Bestselling, award winning author Barbara McMahon has written more than 80 novels which have sold more than 16 million copies world wide in more than fifty countries in twenty-eight languages.
Known for her heartwarming, emotional stories, she excels in capturing those feelings when first falling in love. She has won or been nominated for every major award in the romance genre from a double nomination in the RITA to winning the Bookseller's Best, National Readers Choice Award and the prestigious HOLT Medallion, among others.
Barbara lives in West Michigan with her husband and two fur babies. Her favorite passtimes are genealogy research and taking her dogs on walks in the wood behind their home.
Eliza was forced out of her long term foster home at age 16 and doesn't come back until 12 years later, after her former foster mother had a stroke. I liked this, but the romance had too much baggage - 12 years the guy blamed her for the death of his sister and he was over it in a few weeks? I mean, even assuming he was more rational than presented and knew all along that she couldn't be to blame but couldn't bear to confront the experience, it tends to put stress on a relationship. This was book one of a trilogy and so a lot of strings are entirely loose. And of course no libraries around own the last two any longer. I'm sure I figured out the big things (the A who wrecked Chelsea's life and presumably Jo's), but what on earth was the foster mom's deal with the loan? Sigh. I'll never know. Unless I spend the $7 to buy them on my kindle app.
