This book was basically a rundown of what to expect with twins through the various phases of childhood. It was written by twin parents, and based on surveys done by hundreds of other twin parents. I appreciated that it doesn’t just stop with the newborn phase like so many other twin books do. It also talks about transitioning to school and potty training. I will definitely refer back to this one over the years.

This is definitely the best twin book I have read so far. I wanted to give it 5 stars but the chapter on potty training just ruined it for me. I disagreed with many of their points. Specifically it mentioned letting the twin who is not yet potty training wear underwear over their diapers to let them feel like a big kid. The people I used to nanny for let their 3.5 year old do this and after a week or two, the novelty of wearing underwear wore off and he had no interest in wearing them anymore. It completely set him back. It also says that you should keep a portable potty in the car to use on outings so as to not be running in and out of stores for potty breaks. They pose the question "what do you do if one twin is on the potty and the other has to go and can't hold it". They said "embrace the great outdoors." Definitely not something I'd want to be teaching my 3 year old to do. Completely disgusting. I also felt that they portrayed the use of cloth diapers in a really poor light. They were trying to show off money saving tips, yet cloth diapers only got a quick sentence or two about how they might not be more earth friendly. However, it is clearly obvious that you save a TON of money by using cloth.

Other than these issues, it was a really great book.

Good, and it covers all stages of life with multiples. That made it a little less useful (I'm hoping by the time they're in elementary school I won't need as much guidance. But the writing was upbeat and most of their ideas made sense. Also, the authors and many in their panel work outside the home, so while they did discuss help, I didn't feel their suggestions were as penny-wise as some others I've read.

Great book. I really enjoyed that it was by moms of multiples and wasn't solely from a medical perspective (although it's good to read some of those too.) I also appreciated that the book dealt with issues concerning older infants/ toddlers. Up to now all the twin books I've read have only shed light onto the newborn phase and what to expect. Well done ladies!

This was the best twin book i read. It has a lot of stupid fluffy graphics on some of the pages that make it seem a bit amateur-ish, but it had some good content. I would say if you're about to have more than one, grab this book. It's quick and has some good stuff for during and after pregnancy.

This was a pretty good book. I liked the format and it brought up a lot of things I never would have thought about. A lot of things to look forward too. I would still recommend a general development book to monitor your childs growth, but this is a good multiples parents view on things.

This gave me a lot to think about but didn't really give me many answers. They also forgot to advertise this as geared toward rich northeastern moms!
