Very good book. I particularly enjoyed and felt that the last couple of chapters were very impactful. They felt like exactly what I needed to hear. Some of the middle chapters felt like good information but not always applicable to me. However, there are still good lessons to be learned from them.
I wasn’t sure I was going to get much for I’m this book but it has reinforced the importance of systems, processes and outsourcing to focus on the most important strategic and long term value creating work. It’s a little generic and could apply to any business but there are a few Real Estate specific examples. It’s assumes a specific type of real estate business which may be common in the US and is a little different to the model I’m following in the UK. The buy, refurbished rent and refinance model. We use sourcers and project managers so don’t locate the properties ourself looking for motivated sellers.
A good job explaining which positions to hire for in order to free time running your real estate business. It had a few websites and tools to look into that I was glad to take some notes on. Lastly, the book explained personality traits so you can learn how to deal and negotiate with different people.
This book is about how to create systems in a real estate investment business. The idea is to master a task and write down each step so that it's easy to train someone to do it and in turn for that person to train another person. Having a plan, system, automation, etc. is what frees up entreprenuers to bring other people on their team and save time by outsourcing tasks.
This book summarizes all the things you need to do in order to start a real estate business. You still need to do a lot of research and work to be successful. This is just a nice overview
This book was promoting more systems and processes which seems to be a consistent theme in most of these real-estate self-help books. I enjoyed hearing of their success. It was OK.
What a fantastic read. Not only does this book give extraordinary and practical guide to managing an efficient company, but it dives into the personal development mindset that is necessary to reach success. I will definitely be re-reading this book in the future.
Ideas can be applied anywhere so I think it was very valuable overall. I just wasn’t aware it was focused on a flipping real estate company vs traditional cash flowing long term rental real estate.
