I don't usually list in GoodReads the picture books we read (that would be simply overwhelming . . . although I do have a database in which I keep track of every book we read . . . crazy, I know). However, I'm making an exception because we have listened to this audio collection of the Frances books SO MANY times that it FEELS as though it's a 300-page book. Surprisingly, though, I find they are so well written and so delightful that I rarely get bored and I enjoy them almost as much as the kids do. If you can find this particular audio version, read by Glynis Johns (the mother from Mary Poppins), you will not be disappointed. It is one of the best readings I have ever heard of any book on audio tape.
Reliving some wonderful childhood memories. My mother used to read me Frances books when I was very tiny. I loved them❤️. I loved them this time around too.
I think I may have enjoyed this collection more than my kids. The narrator did a wonderful job, and the stories are quite similar to events I've gone through with my kids. Was surprised it was a collection because it was so short, but enjoy listening to them several times!
We listened to these on CD and it was excellent, love the narrator. These felt old fashioned in a good way. We especially enjoyed all of Frances' songs.
Wow, came across this for my 5-year-old daughter, and just had to get it. Reminded me of my childhood. And it's still an incredible book. Very sweet and wonderful. Get it!
