Set in 1873, Diana is captured by Silver Fox. Forced into a different culture, and irresistibly drawn to her captor, Dianna is torn between hope of rescue, or falling in love with a mystic Sioux warrior.
It was a pleasure to finally read a story with substance! Jeanie took the time to thoroughly research the Indian culture and create a beautiful love story. She also held me captivated with her descriptions of their cultural techniques that weren't written overly detailed but provided just enough information that I fully understood and admired the process she was trying to describe to me. And with every detail she included in her story, I developed a deeper love for the Indian culture.
This book shocked me. I was not expecting such a well researched and deep story. It is beautifully written, and masterfully portrays the Native culture.
I'm giving up on this book at 10%. I should have downloaded the sample before I borrowed it. The writing style is really mediocre and I just do not want to waste my time. It's a lot of telling and not enough showing. The book also needs an editor. I just couldn't get into it.
Blah. It's so similar to a much better written version by another author based on the real life of Pioneer woman. I ca not remember the title right now but it is vastly better. Also, M. B. Tosi's Crimson Path of Honor is better.
