This is a 3 story anthology by Ellora's Cave. It is about the 3 Winter Brothers and the women they love and fight for. I wish I could give it 3.5 stars,(there was one story I didn't like much) but decided to round it up to 4 since I can't.

Winter's Rose by Ruby Storm

This was my least favorite story out of the book. I just never connected with the characters. I liked the hero... he was sexy and strong, but I didn't care for the heroine much. Sometimes a woman can be too stubborn, so admittedly I didn't finish this story, it just never kept my interest.

A Devil in Winter by Diana Hunter

Kevin Winter thinks he is infatuated with his ex-girlfriend Pam. She thinks he is too demanding inside and outside of the bedroom. Since she wants a weaker man, she breaks up with Kevin not too long before Christmas. Troubled, Kevin goes to her house to try to persuade her to take him back and in the process of looking inside Pam's window, gets caught be Pam's younger sister Anna.
Anna has always had a thing for Kevin. His sexy smile and dominate ways really attract her to him. When she catches him looking into her sisters window, she teasingly threatens him by telling him she is going to call the police. In a panic, he ties her up and kidnaps her. Only to find out that what he was looking for, was right in front of him the whole time.

One Naughty Winer Night by Ruth D Kerce

Kyle Winter has been in love with his best friend Kayla forever. Not knowing her true feelings for her, he decides to take a chance and tell/show her his love for her.

I really liked the brothers in this anthology. There is some light BDSM in this book, but nothing over the top. All of the women seem to have been surpressing this submissive side they would like to act out in the bedroom, and the brothers are more than happy to dominate them.

4 stars, 2 stars and 1 star for 3 contemporary romance stories.

4 stars for A DEVIL IN WINTER by Diana Hunter.

Story Brief:
Kevin was dumped by his gorgeous girlfriend Pam. Still hurting, he is trying to get closure by trying to call and visit. She refuses him. Her sister Anna sees Kevin outside Pam's home and threatens to call the cops. He kidnaps Anna and ties her up temporarily until he can explain his innocence to Anna. Anna has always desired him, but Kevin never really saw her before because of his relationship with Pam.

Reviewer's Opinion:
Definitely good. Very enjoyable. Annie is a fun character. I was chuckling a few times. There is light bondage and flogging. The story is good, but I wish I could have seen more details and conversations of the evening where Anna first brings Kevin to dinner in front of Pam. The evening was told rather than shown. There was a lot of potential for witty and entertaining writing in this scene.

Data:
Story length: 85 pages. Sexual language: strong/erotic. Number of sex scenes: 5. Length of sex scenes: 1.5 to 11.5 pages. Total number of sex scene pages: 25. Setting: current day upstate New York. Copyright: 2006. Genre: erotic contemporary romance.

2 stars for ONE NAUGHTY WINTER NIGHT by Ruth D. Kerce.

Story Brief:
Kayla and Kyle have been good friends for 10 years. She has been in love with Kyle the entire time but didn't want to lose him as a friend so she hid her feelings. Kyle has been in love with her but never admitted it to himself, and he also hid his feelings. He was afraid of being rejected. All of a sudden, he is ready to admit his feelings and kisses her under the mistletoe.

Reviewer's Opinion:
There wasn't much story. I don't know why all of a sudden they change their actions with each other after 10 years. In general it was ok, but I prefer more plot. Once they kiss, the rest of the story is pretty much one long sex scene which was pretty good. One of my pet peeves is conflict based on vague communication and inaccurate assumptions. The 10 year conflict was based on this, which is not a winning formula for me.

Data:
Story length: 77 pages. Sexual language: strong/erotic with rear door activity. Number of sex scenes: 2. Length of sex scenes: 3 and 25 pages. Setting: current day U.S. Copyright: 2006. Genre: erotic contemporary romance.

1 star for WINTER'S ROSE by Ruby Storm.

Story Brief:
Kody's family were wealthy ranchers in Texas. Rose worked on the ranch as a teenager. She and Kody fell in love. Then Kody enlisted in the Navy and left for 6 years. Rose felt like she had been used as a plaything and abandoned. She is still mad at him 6 years later when he returns to town. He wants to rekindle their relationship.

Reviewer's Opinion:
The entire story was based on inaccurate assumptions, with Rose lying and keeping a secret. I didn't enjoy that kind of conflict. The story did not feel good. On the positive side, the sex scenes were good, hot and sensual.

Data:
Story length: 97 pages. Sexual language: strong/erotic. Number of sex scenes: 4. Length of sex scenes 1 to 11 pages. Total number of sex scene pages: 16. Setting: current day Texas. Copyright: 2006. Genre: erotic contemporary romance.

Other Books:
To date, I've read one other story by Ruby Storm. I gave 1 star to "Diamond in the Rough" Copyright 2005, which appears in the anthology "Diamond Studs." My 4 star review for the anthology was posted on 12/17/08.

Three stories of brothers. One wants to let his best friend know he loves her. One starts a relationship with the sister of an ex-girlfriend. One goes back to find a love he left behind. The best story was the last one about Kody and his reclaiming his long ago love. The other stories were okay.
