Mark: The Humanity of Christ

Rate this book
The Gospel of Mark, more than any other Gospel, gives us precious glimpses into Christ's humanity. Pastor John MacArthur will take you through the book of Mark, passage by passage, so that you can better understand Mark's unique perspective and the astounding humanity of Christ. Jesus amazes His followers—those in the past as well as His disciples today—as He teaches, heals, performs miracles, casts out demons, and raises the dead. Good, but not deep enough. This gets conversation started, but it just doesn’t go to great lengths. It’s a good beginner, but the chapters shove multiple Bible chapters together. I’ve heard MacArthur preach though and I know he can do much more.

Again, great commentary in addition to the Biblical text. I did feel that compared to Matthew's commentary, Mark's was not as thorough.
