Pastor Robert Morris encourages readers to keep praying.
Many people give up praying because they don't see results and feel discouraged or angry that their prayers haven't been heard. But Robert Morris reveals why it is so important not to stop--to never give up. This book provides hope and evidence for readers that God does hear their prayers, cares about them personally, and intervenes in their lives in ways beyond their imaginations.
Bestselling author Robert Morris brings encouragement and compelling biblical teaching on the topic of prayer. Reverend Morris is the senior pastor at Gateway Church, which has a congregation of more than 36,000 people.

Its a book I will re-read and re-read as long as possible. So inspirational when you feel like you should give up because possibly God has no interest or cares about your petitions, prayers or requests. It's not true. He does care and we have to be faithful to pray every single day of our lives no matter how long it takes for God's timing.
So grateful I found this book with my sister at Barnes & Nobles.
It may seem like God isn't answering your prayers but...are you really praying how you should be? As I read it I thought to myself, praying for someone or something once and moving on isn't going to get it done. That's not how it works. So maybe the problem isn't that God isn't answering...it's that we're taking the wrong route.
This book is a great read. Wonderful insight into prayer. I will keep this book to read and just look back on for encouragement. I received such a blessing from it.
Granted, I am probably a little biased because any book that I am reading as a part of my devotional time I'm literally praying for - for guidance on which book is going to speak to me the most appropriately in the season that I find myself in.
Well, this book was a literal answer to those prayers. I first started to enjoy Robert Morris' writing while reading his book on the Holy Spirit. This one, on prayer, did not disappoint at all. This book seeks to answer the question of "why keep praying." I know that I myself have gotten discouraged in the waiting - in the pursuance while there are no responses or no breakthroughs. This short and concise book is a perfect remedy for when you find yourself frustrated and in that season. Many things that I have learned and read in this book I will take with me into my own prayer practices and devotional time.
A short but powerful book on why we should pray. It can be read as a book or as a daily devotional. This book inspired me to remain steadfast. The Scriptures encouraged me. The stories of the praying wife and how Pastor Morris' father came to Christ gave me a new resolve to stay persistent, to keep a prayer list and trust in the faithfulness of God.
If you are struggling to pray because "why bother?" this will be an excellent book for you to read. Robert explains the why of repeatedly asking God for the same thing over and over. I love reading books by Robert Morris because he always shares such great stories. He shared some of the stories I have heard before when he's been speaking at our church, but they are great stories, and it's just as encouraging to hear them a second time. "Why Pray " is a quick read and worth the time you'll take to read it.
I found this writing on prayer so uplifting. It really confirmed my belief that prayer should be an active part of my life at all times. I truly enjoyed this book.
This is the second book I've read by Robert Morris, and both have truly enriched my life. But just as this book was getting good, it was over. Wish it could've been a little longer.
A very powerful book on prayer, with Biblical stories, as well as current stories. Robert Morris is a gifted pastor and writer. He has a way of making things clear and bringing amazing insight. This book is no exception. I highly recommend it if you want to improve your prayer life.
I came across this at a time when I was feeling discouraged and forgotten by God. This book encouraged me to continue praying until I received an answer to my prayer which was a year and a half later. I enjoyed the prayer section at the end of the book and found it to be helpful.
This book is so good for revealing the nature of daily prayer in our lives. Filling the prayer bowls is such a good mantra to live by. Thank you Ps Robert
This is a great bedside companion book. Encouragement for the end table or coffee table as there are pretty pictures to walk you through the journey of prayer.
This book gave me deeper insight into the process of prayer and helped me to look at it from God's point of view. Want to be closer to God? Keep Praying.
