i really liked the short storys in this book that are used as examples of actions taken by people and their out comes. i wish their could have been more of them. i also like the rituals that are included in this book and the meditations along with the test that are given , so you can see where you stand.the one thing i love however is the simple recipes given for the oils. their are also instructions on how to make and use a black mirror. this book was well put together and great for adding to a collection of wicca/occult/new age books.
Timothy is a gifted author and this gem only serves to deepen my respect. Shadow work is frequently misunderstood and, therefore, often not properly engaged. Mr. Roderick seamlessly blends Wiccan spirituality withJungian thought to build a comprehensive guide for this important component of self-understanding and improvement.
Mr. Roderick provides a variety of meditations and activities to engage the conscious and subconscious in a manner I have not seen in other books on the subject. This is by far one of the top books on the subject of shadow work and would be a valuable tool for Magickal and Muggle alike.
If you want to work with the new/dark moon, this is an excellent resource to help you do that work. I used the various exercises in this book to help me do some deep shadow work as well as doing some releasing around various matters in my life. I highly recommend this book.
Very informative in an engaging way. The stories that fit the theme of a lesson or spell really helped drive the points across and made it more entertaining.
