Jokes by Lulu come because Lulu has a special way of looking at the world. She also encourages you to visit Instagram.com/AngelandMagic, her favorite kitties. Editor’s note In French there is an expression..... “Every evening, the sun goes down and then night falls.” “La nuit tombe.” awwwwww ... “Did the night hurt itself?” was the first thing that I wondered when I first learned the phrase. I laughed out loud when I read la nuit tombe. It killed me that the night falls in French (as in English). It wasn't funny to me in English, but somehow the expression made me laugh. I was 14 when I read that expression. I started looking for more funny expressions while I was learning my second language. Perhaps this is what inspires Luiza when she laughs at her creations and makes her “observations.” The home where Luiza lives is a birthplace of puns and wordplay. Here are two of the jokes that she heard in 2014: Why was the king in the castle moat? Because he was thrown there (throne) How did the surfer say goodbye? He just waved. ha ha ha! The double meaning of many words in English makes it possible for observant people to find something to laugh about. I admit that some of these jokes or wordplay are not funny to me, but look at what Luiza does.... she's playing with the language. Lulu is thinking up more jokes. I look forward to the next edition.
