Okay, I enjoy reading Mark Twain, and this book has writings in most every style Twain did. There are stories written for humor. Stories written to persuade the reader to act on an issue Twain finds compelling. Some stories here stick it to the MAN. Some are really tall tales. Some are fable-like. And all of them have a dog (or dogs) in them. As Twain might say, some are even true. Most of the stories are very short, making this a good book to read, put down and return later. Some of the dogs in the stories are treated very poorly, and dog lovers may have a tough time with it.
