Debbie Zello's Romancing Broadway is a fast-paced romp through New York City and Italy. Part romance novel, part teenage angst, her voice is undeniable. I can tell that she will develop into a more complex writer; in this book she tries out a variety of plots, subplots and romantic points of view. I wouldn't be surprised if she tries her hand at screenwriting, because her imagery and descriptions are wonderful. She paints a clear and colorful scene for the reader. I couldn't help wondering how broad an appeal this story would have; who doesn't like a beautiful 20 something woman who falls in love?

There are so many unique things about this book that fascinated me. To begin, the cover is beautiful, and just looking at it alone, should mesmerize you enough to want to buy this book, let alone read it.

Another unique thing is within the book. The book itself has dual endings, allowing the reader to chose which ending suits their needs with concluding the way they want the ending to succeed for them.

The character Samantha West is a strong willful woman who has dreams, just like any one of us. But she plans to at least try to make an, and hopefully succeed at making it big.

Sam has a best friend named Gabby and together they live in an Apartment in New York City. Just like Sam, she too has goals.

Eventually a part comes available in an off Broadway Production. With it comes Cesere Bottari who also grasps Sam’s attention. Without even noticing how involved she’s getting with Cesere, Sam doesn’t even realize he’s dominating her life and interfering with everything.

Disaster arises for Gabby and false accusations end up ruining everything for her. Gabby ends up distraught, but her best friend Sam is seemingly always busy now.

This book, “Romancing Broadway” has two endings, two beautiful, strong, entertaining women, humor, romance, relationship problems, romantic good looking men, and even offers up the world for you to visualize all on a silver platter! This book would make for an excellent movie, so exciting, and so picturesque.

Everything about this book thrilled me! I intend to read it again, only slower so that I can enjoy the characters and sights more thoroughly. This book is truly five stars, I promise you, you will want to read it again, and enjoy it more than once, after all, you can, with two endings! Debbie, truly has a gift, I just hope she plans on including me in her reviews, I totally found a new favorite!

I really enjoyed the first half of this story and especially the heroine, female lead player and her banter with Mr Macho Man Italian Stallion - she plays him very well but never in a bad way, not more than he deserves, she makes it clear she only slows him down not just lets him dangle over the edge without reason. I love her "voice", really liked her and Gabby, but once again the hero isn't my kind of man. Trust is very important for me, not going behind each others backs because one thinks he knows better what's best for her and what she needs. That's not love, in my mind, that's a golden cage and I couldn't stand it. And unfortunately the story becomes quite schmaltzy the longer it goes, especially ending number one, it wasn't really believable anymore (but still very interesting to read) and I liked the unexpected twists that happen more than once throughout the story. I knew there were going to be two ends so I had high hopes that one of them would be her "standing her woman" and deciding against Prince Charming. The concept of an alternate ending was fascinating and very interestingly done, so I give a bonus star for that.

This is a lovely story of romance and the sweet pursuit of true love. Samantha has always dreamed of being on Broadway, sharing her amazing talents and skills. Cesere is a handsome, Italian millionaire who falls for her and seeks to win her. Debbie Zello takes the reader into this relationship and allows her/him to fall in love with their story. Debbie's writing skills make us become part of this story seeing what the characters see and feeling every emotion they feel. That is true genius. I laughed out loud, and teared up in others, as well as drooled durung the sex scenes which were very steamy. I loved the dual endings and while I do have my favorite, I was happy with both. I recommend this book to everyone.

I’ve read one of this author’s other books and it was so different then this. I think the author did a really good job and creating deep characters but also weaving a story that can keep readers intreated. I don’t want to spoil but I will say that I was pretty hooked on the story. A lot happens, but each sevens seemed to fit and flow. Misunderstandings, a beautiful romance and a little “What is going to happen next” propelled this story. I didn’t really care for the alternate ending chapters. I thought the ending was perfect with out needing to add those, but I can see how some might. 4 Stars #2OCCJD

Samantha has always dreamed about going to New York and being in a play on Broadway. Having grown up in a small town in Iowa, she wanted more than what her parents had. Though they wanted her to stay close to home, they gave her six years to attempt to follow her dream. So Sam and her best friend moved to the big city and worked to make things happen.

While working on an off Broadway production, Samantha meets Cesere. He is the money for the play. From the first moment he saw her, he loved her. He would do anything for her.

From the beginning, she runs away from his pursuit of her. But he will stop at nothing to get her. With two alternate endings, it was a nice read.

This author never disappoints with her stories. The characters are varied, many of them relatable (can’t say I know any rich Italians, but otherwise...), and just regular people. This is more than just a small town girl chasing her Broadway dreams. At one point I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. I will never think of a certain song by 10cc the same way again! This story also had an alternative ending which makes it hard to choose which ending is better. You don’t need to be a fan of musicals to enjoy the story.

This story had all the things that I like in a roamnce story with plenty of angst and romance throughout the story. The auhtor did a great jon with the writitng of this story and the creation of the characteres within the story. This was a different read with the alternate endings something that I have not seen in many books before creating a unique spin to this story.

She trying her hardest and 4 and half years later she finally gets a part. And that’s when everything changes for her. She meets a man. And that man falls head over heels for her. Samantha and Cesere's story is full of romance, heartbreak, drama, and angst. All in all a good read. I felt it was slow at times and didn't flow well, but I did want to see what happened. The dual ending was different.... this was my 1st read with dual endings. I have to say I liked the 1st ending better.

Great writing and story line. Characters are very well developed. This book is fast paced with some angst to it. I have to say that I did not care much for the 2 endings. It kind of threw me out of the story line. Other than that I really enjoyed this book.

I did enjoy this book!
It's full of life and love. And the lengths a man will go to gain the love of the woman he wants. Go Cesere!!!
As it has an alternative ending, you get to choose how you want the love story to finish.

I just devoured this one. It was somehow casual and intricately involved all at once. Full of contrasting layers like old fashioned class and modern living. Add the steamy romance and you get a nice banquet!

This is a great read. Cesare creeps me out to no end. I see red flags flying!! I loved the duel ending. They are so completely different but end so close to the same.

Wonderful character building and word play throughout the book.

Wow! I didn't want to put this down! This to me, was a cautious love story. I loved the alternate endings. It gave me a chance to see another ending. The only downside, it felt like the last chapter was rushed. Other than that, I absolutely loved it and now I want more!!😍

Romancing Broadway was an inspirational story, it showed us to never give up on what we truly desire in life, no matter how hard it sometimes seems.

This is Samantha's story, an actress who aims for the top but it was a long haul and took persistance and a never give up attitude.
Great read!

An interesting idea having the reader choose their "own" ending, not sure I am a fan though. A good read with good characters.

I was already missing Debbie Zello’s writing and when the opportunity arose to read more of her work I did not hesitate.
Debbie has a simple and inviting writing, which in this case applies perfectly. Although in the first book I read from her the writing was quite complex, reading this book was a great change and only has demonstrated that she is a fantastic and versatile author. The way this author writes can always captivated me from the first chapter.
Romancing Broadway is a tribute to true love, dreams, aspirations and to never give up of what we want. This book is told by Samantha, an actress on the rise for whom life in stardom was not easy. She really wants to achieve the starlight on the show business world but unfortunately we cannot always have what we want. But her persistence is what leads to never give up. When she got a role in a play, she never imagined that her life would change. But change for the better or worse? The enigmatic Cesare enters her life thanks to his perseverance, from the first moment he saw her, he knew he wanted to love her till the end of time.
This book focuses on love, friendship, the desire to want more and better. The whole story is inspiring, I loved the cast and the plot.
Despite the struggles and disagreements this book is fantastic and I loved the surprise that Debbie has in store for her readers.
Debbie Zello, you are creating a monster and because of that I want more books from you.

It took me a little bit to get into this book, but once I did I enjoyed it.

The story itself wasn't like anything that I have read before. It started out small town girl wants to make it big in New York...sounded like a typical story, but it soon blossomed into more. Samantha's desire to retain her independence, as well as her maintaining her close relationship with Gabby proved to bring her beyond the realm of the stereotypical young starlet. Cesere remained relatively one dimensional until he reveals key information about himself and his past.

The characters gave me pause several times throughout the story. Samantha didn't fit into the typical romance heroine mold, which I appreciated and yet she frustrated me at the same time. There were ultimately a couple of decisions that she made that had me closing the book and walking away from it for a time so I could read it again without being pissed at her. Cesere acted as I would expect a hero to act most of the time. As I continued to read the story I started to like him much more.

In all honestly I found the dual endings not to my liking but that is a personal preference. I know some people like alternate endings but I typically don't. I think that I should have just stuck with the first ending and I would have been much happier.

Samantha comes from a small town but has big dreams. She wants to go to New York and be on Broadway. After convincing her parents to let her go, her best friend Gabby and her move there together. Her parents gave her a six year time frame to find work or she had to come home. With a year and a half left, Sam finally gets her break! With this break she meets the love of her life, Cesere. Life happens and she ends up saying some stuff to Cesere in which he leaves. But can the two of them stay away from one another for good? One feature I really enjoyed with this story was the fact that their are two endings. After Cesere leaves, Sam decides to follow him to Italy, in one ending she stays there and the other she comes back home but will she end back up with Cesere in one or both of the endings? Which ending is your favorite? Personally I liked the second version best. I like what happens for Sam in that one best career wise!

Slightly disappointed

I guess my disappointment with this book is that I expected our heroine to be a stronger character. Without telling too much of what the story is about, her boyfriend keeps doing things to help her behind her back. She just keeps accepting it like good luck not knowing what he is doing. I wanted her to be more intelligent than that.

It is, without question, very much romance. She questions who he is, and what he's after. He offers her everything and she doubts his offers. Most of the time he's chasing her, part of the time she's chasing him. It's a good romance with a satisfying ending.

I found this to be a very interesting experience. I am not normally a reader of these types of books but I did enjoy it. The dual ending was a bit odd but it was a cool factor.

The characters are well written and the plot is good but at times it just seemed s little bit too jumbled for me. All in all though I enjoyed the book although I am not sure d I would want to read more in this "world" the author created.

I love Sam and Cesere's story. This story comes with an alternate ending. I must say that I prefer the first ending, but I do find that Cesere's father maybe earned a hard lesson in ending A.
