Did humans really evolve from ape-like creatures? Have scientists found fossils of the missing link? What about the similarity between human an chimp DNA? What about the Neanderthal? These and other questions are answered in this Pocket Guide to Apemen. Experts in the fields of paleontology, anatomy, genetics, and ancient Bible texts examine both the scientific evidence and the biblical record to show that humans are not related to apes, but were specially created by God in His image.

After a break from reading creationist literature, it was time to pick it up again. In this booklet we get an insight into the so-called "missing links" and ancestors of man and where the various fossils stand today. The booklet has a special focus on the Neanthertal man, but also CroMagnon man, Piltdown man, Lucy, Ida, Ardis and others. The booklet addresses among other things things that evolutionists try to avoid addressing not to reveal how untenable their arguments are for these creatures and their supposed precursors to man. Some of these have also been revealed as pure forgeries, and it is amazing how far scientists choose to go to get something "proven".

Very concise and powerful... sometimes [not often] technical but not so much that the average well-read layman cannot follow it. It must be, I would think, to show the skeptic the authors know their stuff.

While not as detailed as the book Contested Bones, this booklet is a good overview of the "human evolution" debate, such as the supposed similarity of human and chimp DNA. Unfortunately, the last few pages is the usual Protestant appeal to "trust in Jesus Christ" that is common to creation science books from Protestants.
