A Demon Slayer short story. Lizzy and her Grandmother together with some of the biker witches are at a Halloween party. Of course they end up with uninvited guests and battle ensues. A sweet holiday related story with the familiar characters from the Demon Slayer series.

Some Like It Hexed by Angie Fox

The biker gals are having a Halloween party and as usual, magic makes for a lively, (gulp!) and almost deadly event. When the magic goes dark, Lizzie and her throwing stars come to the rescue.

A cute, short, Biker Witch novella where love is the goal. And Pirate, the talking dog, is dressed for Halloween as a pirate! Fun image.

Happy Halloween!

I received a copy of the novella from the author.

Lizzie the Demon Slayer has made the spider cupcakes and heads to the senior citizen center. The Biker Witch gang is having a true Halloween Party but something is amiss... Can Lizzy use her talents to help or is it too late to save her Granny..the Head of the Biker Witch gang.
I love this Halloween story of Hexes and spells and things that go Bump in the Night! Plus Ya just gotta love Pirate, Lizzie's canine companion.

I love the Red Skulls biker gang! This time they bring a Halloween party to the Ocean View Senior Living & Rehabilitation Center. But it wouldn't be Halloween or the Red Skulls if there wasn't a little bit of light and dark magic floating around. Lizzie brings Grandma Gertie around in time to bring a little romance to the festivities.

Lizzie, the Demon Slayer, attends a Halloween party at the request of her Grandma Gertie, a witch and leader of the witch biker gang, the Red Skulls. Once she arrives, Lizzie discovers some dark magic and must help her grandma and her friend Rosette fight it off. A cute little short with the characters from the Accidental Demon Slayer series, I especially like Lizzie's little dog, Pirate.

Cute, but pointless

This is one that is easy to read, but no point to the overall series. You really could skip this and not miss anything. It was cute, but like anything else, something goes wrong but nothing really bad happens.

The magical senior centre

Loved it! Halloween biker style! A party at a senior centre should have been a tame affair. But what happens when all the seniors involved have magic? A brilliant coffee break read.

This is a fun novella. Lizzie and her group throw a Halloween party at a nursing home. The participants seem lively until Lizzie's grandmother falls ill. Are there evil spirits around?

I think this book would be enjoyed by all except for the youngest readers.

I got this book as a free download which was great since I love the series. This was a fun Novella that you can't enjoy even if you are not familiar with all the players, but you will love it more if you do. If you like the paranormal genre you have to check this series out. Loved it.

A quick tale to be introduced to both the character and the series in general. Quirky characters and dialogue that keeps one interested right up until the final page. Can't wait to read more of their adventures!

Great short story.

I thought this was a fun short story to read at Halloween. I always enjoy visiting Lizzie and the biker witches. As always, I wish it was longer.

Just a short story, part of the Demon Slayer series. What is better than a Halloween Party at a senior center...until something goes wrong.

Review Courtesy of Romance Junkies:

Lizzie Brown-Kallinikos is the sanctified demon slayer of Dalea. She attends a spur-of-the-moment Halloween party hosted by her grandmother and the rowdy Red Skulls biker gang. Lizzie discovers, much to her surprise, the party is held at a retirement home. During the bash, she senses the ominous presence of black magic subtly hidden beneath the positive magic of the biker witches. Lizzie grows worried when her grandmother falls sick, and she searches desperately for the cause of the strange malady.

It almost feels as if Lizzie and Pirate took secondary precedence in this novella. Instead, it appears like the author focused more on Lizzie’s grandmother, Gertie. I like how Gertie shows she too is liable to weakness and susceptible to the effects of strong, dark magic too. Lizzie demonstrates the lengths she is willing to go to protect and save her eccentric matriarch, proving just how important the old witch is to her. Sadly, I miss the sexy were-gryphon Dimitri. He is glaringly absent in the zanny chaos of this story.

SOME LIKE IT HEXED is a Halloween-themed, short story belonging to the Angie Fox’s fun and quirky DEMON SLAYERS series. I rarely ever see Halloween or Samhain being the main focus for romance books, so I am delighted the holiday finally gets some love and exposure.

SOME LIKE IT HEXED is an entertaining, quick story guaranteed to invoke the Halloween mood. The novella is a great filler in to tie over fans until the next full length DEMON SLAYER book. I always enjoy seeing that the hijinks never stop for Lizzie and her motley comrades, that there is never rest for the wicked.

Another fun little tide-me-over snippet from Angie Fox
**Please note, I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review of this book.**

In Some Like It Hexed, Angie Fox brings back my favorite Demon Slayer, Lizzie, and her mismatched crew of supernatural badasses. Ant Eater, Frieda, and the rest of the biker witches along with Lizzy’s sassy Jack Russell terrier, Pirate, help save Grandma Gertie from an old rival. As the silver haired spell casters work to bring good vibes to some bad land by throwing a full-blown, honest to goodness Halloween bash, complete with cheesy napkins and party store decorations, it’s up to Lizzy to save the day, and her grandmother, in the process, from spells gone awry.

With her usual tongue-in-cheek, laugh out loud humor, Fox gives us another quick, entertaining read in the form of a short 5 chapter story. Complete with her memorable characters, well developed plot, and easy to read writing style, fans of the Demon Slayer series will appreciate this clever little work that not only gives a complete tale, within itself, but seems to also lay some interesting groundwork for a book to come, perhaps?

I really look forward to these interim pieces by Fox, and appreciate that she’s so responsive to her readers’ requests, by creating these little novelettes in between her full length books. If you like well written books, with crazy, quirky characters, interesting plots, and humorous, entertaining writing, and you haven’t given Fox a try, this would be a perfect book for you to explore this always entertaining series.

I was so excited to read another Biker Witch story. This is a very fast read. But full of laughs and suspense. It's Halloween and the vail between us and the spirt world is at its thinnest. Grandma asks Lizzy to come to a Halloween party. This makes Lizzy suspicious because Grandma doesn't have parties she gets into mischief but a party? Fearing Grandma is up to something she agrees to attend. When she reaches the address she was given she can't believe her eyes, this can't be right she thinks. But it is and Grandma explains that she is trying to bring positive energy back into this place. After a bit Grandma isn't looking so good and goes to rest for a bit. Lizzy is understandably worried, her Gram is quite old. Liz goes to get their group healer but when she returns she can't find Grandma. As usual, in an Angie Fox novel things can take a dramatic change with the turning of the page. When Lizzie does find Grandma she worries that her skills may not be enough. Be sure to grab your copy and read it on a creepy spooky night.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This short, adorable, silly, antic-filled, wild read is exactly what you expect to compliment this series. While I don't recommend reading this one if you have no other experience with the series, it probably wouldn't hurt too much.

Lizzie gets invited to a last minute Halloween party thrown by her biker witch friends - what could go wrong? Well, for starters, why would this be happening at a senior center? Oh, and why are there some more magical things happening in front of the normals? It wouldn't be a holiday if there wasn't the appropriate amount of magic and mayhem. The only thing missing from the story was the yummy Dimitri. This story, however, still managed to jam some sigh-worthy romance in with some unlikely participants. If you're looking for a quick, fun read that will make you smile - this is the book for you.

This novella is from Angie Fox's The Biker Witches/Accidental Demon Slayer series. I love the Red Skulls biker gang! I want to ride with them and wear a Kiss My Asphalt t-shirt.
Lizzie's Grandma Gertie, the leader of the Red Skulls tells Lizzie to show up a their Halloween Party with cupcakes. After dressing her dog, Pirate whom she is able to talk with, she puts him on her Harley and heads to the party. Lizzie thinks she must have gotten the directions wrong when she arrives at a Senior Citizen Center. Everything starts to go wrong. Lizzie and Grandma Gertie must take care of some 'black voodoo' gone horrible wrong.
The most surprising fact about this series is that I really love it! I enjoy paranormal books but have always avoided demons, vampires, and zombies, etc. However, the first book I read in this series, I fell in love. This series will add so much enjoyment to your day!

A lightening quick read for those in the mood for a party. It is a Halloween party with a twist, Biker Witch style. Another entertaining tale from Lizzie and Grandma Gertie that shows how ordinary events can trigger magical disaster in the world of the Biker Witches. Halloween brings a party to a senior community that has childhood friends of Grandma Gertie. I loved the imagery and fantasy brought by the author to this novella. It was as if the music and excitement of the party leaped off the pages of the book. As in every tale, there was a sub-story,which I thoroughly enjoyed. I received an ARC. I would highly recommend this novella!!

Just in time for Halloween comes a short story by Angie Fox. Grandma Gertie and her merry band of witches are hosting a Halloween/Recruitment party at the local retirement home. Her granddaughter Lizzie, with Pirate the dog in full costume, is in charge of bringing the spooky cupcakes. Suddenly, Lizzie is in a race to find out what has suddenly made her grandmother and some of the other witches ill. SOME LIKE IT HEXED is a short, but fun story you can read in no short order. So get your copy, make yourself a cup of hot tea or cocoa, find a comfy chair and a cozy blanket and be prepared to spend an hour or so with Lizzie, Grandma, and the gang.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I don't normally care for novellas since they tend to feel like you're reading an entirely different series, but the Demon Slayer novellas seem to hold true to the series. I really enjoyed this short, quick read, but it just didn't have a lot of spunk like the other novellas in this series seemed to have. The resolution was reached pretty quickly, with not as much humor as I would have liked to see from the biker witches, but all in all I came away happy that I had read it.

Lets be honest, if Angie Fox wrote it then I am going to read it. I loved this Halloween novella. Poor Lizzie and the Biker Witches they can't even catch a break for Halloween. First Grandma calls and asks Lizzie to bake spider cupcakes for a halloween party.. odd.. then come to find out the party is at a retirement home.. very odd indeed. Old friends, old flames, and a little Vodoo makes the party complete. This is a fun read and really helps put you in the Halloween spirit!

This is a great short story by the fabulous writer, Angie Fox. And just in time for Halloween. Its about Lizzie helping the Biker Witches throw a Halloween party at a senior home. And of course things have to go haywire or it wouldnt be a great demon slayer book. Not going to go into to much detail but everything works out in the end. There are no sex scenes in this short story. Writing is wonderfully done.

Lizzie is saving the day again but this time it's at a Halloween party at a senior center. This is a short story based on the Demon Slayer series. Lizzie joins her Grandma at a senior living facility to help with a Halloween party. Little does she know that the party is not just dancing and eating cupcakes. There is evil present and its up to Lizzie to protect those she loves. This was a cute, fun, quick read.

I love this series. This is a perfect "between the books" short story to get your demon slayer fix. Just in time for Halloween, Angie Fox brings us a story about the Biker Witches, Lizzie, Pirate, Voodoo, and a retirement home. Yep, a retirement home. If that isn't enough to grab your attention and keep you reading, then let's add a costume party, spelled punch, a long lost love, and voodoo gone amiss. This may be a short story, but it sure was a fun read. Highly recommend!
