As a child, I always enjoyed The Wind in the Willows and all the animal stories by Beatrix Potter, Brian Jacques and Richard Scarry. Young readers that enjoyed these books will love this story as well!

This crafty book features a mouse called Pip Squeak and his two friends going on an adventure which takes them into an unexpected encounter with some thieves at a carnival.

The book contains some words that might be unfamiliar to American readers: at the carnival the characters refer to the carrousel as a "roundabout" and the bumper cars as "dodgems" and a telephone booth as a "phone box" which will provide kids a wonderful opportunity to expand their vocabulary. The illustrations have wonderful details and color as well.

An empowering and funny story of friendship and teamwork.
