REVIEW
This book bundle is filled with everything a paranormal addict could want and more. I loved each and every story but will focus my review on a few only.

Caridad Pineiro: Undead Uprising: A Wolf Alone - Absolutely loved this story. She is the daughter of an Alpha who is determined his daughter will take a proper mate. She however is very strong willed and minded and much more than a she wolf. The man she wants is the human healer and that is who she will have unless she dies in the process. Catalina is determined but can she change her fathers mind? Ramon knows how to handle Catalina and her wolfie ways but is he man enough to be exactly what she needs although he is human?

Ann Gimpel: Highland Secrets - In this story we have dragons who don't realize exactly what they are as they are being kept from so many things. Angus has been kept by magic and he dwells his time away with the sea sirens. But when another dragon female enters the story all bets are off and Angus wants a life more than anything else. Will Arainrhod be what Angus needs?

Julia Mills: Her Dragon's Soul - Liam knows his mate is Hannah and he is sure she knows as well but something has taken over Hannah and its up to Liam to get the rest of his clansmen / and women to help him save her. The black wizards are never ending and seem to take what is not theirs to have. Jace is having a hard time believing any of it but his mate Melanie makes him see and from there the fight begins. Royce and Kyra are also on board. Fantastic Story of the newest dragon guardsmen.

Melissa Snark: Hunger Moon - I seriously need to read the rest of the books in this series. I truly loved it and I have to say this is a first for me by this author. Victoria is a shewolf but much more she is also a Valkyrie. She has the site and can also see souls, ghosts and much more and she is a healer. She is in love with a hunter which brings nothing but heartache to herself and her pack. She is told by the goddess to go to california and there she will find a mate with the strength that she will need to save what is left of her pack. Victoria ends up dealing with more than she ever thought possible. Can she find true love or more despair?
Wickedly good story

This was an awesome collection of stories of werewolves, vampires, dragons, you name it, it was in there. Starting with Undead Uprising which draws you into the war between vampires and werewolves and brings you back in history to where it all started. You always have the conflict between what your heart truly wants or give it all up for the good of the clan. This story left me looking for more and hoping that there was more to this story.

Lizzie Fair and the Dragon of Heart's Desire brought out the crazy world of the fae. Becareful what you ask for or learn to say exactly what you want because the fae will give you something totally different from what you ask for.

Dragons and more dragons... Highland secrets a tale of adventure with the old celtic gods who keep interfering with the lives of everyone else. Will they be able to save the human race from the dark god invaders, will they be able to find enough dragons to turn the tides of the battle... will love be enough to save them all.... read to find out.

Her Dragon's Soul... The newest adventure of the dragon guard series. Will fate finally be denied just when it was so close to being obtained. Will the dragon be able to save his soul mate before all is lost. I dearly love this newest addition to the series and I'm sure you will too.

I was gifted an ARC of "Edge of Never", in exchange for an honest review.

I have yet to read ALL the stories within, but if what I have read so far is an idication of what to expect.... I'm in for a treat. I will update, once I have finished another story within this boxset.

Undead Uprising (A Villalobos Legacy, Part 1: A Wolf Alone) by Caridad Pineiro.... This was my introduction to Caridad's writing & what an introduction! An extremely strong warrior she-wolf, born to be the next alpha, alone with her power, in-love with a human.... I want more of this story & will be keeping an eye out for more.

Lizzie Fair & the Dragon of Heart's Desire by Rosemary Edghill....

ARC- Melissa Snark. The only two stories I'd recommend to anyone from this boxed set is Hunger Moon by Melissa Snark and Highland Secrets by Ann Gimpel. Both of those books are well beyond a 5 star rating but I wasn't really impressed by the rest of the stories. This is by far the hardest boxed set I've ever reviewed. I'm rating it at 4 stars but really it's more like 3.75 star's.

Undead Uprising by Caridad Pineiro- I didn't care too much for this werewolf vs vampire story by this new to me author.

Lizzie Fair and the Dragon of Hearts Desire by Rosemary Edghill- This story made me feel like I had fallen down the rabbit hole with Alice and was talking to the Mad Hatter.

Show Trial by Kristine Kathryn Rusch- Couldn't get into this story at all.

Finnraziel by Brenda Carre- A little complex but a good story.

Highland Secrets by Ann Gimpel- An all time favorite author of mine. My review from Amazon and Goodreads- YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO READ THIS! That was SPECTACULAR! I LOVED every part of this prequel in the Dragon Lore series. I love the blend of ancient and modern Celtic and other culture's gods/goddesses and mythology. There certainly are the most fascinating secrets in the past and present Highlands!! I'm extremely excited to see where best selling author Ann Gimpel takes this story! If you've not gotten your self ensorcelled in Ann Gimpel's magical storytelling and worlds then you absolutely should ASAP! Because this my fellow book worms is just one of many!

Angus Shea was sent assignment by Ceridwen, Mother Goddess of the World to get to the bottom of a dragons murder. Arianrhod (or Arian), Celtic Virgin Hunter Goddess, goes a long for a break in boredom of thousands of year's worth of Immortality. Can the two of them complete this assignment without exposing secrets, failure, dying, or falling in love?

Specters in the Storm by Pauline Baird Jones- It took me a little to get into this story but I am so glad that I didn't give up on it. Was an excellent book. 4 stars

Her Dragon's Soul by Julia Mills- This being the eighth or ninth story in this series did leave me with a bit of a set back but I still enjoyed this story from new to me author Julia Mills. 3.75 stars.

Dragons will Fall by Susan Scott- An ok story from this new to me author. The leading female character was just too weak.

Hunger Moon by Melissa Snark- Another all time favorite author of mine. My review taken from my posts on Amazon and Goodreads- I LOVED IT!! This is one series you are not going to want to miss! Brilliantly planned and written book! Action packed and full of surprises. And who doesn't love Norse mythology and werewolves?! Ok, so I'll admit it, I cheated and have already read the next one (Battle Cry). Just whatever you do, don't try to predict any of this series by Melissa Snark. She will far surpass your expectations and delivers in spades. I'm totally addicted to this series and it should come with a warning label! Excellent author! Excellent series! No spoilers here.

This set of books are such a delight. I have one finished and thought I would review as I go. So here it is and I will add to this review in the near future.
Highland Secrets by Ann Gimpel I give 5 stars
Wow, this book blew me away! There are no words to say how much I loved it. Who doesn't love dragons? The world Ann builds is so fascinating. I want to say it is complex but it's not overwhelming. I felt like each part of it was introduced in just the right way. I loved when they visited Fire Mountain. I could just picture what it looked like and feel the heat. That was great because it's been so cold here. Lol. All the places in the story made me feel like I was looking at a rainbow of colors. The characters were well developed. I loved both the hero and heroine. The heroine was very strong and never whiny. Trust me, you will love her. I think my favorite part was the selkies. I want to live in the ocean with them. I could go on and on but I will Give away spoilers if I do that.

This anthology contains books from 9 authors. In addition to these 9 stories, some of the authors offer glimpses of some of their other work (but not other full novels). I will review the 9 books starting with the one I enjoyed the most and working my way down from there until I hit my least favorite.

#1: Dragons Will Fall by Susan Scott
I really enjoyed this book. From it's position on this list, it is clear it was my favorite of the 9 books. It had an interesting story line that was intricate but not overly complex. The book definitely pulled me in. The characters were well-rounded and enjoyable to read about. One of my favorite parts: I found it funny in many places (I always love a book that can make me laugh out loud). I will definitely be looking to read other books in the Kingdom Come series by Scott! [Note: this could be read as a stand-alone.]

#2: Hunger Moon by Melissa Snark
This book came in at a close second. I think what kept it from being #1 was that it didn't end nearly as happily as Dragons Will Fall. Once again, it was a very interesting story. All of the characters and their relationships with each other are very dynamic, which is enjoyable. While this one made me laugh a couple of times, it also brought me close to tears at other times. For a book to be able to evoke such sadness, to me at least, is a sign it's a well-written book. Once again, I am interested in reading other books in the Loki's Wolves series. [Could be read as a stand-alone.]

#3: Her Dragon's Soul by Julia Mills
This one was cute. It was one of the shorter books included in the anthology, but it was a nice contrast to some of the longer ones. To me it felt like the main action (the rescue) happened far too early. There was far too little time building up to it and far more time following it. While I enjoyed what came after, it would've been nice had the book been a little bit more leveled out. As this was book #9 in Mills' Dragon Guard series, I had a little trouble keeping the different dragon clans straight and sorting through how each relates to one another and other clan dynamics. Since I really enjoyed this book, I hope to read books 1-8 at some point (which will undoubtedly make certain aspects of this book much clearer).

#4: Highland Secrets by Ann Gimpel
A great intro to Gimpel's Dragon Lore series. That being said, it ends in a cliffhanger. The ending isn't sad, but it isn't quite HEA either. It is definitely a "to be continued..." type ending with definite hope for the future of the protagonists. What starts out as a seemingly simple (if not difficult) mission, soon morphs into more than any of the characters expected. It was interesting to watch the characters pursuing the multiple problems that needed solving. The book definitely intrigued me and makes me want to read more of the series to find out what happens with the protagonists. (Though, to be honest, a part of me is apprehensive about doing so for fear the characters male and female protagonists never end up together living happily ever after.)

#5: Undead Uprising: Urban Fantasy, Shifter, Werewolf, Vampire and Paranormal Romance E-Serial Part 2 by Caridad Piñeiro
I was skeptical of this book at first but ended up enjoying it. It was rather short though, so I wasn't able to get an excellent feeling for the Villalobos Legacy series. I definitely enjoyed it enough to consider continuing the series though! Warning: it ends in a giant cliffhanger.

#6: Show Trial by Kristine Kathryn Rusch
Out of all 9 books, this book definitely had the least romance and the least paranormal (as in none and minimal, respectively). The only inklings of the paranormal appear near the end of the book. Regardless, I would not be adverse to reading any future books stemming from this one. Once again, this book ends in a cliffhanger.

#7: Specters in the Storm by Pauline Biard Jones
I didn't get into this book nearly as much as any of the previous 6. I did have romance and what appears to be a HEA ending, so that was really nice. It could get confusing at times, though. I feel that there was plenty that could've been better explained. This book does not end in a cliffhanger.

#8: Finnraziel by Brenda Carre
I found this book rather dark and it definitely didn't have a HEA ending. While there's hope in the ending for future generations, there is none whatsoever for the characters of the book. This book doesn't end in a cliffhanger and it is truly unclear as to whether there is or will be a sequel. If there is/will be, I'm not sure whether or not I'd want to read it. Even wanting to know what happens to Finn and Keele, I couldn't say for certain whether or not I'd be interested in reading a sequel.

#9: Lizzie Fair and the Dragon of Heart's Desire by Rosemary Edghill
While reading this book I found three words repeating in my head: "What the f***?" I'm honestly not sure if I can come up with a better way to describe this book.

On the whole, this was a pretty enjoyable anthology. As it is, depending on the price, it would be a toss up as to whether or not I'd spend money to buy the anthology or just buy my favorites. But I didn't read the extras in my hurry to finish the book (which were quite numerous), and that could be a very good reason to go with the anthology over selecting a few individual books.

Nine different paranormal stories.

Undead Uprising: A Wolf Alone by Caridad Pineiro
Catalina is next to be Alpha of her pack. For years her pack has hunted the vampires that prey on humans and keep their true nature hidden. Catalina is different from the rest of her pack and is stronger as a human than any wolf and her wolf is uncontrollable. She has fallen in love with a human and does not believe in the way of life of her pack, killing all vampires. The vampires' seem to be changing how they attack the wolves.
An intriguing tale focusing on Catalina and her struggle to come to grips with being the next in line for Alpha after her father. Her family is not to be trusted and her clan people seem very political and are also plotting her downfall. There is so much more to this tale and this story is only a glimpse into what is going on.

Lizzie Fair and the Dragon of Heart's Desire by Rosemary Edghgill
Lizzie is a messenger in Manhattan and is confronted by Nimrod Wildfire to travel to Phaerie as a mortal maid. Her yes was more of sarcasm, but she was in Phaerie non the less.
An interesting story of travel to Phaerie and dealing with Oberon and Tatiana. Lizzie must be honest with herself and with what she wants. She must also be careful of what she says.

Show Trial by Kristine Kathryn Rusch

Finnraziel by Brenda Carre

Highland Secrets by Ann Gimpel

Specters in the Storm by Pauline Baird Jones

Her Dragon's Soul by Julie Mills

Dragons Will Fall by Susan Scott

Hunger Moon by Melissa Snark

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is a well written collection of great stories that will take you into the realms of Dragons, Wolves, Vampires, Ghosts and more in this must read collection. My favorite story was by Ann Gimple. Highland Secrets-A Dragon Lore Prequel.
This is a story about ancient and modern celtic mythology with the interaction of some of the gods and goddesses, along with dragon shifters and Angus Shea. Angus's identity was stolen from him when he was a child. To get it back he is given jobs by the gods/goddess with a promise that after what they feel he has paid his dues he will get his memory back. While working with the Celtic Goddess, Arianrhood, the Virgin Hunter, he discovers who he is and his family. They are attracted to each other, will they give in to the attraction or not. A well written and edited story by Ann Gimple. I am now going to read the rest of her series. For 99 cent you cannot pass up this set.

Great boxset. Worth the price just for the story Dragons Will Fall.

I read Susan Scott's book Dragons Will Fall. It is a wonderful tale of dragons, magic users, and humans. The story is action packed and full of intrigue and romance. Kas is a half human magic user, shunned by the pure bred magic users. Her magic is inconsistent and as a result, even the other half breeds despise her. Even so, she puts her life at risk to protect the half breeds from humans want to annihilate the half breeds, believing they are abominations. Cullen is a black dragon shifter and leader of his people. His people are dying from an unknown illness. He takes Kas as he hopes she can use her magic to save his people. But she is untrained, and evil forces may wipe out the dragons before Kas will be able to help. This was a fantastic tale of two people trying to save their own people, and learning to love and save each other. I am looking forward to reading the other stories in this boxset.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

This bundle has a lil bit of something something in it for everyone; with vampires and shifters, oh my, you’ll be hard-pressed to find something you don’t enjoy.

For me, I thoroughly enjoyed Undead Uprising by Caridad Pineiro, Highland Secrets by Ann Gimpel, and Hunger Moon by Melissa Snark. They are such wonderfully-written, fully developed stories with amazing storylines and characters.

I read all the stories within this bundle, however the other stories I had a difficult time getting into due to issues with either not liking them, not feeling them or just couldn’t relate to the characters or the storyline.

So if you are looking for something different, then grab yourself a copy and start reading...like I said there is something here for everyone.

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Melissa Snark. This review is for her Hunger Moon book which is in this anthology.

Victoria Storm is trying to save her pack from hunters, her ex lovers family and a witch. What is a girl to do to save her people? When she finds herself trying to seduce the alpha of a larger pack she finds herself having to work again the odds.

Love the characters and the story line in this book. This book is part of the Loki's Wolves series by the author and was included in the group stories.
