Paramour for the Devil

Rate this book
The Hawthorne Witch Series Book One

Darkly erotic. Supremely powerful.

Haley Hawthorne is a witch. She shuns her paranormal gifts, instead escaping into a mundane, reclusive life as an accountant for her Uncle Eli's firm. Five years earlier, Haley was kidnapped by Raden, brother of Lucifer, and held captive as his personal sex slave. She escaped but still bears the scars, both physical and emotional. Now she has turned away from both magic and sex, and she's certain nothing will ever bring those lost things back into her life...

Damian, son to Lucifer, has renounced his right to the throne of Hell and has become a soldier for Adversus, hunting evil supernatural creatures on Earth. Unfortunately, he's powerless to witches, and this witch can read his mind. He can't decide what is more dangerous—the irresistible attraction he feels for her, or the intoxicating peace she gives him. One thing is certain, they both share a tortured past.

After Damian rescues her from an attack by monstrous djinn, Haley discovers the dangerously seductive soldier has secrets of his own. One of them is the collection of whips, ropes, handcuffs, and leather riding crops he keeps locked away, though he refuses to show her his "Master" side. As her trust in him grows, she finds herself increasingly intrigued by all the kinky things he's hiding. But Damian has been given a new mission to kill a monster. A monster that turns out to be her uncle...

You know when you start a new to you author/authors first book; you think, it will probably be ok? Nope… this book is an AWESOME first from author Savannah Hill! This book was written to hold your attention, to have you turning to the next page to find out what happens next or to tap your screen all through the night to read “just one more chapter”.

Haley Hawthorne escaped from Hell five years ago, in turn, has given up men. She was abducted by a demon named Raden, it took Haley three months of well… Hell to escape. Haley was content to work as an accountant for her Uncle Eli/the man who raised her. Haley’s best friends, Ginger, also her cousin, and their friend Amiee, whom happens to also be a witch. For years Haley was scared to exit her home alone at night. But when her brother brings home his partners from Adversus, she has other reasons to be worried.

Damian is one of her brother’s partners and a soldier for Adversus, also happens to be a demon turned to the good side. Damian has renounced his family and those ties. Not only is Damian a demon, but his father just happens to be the one and only Lucifer! Haley is mortified when she recognizes Damian. For it was his Uncle that had kidnapped her five years ago and dragged her to Hell. Haley hopes that he doesn’t remember her in her time of utter debasement. But Damian remembers Haley, and knows the torture she endured at his uncle's hand. Haley soon learns Damien has his own secrets of weakness and demons to deal with. What's a girl to do when she finds herself smitten with the spawn of Lucifer? Will their love endure all the secrets and demons they both have, or will Damien's next mission destroy them both?

As events unfold, Haley and Damian are drawn to each other. Both find it impossible to stay away from each other. As their feelings develop for each other, the sex gets hotter. But can Damian protect Haley from those who would do her harm as well as complete his next mission that may or may not tear them apart?

I was given this ARC so I could give it an honest review. The story moves at a steady pace with enough detail to keep the reader intrigued without making the story boring. This is a very sexy read. This story gives you great paranormal erotica/romance and touches on some hot BDSM. I look forward to the next in the series to come out and would recommend this to all my PNR reading friends. Definitely an author worth reading, again thank you for a wonderful read!

3 1/2 Stars for this book.

While Damian may be the youngest of the Devil’s brood, he is destined to be his father’s successor. But after being left in the torturous hands of an evil witch for 3 years, Damian is not inclined to step up to the plate and has chosen a more noble path in the human realm.

Haley is a mousy, withdrawn young woman, who just wants to fly under the radar and live a quiet inconspicuous life. For the last five years she has looked over her shoulder and feared the darkened streets and the shadows. After months of torture, sexual abuse and unspeakable degradation while the captive of Damian’s uncle Raden in the bowels of Hell, Haley’s fragile, reclusive and is happy with her solitary existence.

Damian and Haley are the primary characters in this story about an Order of hunters called the Adversus, and the young people with unusual gifts that are soldiers, or healers in their ranks.

While the story had some exciting moments and elements of danger, it was essentially about the relationship between Damian and Haley, which was mostly sex. Don’t get me wrong, I love a HOT story as much as anyone, but I felt that the book lost momentum through the middle as the couple were always in the throws of lust, and not much else was happening.

The story had so much promise, but other than one feeble attempt by one of Raden’s demons to recapture Haley, she was never really in any danger. And after being told that Haley was prophesised to result in Damian’s rise to power in Hell, nothing more was mentioned.

So while Paramour for the Devil casts an interesting view on Satan and his sons,I felt the book was too long based on all the sex scenes, left issues unanswered and that it finished abruptly.

Holy HELL! I don't even know how to write a review good enough for this book! From page ONE I was so I love with Haley! She is sweet, soft spoken with a sense of humor that I love! Damien, Damien, Damien.. The son of Satan and surely hotter than hell itself! He is Sexy but kind of the silent type until Haley is around. I love their chemistry and silly banter back and forth! I hate spoilers so I don't want to give too much away. This story is incredible, fun, sexy and has spots that will make you sit up and strangle anyone who tries to interrupt your reading. This is a book I will read over and over and poor, Savannah Hill will be having to block me on social media because I am SO ready for more of her work!!

I have a spotlight of this book up on my blog: Raquel Gabrielle's Blog

This was not my cup of tea. I was expecting so much more from it, during the fight scenes they did have most of them were confusing to read. Also if she describes how huge he is one more time I might have had to throw my nook across the room and that would be bad but seriously we understand he's got something something down there but don't explain it 5 million times. It just didn't feel real the characters were one dimensional I mean when one is kidnapped and raped one does not just go into a relationship one that is sexual without any problems occurring.

This book had me from the first sentence. This book has just enough edge of your seat action, heart pounding intrigue, and super hot and steamy sex scenes that I had to have cold water on hand to cool off after reading! The depth and perseverance of the characters were just genius and you couldn't help but fall in love with them. This is a very must read. I couldn't put this book down, as a matter of fact I got this book on yesterday and finished today! I will be adding this author to my favorite list. I pray that this is only the beginning and that there are more books to come! An awesome read!

I loved this novel and couldn't put it down until I finished it. The story drew me in immediately. The characters and the world they live in are so fully formed as to almost seem real. There are plenty of twists an turns that kept me interested. A review of this book would not be complete without mentioning the eroticism.....Steamy and titillating. I highly recommend this book. It is a great read.

Paramour for the Devil is a high octane and wickedly passionate paranormal masterpiece. The wonderfully original plot will delight your senses as the stunning characters burrow their way into your heart. Nothing can prepare you for the delicious heat, beautiful love, and incredible passion that fill the pages of this highly addictive paranormal romance. I could live in the paranormal world and never get tired of the boundless possibilities and the creative splendor that epically talented authors weave and create.

Haley has had a good life even if it has been slightly tainted by a dark evil. She found an unknown strength within herself to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Her life has become small and predictable, but she takes comfort in the loving family and friends that she surrounds herself with. They are her joy and her foundation to her second chance at life. Damian turned his back on his family. He wants absolutely nothing to do with them. The only thing he wants is to fight for his new life which is untouched by his ugly past. When Damian crosses Haley’s path, he can’t help but be pulled in by her fiery courage and her undeniable loving heart. She is everything that he wants, and he will fight for her no matter the cost. When unknown forces plot and plan to destroy them, can Damian protect Haley, or will history repeat itself?

I couldn’t get over how wonderfully gentle and sensitive Damian is with Haley. He doesn’t treat her with kit gloves in spite of her past. Instead, he lets her lead the pace in building their friendship. He can be patient for what he wants if it means that he can have all of her with no boundaries. He tames his alpha male tendencies, and in return he gets to watch Haley blossom into a spectacular woman who loves with all her heart, is loyal to a fault, and exudes a breathtaking courage. Haley revels in what she has found in Damian. She knows he is a rare treasure, and she plans on savoring every second with him. She is able to draw much needed strength and hope from him as she spreads her wings and prepares to fly high and with confidence.

Savanah Hill is a wonderful author who has touched my heart with her fantastic story! I couldn’t get enough of it and had to read it in one sitting. What a glorious story of rebirth and wonderful discovery! Nothing can quite compare to such an incredible tale. The characters she brought to life were intriguing and dazzling. I hated to see this story come to an end, and I hope to read more by this author very soon.

*I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.*

I'd been looking for a new paranormal series and I found it in Savannah Hill's Hawthorne Witches series! She spins a tale that captivates the reader and is enjoyable. Her character and world-building are phenomenal. I felt like I got to know not only the main two characters, Damian and Haley, but also the secondary characters, their friends, co-workers, and family members.

Damian, the youngest son of Lucifer, left Hell and joined the Adversus Order, a group of soldiers and witches who protect the world from evil paranormal entities, such as demons and djinn. Haley is a powerful witch who works as an accountant for the Hawthorne group, run by her uncle. Both of the main characters are damaged: Damian, the perfect mixture of alpha, protective male who is also caring, grew up in Hell and later was tortured by a psycho witch, and Haley, who lost her parents to a demon attack and was later kidnapped by Raden, Damian's uncle, and taken to Hell to be used as a sex slave. Given their pasts, I appreciated that Mrs. Hill didn't have them fall into bed together right away. Instead, they fought their attraction to each other and the sex came fluidly, and in time.

This book really does have it all! There's action and some violence, drama, romance, humor, a little bit of darkness, and really, really, really HOT sex! There are quite a few sex scenes, but they're different, so they don't feel repetitive. The book doesn't end on a cliffhanger, but it is a series, and I'm looking forward to reading the next one! I'd like to discover what makes Haley so powerful, and if Damian, the heir to the throne of Hell, ascends to the destiny his father decreed for him. I also can't wait to see Haley and Damian's relationship continue to progress and learn how they continue to heal each other. ****Trigger Warning: There are both discussions of and a brief scene of rape.****

**This review is 100% honest and may contain a spoiler or two**

Paramour for the Devil is a paranormal romance that had an interesting premise, but fell a little bit flat for me. I was excited by the thought of all the supernatural creatures I would get to discover in the book; unfortunately, they seemed to take a back seat to other things.

Haley, a witch, has a pretty tame life as an accountant. However, it wasn't always that way. She used to be the personal sex slave of one of Lucifer's sons. Definitely not a good thing.

Damien, another son of Lucifer, is a soldier fighting against the side of evil he should be on. He's not exactly fond of witches, either, having been used and abused by one before.

Somehow, though, Haley and Damien find a way to get along, and their friendship eventually blossoms into something more romantic...and erotic.

There's not really much for me to say about the plot, except it wasn't what I expected. I was looking forward to action and exciting things with paranormal creatures. Instead, I got sex, sex, and more sex. Now, don't get me wrong; I like sexy times in books as much as the next person, but this was a little too much for me. I felt like the characters only cared about screwing each other's brains out while everything else went on around them.

There are mentions of djinn, dragons, evil witches, demons, and more. However, you barely get a taste of those creatures, because all that's going on is Damien and Haley needing to have sex all the time. I get it. He's hot. He's an alpha male. He's kinky. And apparently he can pop a boner at the drop of a hat. That's all fine and dandy, but I got bored reading about how good he was in bed.

Also, there was an overabundance of adverbs in this book. Every sentence seemed to have one in it. If you're going to tell me a character is sad or something, don't just say they sighed sadly. Describe their emotion to me. Make me feel it! I want to be sad with that character. If they're having sex, make me feel like I'm in bed with them. Don't say they're moaning lustfully. I don't know what moaning lustfully sounds like in my head. Describe it to me! That's all I ask. Adverbs are ok once in a while, but I like it when an author shows me rather than tells me what's going on. Your character didn't just sigh sadly, the sound of her sigh was reminiscent of dandelion seeds being blown from their perch upon their flower's head. It caused an ache in my bones and a burning behind my eyes. That's how I could tell she really was depressed. Maybe that's not the best description, but you get my drift.

Overall, I felt Paramour for the Devil had potential, but was in serious need of focusing more on the actual plot and less on constant sex, and some editing with the adverbs. I really wanted to like the book, but I just ended up a little frustrated and bored. I'm sorry.

I rate Paramour for the Devil 2.5 stars.

Paramour for the Devil by Savannah Hill the first book in the Hawthorne Witches Book Series.

Holly heck…..this book was awesome.

This book centers on Haley Hawthorne (witch) and Damian (son of Lucifer). I have to say this book has some action and lots of hot sex. Haley is an accountant at Hawthorne Towers and works for her uncle Eli. She has 2 brothers Adam and Stephen who work for Adversus Order since they were in junior high. The Adversus Order is a private government agency who is dedicated to killing evil supernatural beings. Damian is a solder in this Order even though he is the youngest son of Satan.

Haley and Damian meet at her house for the first time after a night of drinking. When Haley shakes his hand she has visions of his past and a bolt of desire shoots through her. They have a chemistry from their first meeting. She tries to ignore these feelings she has because she has sworn off sex due to her kidnapping five years earlier. Throughout that night she has a few visions and realizes she saw him during her captivity.

Raden, Satan’s brother, kidnapped her and used her as his personal sex slave for 6 months. Haley managed to escape and make it back to the Order so they could heal her. She continues to fear Raden and stays in California to stay safe.

The group heads out and get attached by djinn. Damian saves Haley’s life which changes the dynamics of their relationship and he feels he needs to keep her safe. The decision is made to move to Seattle until the djinn is taken care of. During the stay at Damian’s house the sexual tension grows and ultimately breaks. Things get very hot at this point and Damian becomes very possessive.

We find out Eli has been killing people so he can make himself immortal and has gotten the attention of the Adversus Order who order him to be killed. With a heavy heart Noah and Damian strike a deal with Eli to have him turn over a new leaf so they don’t have to kill him. Throughout we find out Eli fakes his death and comes after Haley because he originally sold her to Raden and is taking her back there. What happens? You have to read to find out.

This book has many different characters that have stories of their own. Ginger (Eli’s daughter) and Noah (Adversus soldier) are a couple. Amiee (college friend) and Stephen (Haley’s brother) are a couple. Adam also a soldier in the Adversus order and is slated to take over command soon. The complexity of the story and all of the scenes in on earth and “hell” leave you wondering what will happen next.

If you love paranormal erotica then this is the book for you. I believe there will be a sequel to this book, according to the back of the book.

I will never provide any spoilers here and this book had a mostly HEA but left me with many questions and several loose ends.

PLEASE READ, highly recommended.

I still read the occasional paranormal romance but it’s definitely not my main genre right now so I’m not sure what all is out there. Which means I’m not the best to say how original this world is :), but I think that Hill does a great job of creating one that is interesting. It’s got just the right touch of real world to make you think that it could be happening around you but yet be full of witches, demons, monsters and supernatural soldiers.

Haley went through something horrible and I’m impressed by how well she’s recovered. She’s still not completely healed and hesitates to get intimate with any man, especially the nephew of the man who held her captive (and someone who saw her in that situation). But being able to see into Damian’s mind helps I think. She starts to understand him a little better and see past who he used to be.

Damian may be the son of Satan but he is now working for the other side, fighting demons and monsters. Working with her brothers introduces him to Haley and spending time with the sexy witch draws him in. But can he breach the walls that her time in Hell built … and what happens when he’s ordered to kill her uncle?

I love the relationship and trust that builds between these two. They each have reasons to be wary of the other but time (and the glimpses they get of each other’s thoughts) start to forge something sweet. Damian is amazingly patient and understanding of all of Haley’s hangups. And she’s definitely strong, she just has to remember that. There’s danger mixed in with the love story, as expected with most paranormal romances, and it adds that extra oomph to the book.

Because it is the first in the series, there is a lot of extra explanation that has to happen, but I don’t feel like it bogged things down. I do, though, think there were times where it might have been missing some of the history related to this story. I’m not sure if that was intentional or not, because they weren’t big things but just enough that I wanted a little more info. I’m curious to see where Hill goes from here and whether we get some of those answers when the rest of the Hawthornes gets their stories.

Since Haley Hawthorne's escape from Hell, nearly 5 years ago, she has turned her back on her magic and forsaken all men. She is content to work at her Uncle Eli's company as an accountant and hang out with her friends Aimee and Ginger. Damien has relinquished his right to the throne in Hell and wants to protect humans from the evil his father and family unleash on Earth. You see Damien is Lucifer's son and has become one of the top soldiers in Adversus, whose job is to protect humans from the supernatural beings roaming this plane. When Haley, Ginger, and Aimee are attached by djinn, Damien and the Adversus soldiers come to the rescue. Because Haley is the younger sister to two Adversus' soldiers, Damien and his buddies take the girls back to Adversus' headquarters for protection. As events unfold, Damien and Haley are drawn to each other like moths to a flame. But Damien remembers Haley, and knows the torture she endured at his uncle's hand, in Hell. Haley soon learns Damien has his own secrets and demons to deal with. Will their love endure all the secrets and demons they have to bear or will Damien's next mission destroy them both?

This is the first Savannah Hill book I have read and OMG!!! I could not put the book down. We meet Haley, 5 years after her escape from Hell, and she appears to a broken woman; happily going about her dull mundane life. You can't be feel sorry for her. How does a person, supernatural or not, survive the horrors she encountered? We then meet the Adversus soldiers and Damien who happens to be the son of Satan. As Haley encounters the women of Damien's past, you first label Damien as a womanizer who is only out to hurt Haley. But as the the story progresses you realize Damien has scars of his own and his own demons to put to rest. You realize Damien and Haley are exactly what each other needs and you can't help but root for them. As trust is built, the sex gets hotter. The story moves at a steady pace with enough detail to keep the reader intrigued without bogging the story down. I cannot wait for book #2 and #3. Definitely a author worth reading.

Witch Haley Hawthorne remembers Damian Pierce even through a bad hangover, marijuana and five years of memories. But does Lucifer's son, Damian, remember her from their fleeting glance at his uncle's pit so many years ago?

The question is answered absolutely when Damian saves Haley while on a group date and apologizes for not acting years ago. Haley's bothered by the confession but not surprised since Damian witnessed her humiliation and she's sure he doesn't want her anyway.

Haley's physical and emotional issues were realistic and understandable and the end of her development. Of course she had to be strong enough to last long enough to escape and then function afterwards but the how of it is still a mystery after the read is done. As the story progresses and the two grow closer, Damian's own scars begin to surface.

Damian as Lucifer's son was expected to pack quite a bit of power, although he had a particular issue. His power was in his penis. Great, if it's a straight erotica read. Nothing else is needed. Good sex is good sex and good kinky sex can work but methinks the lady doth brag too much to be believed and unfortunately this became boring and one note.

The premise of the Devil's son working 'on the side of the angels' intrigued. The possibility of what a former sex slave would do for revenge also intrigued. Expectations may have led to this reader's disappointment when neither piece satisfied. Though the tale attempted a strong paranormal side it read more erotica with paranormal elements due to the amount of sex scenes. (Incubi don't have as much sex.)

The wide variety of paranormal creatures alluded to with the introduction of Adversus. Djinn, demons, dragons, witches, etc were often mentioned but rarely seen or battled because of the sex scenes. The writing style also didn't satisfy. Poor sentence structure, poor scene transition and too many throw away characters made the read too busy which subtracted from this reader's enjoyment.

Exciting, dangerous, & addicting!
Where to begin? It's hard to form a coherent thought immediately after visiting this world. Words that instantly come to mind are paranormal, stunning, intense, suffocating, blissful, wicked, naughty, lustful, agony, sorrowful, indulgent, powerful, immense, desire... A kaleidoscope of emotion that demands your undivided attention.

The plot ...
Interesting, adventurous, & full of twists. We are literally taken to hell & back through the characters past & present. The more I read the more I wanted. You've got magic, witches, demons, & more.
It all began as a paranormal tale, but the further we get into the story the more it turned towards sex. Not necessarily a bad thing, the scenes flowed well & Hill's writing style kept my attention at all times. I am looking forward to a sequel for this one as we were left with some unanswered questions with plenty of directions they could continue on in.
*This is an adult read, not for the faint of heart. There are a few scenes that are very extreme & may not be for some including descriptive violence (ex: torture) & sex scenes including BDSM. In my opinion the violent memories of time spent in hell gave enough of a picture without going too far, but be aware they are there.*

The characters ...
A powerful group that refuses to be forgotten. Haley is sweet, loyal, & definitely underestimated. Damian an irresistible dark force, who happens to be the son of Lucifer, has chosen to fight with the good guys. Noah, Ginger, Aimee, & the gang make up a lighter side of this story enjoying day to day life with their friends & partying like no other. It's not all fun & games though, there is plenty of darkness working against them. But, the Adversus is on the hunt & no one is untouchable.

Definitely an exciting, dangerous, addicting read!

Hawt and Very Fast Paced Haley is a powerful witch, although she keeps her powers as muted as possible, as with the rest of her life. 5 years ago, she had been enslaved by Lucifer's brother. When her brother starts working with Lucifer's son Damian, one who betrayed his family to work for the greater good, she can't get him out of her head. Damian has his own issues. When he was younger, he was enslaved by a witch. Since then, his disdain for them makes him avoid them at all costs. The problem is, since seeing Haley, he can't get her out of his head either.

This was a great story. It had some pretty hot scenes in it and it moved really fast, especially for being almost 300 pages. There were some great characters built within the story beyond just the hero and heroine. I loved experiencing Damian's inexperience at any kind of relationship and trying to figure it out as he falls for Haley. While Haley is basically hiding out in the beginning of the story, so it's hard to see her inner strength. But as the story progresses, she really comes back into her own and her strength definitely give's Damian's a run for it's money.

There were just a few things that I didn't care for, but it didn't deter from the book at all. I can't wait to read more about Haley and Damian.  I highly recommend it to anyone that likes these genres.

☆ I received an arc in exchange for an honest review ☆

This is an amazing debut novel! I'm kind of picky when it comes to the paranormal books I read for a few reasons. The storyline usually isn't that great, I have a hard time picturing it in my head (I think better descriptions are needed for things like paranormal), and the characters are too unrealistic. None of that is the case with this book! I love how the story flowed and had just the right amount of flashbacks to Hayley's past. Savannah was very descriptive and kept my interest throughout the entire book.

Hayley is one of the Hawthorne witches. Their powers are stronger than most others. Unfortunately, her powers weren't enough to keep her safe one night in Seattle. She woke up to in Hell where she spent 3 horrendous, torturous months. She moves away and avoids relationships to protect herself. Her brothers are part of Adversus, soldiers who fight evil. It's through them that she meets Damian.

Damian is immortal. That's one perk of being the spawn of Satan. He is the weakest of his brothers. Witches shouldn't be able to control him, but one does. He and his brothers don't get along at all and he decides to become an Adversus soldier and become the good guy. Then he meets Hayley. She's a beautiful witch but he's terrified of what she could do to him.

I'm so excited for the next book! If you like hot erotic paranormal, this book has it all and I highly recommend it!

Paramour for the Devil by Savannah Hill
This is a paranormal read and has some triggers. Haley Hawthorne is a witch who has sworn off relationships, sex and anything to do with men after having a bad time when she was abducted and tortured by the devils brother she has stayed hidden and just got on with her work. Her brother and friends are all soldiers for Adversus who are basically the paranormal army. While Haley holds out in the castle working as an accountant for her Uncle Eli she thinks all is well until Damien comes to the castle doing research for a mission he needs to complete for Adversus. Damien is the son of the devil (literally) and as soon as he sees Haley he recognises her. He knows what happened to her but doesn’t let on to it. Hayley can read minds and is stunned to see Damiens thought but is determined that nothing will ever become of them despite her also wanting him. So the mission is called through by the adversus boss and Damien is distraught at who his target is. Read through as Haley and Damien struggle to battle through their emotions and finally give in to them but will it be a HEA?
This book has huge potential but I found the story line took an un-needed turn and became more about sex than the paranormal element. It felt rushed. The writing style is good and the characters are amazing. Slightly long winded considering the turn the book took.
I rate the story 4 stars.

I immensely enjoyed this paranormal erotic tale. Savannah Hill is a very promising new author! Her writing embodies the erotica genre! This book is H.O.T. I give it a solid 4.5 stars!!

Paramour for the Devil is an exciting, sexy story of finding love and overcoming evil. I hope this is a series because this is a very promising start! There are a few side storylines that didn't get conclusions, but didn't necessarily need them either. Haley and Damian are a great part of what could become a huge picture. Hill has a superb writing style and brings her story to life. Her character building is amazing! I want to know so much more about the other characters now. She gives all of her characters life and personality. The one thing I didn't like in the whole book was Haley's whiney moments. I wanted to see her as this submissive yet strong character, but I just didn't get that from her passive attitude and constant whining. A submissive woman doesn't have to let people run over her or run scared all the time. Besides those moments, I LOVED this book!

Keep Writing

This is a Paranormal Erotica with dark elements and mild bdsm at times. There is a lot of sex, a lot of good sex. If you do not like to read about good sex, do not read. If you do, you may find this book to be a one handed wonder.

This book is dark, erotic and entertaining!

Haley Hawthorne is a witch and from a powerful family but that didn't stop her from being kidnapped by Lucifer's brother Raden, and then branded by him. Yet Haley was able to escape from him, yet the threat of someone grabbing her again remains high.

Damian Pierce is the son of Lucifer, but has chosen his own path and that is to work for Adversus. Adversus works against Lucifer and are the "good" guys. When Damian was young he saw what was done to Haley and remains committed to protecting her.

Damian and Haley are very attracted to each other but Haley has not let many get close to her after being kidnapped. She remains very guarded but something is breaking down her defenses with Damian, and both are able to read the other's thoughts, which can get them into trouble at times. Damian and Haley begin to embark on a relationship together but they remain in danger, and the threat is closer to them than they thought.

I loved this book and really enjoyed all of the different relationships between all the characters. Both Damian and Haley have gone through extremely bad relationships and are working their way through their issues, but they both really want each other. There is definitely a lot of suspense in the book to keep you from putting it down!

This was different from any other paranormal book I've ever read. There are lots of characters and action in the beginning of the book. Haley Hawthorne is a witch who was kidnapped and held as a sex slave in hell for a few months until she made a daring escape. Damian is the son of Lucifer, he has renounced his rights to the throne of Hell and fights for the good guys. Haley has many physical and mental scars from her time in captivity. She has sworn off magic and sex. Damian has is own scars and demons to face also. These two are the least likely to be paired but the attraction is hard to fight. Of course there are many obsticals in thier way. She's a witch and witches are his weakness (he has no powers against them). He's the nephew of the demon that held Haley captive and he's now been tasked with killing her beloved uncle. Can these two fight thier obsticals? So they can heal each other or are they doomed before they even begin? The passion these two have together is explosive and they have the potential to be epic together but many things stand in thier way. Savanah Hill does a great job of weaving the story with lots of action, passion, suspense, which keeps the reader entertained.

Paramour for the Devil (The Hawthorne Witches Bk1) Savannah Hill 4.5 Stars

This is a really great read with lots of unexpected twists and turns and some super hot steamy chemistry! I did find initially this one took me a while to understand exactly who was who.

Haley is a witch, she is much much stronger than she realises. She now keeps herself to herself after being kidnapped and tortured in 'hell'. Damien is the youngest son to Lucifer, he is also the one destined for the throne. However, that's not how he sees it, he has become a soldier on earth hunting and fighting evil. When Damien and Haley come together their chemistry is electric and although Haley tries to fight it she really can't. Can Damien keep her safe ?

This is a unique and interesting story, with a great romance and adventure thrown in. I was completely transported into their unusual world. I loved how Haley slowly came out of her shell after her tortured past. A really great read which I highly recommend if your into paranormal and looking for that something different. I'm eagerly awaiting reading more in this series.

Damian and Haley have both experienced their own personal hells and it should be enough to keep them apart. The attraction is so strong that even those painful pasts can't stop them from wanting to be together. Haley was made a slave to his uncle and bears the scars. Damien had his own bad experience with a witch and usually avoids them. He made a decision years ago to destroy evil and now works with her brothers to take out those that harm others.

I loved the chemistry between them. There was a sweetness to their romance too. The fact that they can hear each others' thoughts and see their pasts makes them both uncomfortable yet also very connected. There are other romances going on as well and some fun, friendly interactions that lighten the story about the abuse they suffered. The BDSM elements are not violent and are part of a loving relationship.

I received a copy in return for a honest review.

Paramour for the Devil, the Hawthorne Witches Book 1 by Savannah Hill
Extraordinary first novel soon to be a Best Seller!

OMG!!! I just finished Paramour for the Devil. This is one of the very best books I have ever read. Ms. Hill has written an extraordinary first book. Paramour for the Devil will soon be a Best Seller. I enjoyed reading it so much. The story revolves around Hayley Hawthorne, Witch and Damion, Son of the Devil. The action and the story flows from the very beginning gaining speed reaching a climax that left me to catch my breath. You have an incredible talent for description, character development and giving the reader a place next to the character with whom they most identify. I can’t wait for Book 2 in Hawthorne Witches series. FIVE Stars doesn't seem to be enough. This book will melt you into a puddle on your chair, which means it is definitely meant for 18+

Witches, Satan and kidnapping oh my! Paramour For the Devil was much more than I expected. It grabbed my attention immediately and didn't let up throughout the entire book. Damian is sexy, brooding, strong and so damn love able and Haley is his sweet and beautiful equal. I fell completely into the story and couldn't, nor did I want to, get out of it. If life hadn't needed tending to, I'd have read this in one sitting. Haley and Damian's backstory was a fantastic lead off to their strange and deep connection, I longed for them to find their way to each other and the fantasy aspect of witches, satan, his spawn and the fight of good versus evil, never overpowered the story. I loved the fast pace and intricate detail and the sex.... Wholly Hell !!! Savannah Hill writes sexy, steamy, ooey yummy sex scenes. You're left weak from the intensity of Damian's fierce lust and equally fierce affection for Haley. I can not wait to read more from Savannah Hill and this series, I'm hooked.
