4.25-4.5 RATING- A better than average MMF menage that was smoking hot and at times, intense. I'm super picky about the menage reads I like and this one definitely left me impressed. There were some similarities between Ford and Christian (from FSOG) but the writing was much better and the dynamics much more complex in Come When Called. The addition of Charley really added so much to the story, I loved his character. The suspense part of the story seemed a bit weak to me but the overall story was strong. Even though I don't love damaged or withdrawn hero's, this book still rates as probably one of the best MMF menage romances I've read, right up there with Erica's Choice, Breaking Perfect or Billionaire Bad Boys Club.

I loved the story, the sex was so hot and Ford was a caveman, but I still fund him hot. And Charley was sweet.
The only thing I was having a hard time with was the waiting. I was about to give up several times. I hated in the beginning when Ford and Evie talked. Ford would say one thing, and the conversation continued after spending 4-5 pages on describing what Evie thought and felt. And that was very tiredsome, as it was the same things Evie though and felt throughout the book. Luckily somewhere along the middle of the book it somehow changed and you didn't have to read 30 pages to find out what happens in a 2 pages conversation.
With that said, I still loved the story and was glad that I read the book. I would have likes to see more of Fords dark side, and him dominating Evie more.

Better than 50 Shades
This book was so on point with everything. This is my new favorite book by far. I love a good romance with a little filth and this lived up to the reviews I read. Now if I can find another book that can follow this one in keeping me captivated from beginning to end I will be one happy girl. *** if you are shy about a little kink, this is not the book for you!!!***

This was a kinky, hot, sexy, sweet story! Ford was ok, I have mixed feelings for Evie but it was Charlie who stole the show for me!

This book was a solid 3 stars for me. I loved Charley, Ford was okay. There weren't any unexpected twists and there was more sexcapades than actual story, but I did enjoy the book.

I enjoy reading BDSM and Menage storylines. Usually, you’ll find the dominant with 2 subs. It was clear, from the start that Ford was going to be dominant but, unfortunately, I was a little confused with Come When Called and wouldn’t call it true BDSM but a fantasy come to life.
I would call Ford a spoiled brat that got what he wanted, when he wanted, how he wanted and from who he wanted with no heart. Evie wanted to be independent and make her own way but Ford made her an offer that she thought would keep her safe and make the money she needs to give her the total independence that she craves. Charley was my favorite. He came off as aloof and jealous and turned out to be the catalyst that brought everyone together. The sex, when all three were together, was scorching but, alone, it was for Ford’s pleasure and turn-ons.
The storyline had a lot of wonderful possibilities but fell a little short, for me. I am not saying that it wasn’t an enjoyable story but it actually left me wanting in several areas. First and foremost was the BDSM aspect. It seemed to be more of a Catch-22 … there was no negotiating for the sex or punishment … when he wanted, how he wanted, with who he wanted and, if she didn’t do as told, she would be punished. That is, in no way, BDSM. Second was his treatment of both Evie and Charley knowing, deep down, how both of them felt about him. Third was Evie’s ex-boyfriend and his role in the story. I felt like he was thrown in for shock purposes and had no real reason to be showing up when he did. Granted, he was the reason she was insecure in her life but he could have been taken care of early in the storyline. The things he did just didn’t fit in with the story and felt that he showed up when he did as an afterthought.
I would definitely give Piper Trace another read though. I enjoyed her writing and she had some nice ideas that could have really made this story pop if carried through.

It's hard to write a review for a book that you enjoyed with the exception of a very crucial part of the book. First off let me just say that I no longer read a lot of books that deal with D/s relationships so when I started reading this book and realized that this was kind of a part of this book, I asked a fellow reviewer who does read a lot of those books to read it as well and review it too so as to give the author a fair chance. I liked the characters in this book and I liked them together and I have nothing against the BDSM lifestyle, not at all, not even a little bit, I just find it difficult to read because I am very picky about how it is portrayed in books.
Ford Hawthorne is a wealthy, well respected businessman who is use to getting what he wants and what he wants is Evie, the paralegal that works in the law office who handles his business. After a late night meeting Evie is fired and Ford makes her an offer she can't and doesn't want to refuse. His offer is a bit muddled in that he basically wants Evie at his beck and call for one year and that includes physically for him and his friend Charley. He assures her he's not paying her for sex and that it is just "business" but I'll be honest this just seemed a bit skeevy to me, but it was his way of making sure she knew there would be no emotions attached.
I liked Evie and Charley a lot; they were fun and entertaining characters. Ford was harder to wrap my brain around but I didn't hate him, in all honestly I felt a bit sorry for him and the solitary life he led. There was no doubting the intensity and heat between these three and as Ford and Charley explore the attraction between them things get even more interesting. What I had the most issue with the D/s scenes because it was easy to tell that Ford wasn't completely comfortable in exerting his dominance and while that is explained, I found these scenes hard to believe and problematic on several levels. The thing is had this not been a part of this book, I would have enjoyed this story a whole lot more or had Ford even dealt with his issues and then the play was introduced I would have found it easier to read and enjoy.
While I had some issues with this book, I enjoyed the characters quite a bit, it was fun and interesting watching these three figure out a way to be together and to be honest I'd enjoy seeing them again a few years down the line to see how everything is working out for them.

Given a ARC for a honest review
Do you know Piper Trace? Well you should! Come When Called was a engaging and tantalizing read that left me blushing. It was one of the best erotica books I've read so far this year. A few lines from this book killed me, rendered me speechless and may have brought a new fantasy to light. The love scenes are deliciously choreographed with mind blowing encounters from the characters. Those scenes were so engaging that you felt as if you were right there exploring your sexuality right along side with the characters. But the story was more than just sex. It also had themes of love, anguish, and heartbreak. You could feel the emotions pouring off the characters so much that sometimes I wanted to throw my kindle. The story start off with a little bit of a forbidden romance between Ford and Evie. The initial heat between them leaves you wanting more and literally keeps you from putting the book down. It goes from zero to sixty with a bang. Ford is a smart, sexy, and dominant billionaire that is used to getting what he wants. From the beginning he wants Evie and is prepared to see that through. Evie is caught up in her initial lust for him and can't seem to step out of her comfort zone. Further into the book a deal is struck that should give everyone want they want. Then enters Charley, Ford's best friend. The meeting between Charley and Evie isn't a positive one at first. Charley doesn't want to share Ford and is skeptical of anyone new. Charley is the complete opposite of Ford. He is loving, funny, and free with his feelings. Can this love story come together with everyone's hearts intact? Or are they doomed? My first impression was that this was going to be one hot book. I was not disappointed!
It starts out like any normal book; girl meets guy, guy is attracted to girl, girl gives guy blow job, girl gets fired from job, boy hires girl to become his personal assistant. However, this is not a normal book. This book is nothing short of good and the sex scenes were steamy. After the scene in the law library, I knew I had to have more! I had to know about Ford, and his mysterious life. In a way, he reminds me of Christian Grey, but I think now that the book is out, every lonely billionaire resembles him in some form or another.
The steamy scenes between the three of them is just what Ford needs and craves underneath his tough exterior. The story unfolds seamlessly and beautifully, and left you feeling satisfied. With just a pinch of happily ever after.

It starts out like any normal book; girl meets guy, guy is attracted to girl, girl gives guy blow job, girl gets fired from job, boy hires girl to become his personal assistant. However, this is not a normal book. This book is nothing short of good and the sex scenes were steamy. After the scene in the law library, I knew I had to have more! I had to know about Ford, and his mysterious life. In a way, he reminds me of Christian Grey, but I think now that the book is out, every lonely billionaire resembles him in some form or another.
The steamy scenes between the three of them is just what Ford needs and craves underneath his tough exterior. The story unfolds seamlessly and beautifully, and left you feeling satisfied. With just a pinch of happily ever after.

FIVE STARS! HOLY HELL!!! IF I COULD GIVE MORE STARS I WOULD. STEAMY SEX SCENES THAT WOULD MAKE ANY NUNS TOES CURL. DOMINANT ALPHA, SUBMISSIVE FEMALE AND A THIRD ELEMENT TO ADD TO THE SPICE. This was a not so fun MMF ménage read and some parts definitely turned me off.
I didn't like the disparity of BDSM attitudes shown throughout towards different characters. For example, Ford expected Evie to be a complete submissive yet saw Charley as more on an equal level. This resulted in some scenes appearing uneven and also left a sour misogynistic taste during some scenes.
The crux of the ménage seems to be that Ford (a poor Christian Grey-copy, which in of itself is saying something! *eye roll*) is an emotionally stunted emotional abuser who likes his best friend Charley, but can't be in a relationship with him as Ford also requires a female submissive to fulfil 'dark urges' inside him to punish women. Yeah it's that kind of book *another eye roll*.
I also did not like the scene near the end where Evie was used only for Ford's gratification as he was 'so angry and trying to prove that he is so bad that he is not worthy of love'. This resulted in a scene that was too non-consent for my tastes (especially when the heroine is crying and effectively 'thinking of England').
Overall, this book wasn't for me.

Yes it's horny. The sex scenes are amazing....BUT without the character development this book could have fallen flat. Reading the blurb at the end. I found out this is the first book written by this author. Well as a wow factor I found this by chance on kindle unlimited but I am off to purchase a copy right now. And I never do that out with my normal reading genre. Absolutely fantastic. Please read and enjoy.

Wow! I stumbled across this box set and boy am I glad I did. It is truly a toss up who is hotter Ford or Charley and when you drop Evie in between them, things really get hot.

I love a good poly story, I truly do, but it has to feel realistic. Come When Called did this for me.
Evie has never had anyone truly care for her, and the one man she thought that did, turned out to be a blackmailing asshole. Fired from her job and nowhere to go, she ends up 'working' for Ford Hawthorne, the reason she was fired.
Ford has possessions; he collects pretty things, and Evie just became one of his possessions. He added her to the same shelf as he had Charley, his best friend, really his only friend.
Charley and Evie have a special bond; Ford both likes and hates that. They both love him, but he distances himself from both...he has to so he can't be hurt. Actually, he does all of the hurting until Evie's past comes and threatens to take it all away.

I met Piper Trace a few weeks back at the Queen of the West Book Bash in Kentucky. The cover of the book caught my attention, but after talking to Piper about this book I knew I had to read it.
Ford loves to be in control and doesn’t take no for an answer. When he has an after-hours encounter with Evie, he know he needs more of her. Charley is Ford’s best—and only—friend. Ford wants to share Evie with him.

I am not sure if I am still alive - I think I held my breath easily from page1. I am a book-whore plain and simple. It's my drug of choice and this was probably the most potent read I have had.
The characters are superbly balanced - strong sassy Evie, desperate to feel safe within a relationship, the small acts of intimacy relishing in her mind, a soft brush of lips, a hand held, a hug given. Charley reminds me of a big lumbering overgrown puppy, happy to give you anything for a smile or a tummy (or lower) tickle. Ford damaged by wealth and lack of experience with true affection except with his best friend - their bromance is his only relationship. Ford is an asshole, selfish, emotionally inhibited. He made me smile when he let his facade slip physically demonstrated his feelings, then I was angry with him for denying his heart and running scared. The interaction between this trio is so fluid, so twisted and so very powerful. I cannot believe that this is PIper's first book, it's written with an intrinsic understanding for the readers experience and a bone deep knowledge of each character that is transported onto the page for the reader to jump into and act as a voyeur, a passenger through the book. It's pacy, erotic, exciting and Completely consuming - perhaps it should come with a label because it's so hard to put the story down yet you only want to read it when you can give it the full attention the writing demands. If this is the type of story that Piper writes I cannot wait to read the forty projects currently being worked on. Great read for those who believe that sex and love can be shared without deference to gender.

Hmmm. I don't know where to start with this one. This was not good. Ford was abusive. He was not a very good dominant at all. He didn't care about her feelings at all especially that one scene at the end. I don't know how she could have forgiven him for that. It was just bad. This guy was almost 40 years old and you mean to tell him that he never explored what he liked before then? I just don't see that being the case. And she wasn't even a submissive and didn't even know about the world and yet he pushed her into it. And he was so wishy washy about his feelings that it got to be too annoying. He called her love from the very beginning! What did he expect her to do when he was all like you can't fall in love with me cause I can't love. Gah nobody can be that clueless and/or ignorant of his feelings.
I did like Charley even though he was a pushover. Him and Evie had some cute scenes together.
What really bothered me was it seemed like it was a couple of days this all happened in. At the end, it said she wasn't there a month yet. So maybe it was longer but it wasn't portrayed that way. And also, she was hired as an assistant and at one point she said she was 50/50 assistant and sex slave, but then she was like no more like 20/80. But she didn't do any work at all. Nothing. She had sex and took baths and slept.
Also, the sex wasn't that great because they didn't connect with all three of them. It was like two people and then an extra. It was never really about all three even in the scenes where they were all together. It was either ford and charley or ford and evie. The triad was unbalanced for it to be a successful relationship in my opinion.

The book is redundant. The same scene is repeated over and over and the only differences are: the location, the sexual act (oral, vaginal, anal), and if it's between two or three of them. I'm BORED. Ford has intimacy and control issues. Evie is a loser with many emotional and personal issues. She also depends on others to fix her problems. Charlie is the sensitive bad boy who's in love with his best friend. Evie wants a more personal relationship with Ford. Just kidding, no she doesn't. No wait...now she does. Ford says one thing but gives off "affectionate and loving" vibes and looks at her as if she's the most important woman on earth. No wait, now he's cruel with hard eyes. Back to loving and affectionate gestures. Charlie is still in love with his best friend. Ford is back to being an unemotional asshole.
I'm ANNOYED. Stop with the fillers and just write the damn story. It could have been half the length without all of the pointless bullshit.

Ok ladies, here's the question... You're life is in danger from a threatening blackmailer. You are getting violent graphic pictures of what the blackmailer will do to you if you don't pay up. Would you be able to forget it all minutes later so that you can get turned on and have sexy times?
Now let's add that you're living with a billionaire who offers to pay the paltry (to him) 13 grand. Now let's add that you could just get an advance on your salary to pay off the blackmailer. Sigh! It just equals that the heroine is to stupid to live.
Apart from that, I don't need to get constantly bombarded with the hero telling the heroine that he doesn't want a romantic relationship. I got it loud and clear the first dozen times he told her. I actually started to think Ford was a huge creep and Charley and Evie should run away and just be together.
