And what the former Texas Ranger wanted now was sultry Patrina Forman. But Patrina was set against falling for a man with a no-strings attitude, and there was no way she'd fall into bed with a lawman!
Then a Montana blizzard changed everything. Trapped together for three sinfully delicious nights, Cole soon had Patrina singing a different tune thanks to his brand of red-hot seduction. But what would happen once the thaw arrived?

Another HOT treat from Mrs. Jackson. The Westmoreland clan NEVER fails to entertain. The romance is always SPICY and the camraderie between the family and their circle of friends DEFINITELY makes you want to be a member. Although I thought this one was a little slow-paced at times, it was still a good read. My favorites in the WESTMORELAND series are still "Delaney's Desert Sheikh" and "Thorn's Challenge". But after the brief glimpse into Quade's tale, I can hardly wait 'til December to get the all the JUICY details.
Brenda girlfriend I LOVE YOU but this story felt a bit rush. NOW don't get me wrong i love the story and both characters but i just felt like it wasn't really in depth as i said before it felt rush.
I found myself gravitating to Quade's story more even though its not much but Quade's story got me buzzing. Get the book its good for the collection and a good read but i think it was just rushed.
I love me some Brenda Jackson but it hurts to give her a 3 star rating even though i thought it was a 3.85 stars
Cole and Patrina were a couple destine to happen. Cole's pursuit was to end in success and Patrina was completely lost the moment they made a connection. I would certainly take the time to read this story again sometime in the future.
😬😅 trying to write this review just minutes before midnight on 3-28-21 so :X
... literally initially when I read the blurb I was like "well ... I ... remember listening to the audiobook where the heroine is named Patrice ..." The reviews kinda refreshed my memory - so Patrice is an OB/GYN ... widowed because her deceased husband was killed by a convict so she never wants to get involved with another lawman [or person in general?] Definitely the former, not sure about the latter.
So yeah :X This was one of the few books I didn't listen to again...
I'd say it was probably C or more likely D range. But :X
again - not much that I remembered; other than coming back to it - probable annoyance? :X
Cole and Patrina's story started out interesting with the storm. I could understand her feelings about his profession, but she seemed to be a bit rude at times. That's not to say that some of it may have been due to Cole being a bit pushy on his own. I wouldn't say he was aggressive, just very determined for Trina to see his POV.
Their story felt a bit rushed, but I did like the way Cole wanted to take care of Trina. I also like the way that spending time with Cole helped Trina to give consideration to her stance on his job.
As I stated early, it felt rushed. More like we were racing to the conclusion instead of savoring the journey. This was not a bad Westmoreland book, but there are others that I think are better.
3 stars. Not a favorite of mine but it wasn’t terrible or anything. It was just middle of the road okay. I wasn’t connected to either character and I didn’t really feel the chemistry between them in the beginning. It took until damn near the end for me to warm up to them as a couple. The ending was cute though and of course there were some other beloved Westmorelands in this so that was great as always. Overall, it was fine.

This one I was waiting for since the Great Dr was introduced in an earlier book. I knew she needed somebody that was in this wonderful family. So glad to see these two together...It was a GREAT book and addition to the Westmoreland Family Saga....Looking forwards to some of the others!!!
(audiobook) There is nothing better than listening to Ron Butler (narrator) reading books about beautiful black men and the women they love. I love how strong the women are in these series. Even though the men are very masculine, she does not make the women sugary sweet to the point that they just cower down to the men. I am loving The Westmoreland Series!
I enjoy these but I'm also pretty sick of the 'I'll keep pushing till you say Yes' trope. is being friends with a woman really so hard? oh well. hopefully there aren't too many of these in the rest of the series
This book made me stop reading for 2 months because every time I’d pick it up I’d get incredibly bored. I also hate to not finish a book. Anyway, not my thing, I’m sure someone would enjoy it but these romance novels tend to bore me to sleep.
Wonderful, funny and entertaining story, that will hold your interest from the very first page until the last.I'm looking forward to reading a lot more from this author.
So this whole series is very steamy. Cole Westmorland was a Texas ranger and Patrice a widow vows not to get involved with anyone working in law enforcement again. Love has a way of changing things.
Snowed in together. Cole and Patrina's story was so cute. He got her to give in to passion. Their hearts didn't stand a chance. Really enjoyed this story.
Song of Solomon: 8:7 “ Mighty waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away.” After reading this, I see why the pastors of the church don’t preach on Song of Solomon. Ain’t nobody ready.
A sweet love story. Child, this was good. Stuck in the middle of a snowstorm with this fine man. He got everything in the right places and then some. Dr. Patrina Forman a widow, after losing her husband 5 years after their marriage, when he was killed by an escaped convict. Trina’s husband was a Sheriff and she vowed never to get involved with anyone connected to law enforcement. Trina and her husband were childhood sweethearts and after his death the desire to love died when she buried him, until she meets Cole Westmoreland.
Patrina and Cole’s connection started with just a stare when they encountered each other at a wedding a few years back. Fast forward, Cole is driving in a snowstorm and loses control of his rental car and crashes. Passed out and unconscious at the wheel, Trina sees the car and rescues him, recognizing who he was decided to take him back to her ranch. Phones are down and electricity is out and because Cole does not have any serious injuries, Trina figures she could doctor him back to health.
It was a cat and mouse between Trina and Cole, stuck in the house and no where to go. There was no escape from the sexual attraction they both shared. Cole was eager and determined to have Trina and although she had no intentions of considering Cole’s advances, her desire outweigh her senses. Cole was the one that could bring the love that Trina needed back into her life. This is a must read and read again. I truly loved this story and I give it a 5 out of 5 stars.
Cast: • Precious Lee as Patrina Forman • Lebron James as Cole Westmoreland
When a Westmoreland man sets his sights on an object of desire, not even a Montana blizzard can stand in his way! Patrina Foreman, widowed OB-GYN, is so dedicated to her work and her patients that she has placed her own needs “on the shelf”. Well, Cole is self-appointed to be the one to help Patrina recognize her needs and remove her from the place she currently occupies “on the shelf”. In the process of trying to rearrange her life, Cole realizes he could use a little adjustment and voila a transformation occurs in this confirmed bachelor. I have learned with Ms. Jackson, the more adamant her bachelor is to not get involved in a long term relationship, the more committed they actually become to a life long companion. Cole Westmoreland, as it turns out, is no different. As a sidenote, I commend Ms. Jackson for creating a character in Patrina that other non-model sized females can identify with!
Former Texas Ranger, Cole Westmoreland is a man that knows what he wants and goes in the the kill to get it. After meeting Dr. Patrina Foreman, Cole was smitten. Little did he know that he was in for a rude awakening if he thought Patrina was going to give into him easily, especially knowing he was a lawman that she swore she would never get involved with another one after he beloved husband was killed in the line of duty. A must read in order to find out how Cole was able to win the love of his life over!!!!!
Cole's Red-Hot Pursuit. This book was interesting. Cole gets standed in a snow storm and rescued by a woman he had eyes for for a long time. Patrina takes him back to her place to nurse him back to health. Cole decide to take a chance to pursue her since they were snowed in. She didn't want anything to do with him because she believed he was still a Texas Ranger and she didn't want to be attached to another lawman after her husband was killed in the line of duty. Thinngs change when Cole pursues her and shows her another form of love. Great read.
first off I will say that I am glad I finished this before my battery ran out. It was good, I thought it was going to go a little deeper but it was still good. Probably one of my favorites from this author. I've read so many of them...naw I think irresistble forces no Thorn's challenge is still number one. But this is good and definitely worth the read. I wish to this day I would have read them in order but I am all over the place.
Cole is in town. A surprise visit to his father's home leaves him stranded during a snow-storm with Patrina. Patrina is still trying to get past the death of her husband and she does not want anything to do with a man involved in law enforcement.
I noticed Goodreads has two authors listed for this volume: "by Brenda Jackson, Olivia Gates (Goodreads Author)". Did they co-write it or are there two stories in the volume or is this an error?
I know both their stories are in the book entitled: 'In Too Deep' but I think this is a different book.
Cole, Clinton and Casey Westmoreland are new favorites among The Westmorelands. In this book, Cole Westmoreland makes Dr. Patrina Foreman a believer: beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and "It's all That Bass". Google it. This book is a confidence builder for every woman who thinks "thin is in". Ask your man or rather check out Cole's Red-Hot Pursuit.
Bueno Cole Westmorelands no es la excepción al afirmar que seguirá siendo soltero pero bueno eso ya lo había escuchado de los Westmorelands y pues al final cuando encuentran a su pareja no ven la hora de estar casados jajajajajaja :D
