Moon Shadows #1

Moonlight Captivation

Rate this book
Uncontrolled passion ignites when Neman, an ex-Sumerian Moon god turned hunter, rescues a drunken woman from being killed by a demon. Not long afterward Vanessa finds herself pregnant, with little clue as to who the father is. Then a drop-dead-sexy man turns up on her doorstep claiming to be her baby's father--and a god.

Neman realizes the woman he couldn't resist, and impregnated, is part of a six thousand year old prophecy. But now, every demon ruler from hell wants Vanessa and the baby dead.

During an action packed ride, Neman must bring the prophecy to pass, and protect Vanessa. The woman gets under his skin and into his heart. She gives him a new sense of purpose, one to replace his revenge-filled, demon hunting existence.

I am a full time mother and part time writer. I live in a small country town in Victoria Australia. I have been writing ever since I learned to read, and almost endlessly drifting off into the fantasy world of my imagination.

Thankfully, I have a great group of supporting writer friends; a husband and three; currently small children who help keep me grounded.

When I’m not day dreaming of creating new worlds for my stories or madly typing away on my laptop. I have plenty to keep me busy on the home front.

I love Angela Castle's story ideas...her execution....not so much. This one was published 3 years ago and I've read her Kelon series which have been published more recently. I really enjoyed them and they showed far more technique and polish in her writing style.

Unfortunately the characters in Dangerous Moonlight are half-done, 2 dimensional representations of an idea that could have been great....if given more time and detail.

At the end we're introduced to a whole group of new characters and we barely had time to learn their names. With so little world building we aren't really given the chance to reconcile what we know of this world and the way its made up before wham bam thank you ma'am the fights over.

I wont give up on Angela though....I think I'll just stick with her more recent submissions.

Pretty good. This book left no time for character recriminations which was a pleasant change. I've been getting so tired of characters second, triple, and quadruple guessing themselves and acting out almost as though they were children instead of adults. This book wasted no time on that which was appreciated. It wasn't a great story and was predictable, but enjoyable.

Fab story with great characters. The heroine was spunky and really funny how she teased the other characters. Very sexy read. Loved it!
