Grover & Clementina

Clementina endures so much, from marrying the man she loves and then losing him to war. She had to raise her son alone and stay with her brother in law who treat her more than a slave .

I didn't see this book as others did. The actual story line was not that great. Little to no character development and huge jumps in time left me wondering if I read the same book as the glowing reviewers. It's clean for sure and has a good message but that part isn't focused on or highlighted. The protagonists pray a lot for better situations. That about sums up the message part of it.

It could use a proofreader. Things were capitalized and they didn't need to be. The story is told in a series of letters and each one is signed in large, flowing script that messed up the formatting. Some of the letters to each other are italicized, others aren't. It just didn't keep my interest and I wouldn't recommend this book.

A wonderful read

Widow's Flight is part of the series Beauty For Ashes but is a stand alone by Terri Grace. A widowed and wasted mail order bride saved from the ashes by a war weary cowboy. A heart warming relaxing story. My free opinion. Thanks

STRENGTH THROUGH LETTERS
I loved this beautifully written story of love, loss, friendship, faith, and God answering prayers in His timing. Clementina endures so much, from marrying the man she loves and then losing him to war. John Sparks had a good Christian friend, Grover Ash, who cared enough to contact Clemmie and be a rock during this terrible time in her life. The plot kept me captivated as the letters between Grover and Clementina share faith and eventually two people falling in love as pen pals. The dialog was emotional and heartwarming as these two people rely on each other for comfort, shared renewed faith and companionship via letters. Disclosure: I received an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts, opinions, and ratings are my own.

Clementina married her love, John. Shortly after they married, John was sent off to the Civil War. Celementina received a letter from John's best friend, Grover Ash, that John had been killed in action. Clementina continued corresponding with Grover. Throughout the years he was at war, their correspondence continued as did their friendship, Clementina was stuck living with her drunk brother in law. Was there ever going to be a way that Clememtina and Grover could ever meet? A sweet romantic story that reminds us that God can make a way even when we don't see a way! This book was gifted to me in exchange for my honest review.
