Trent Duncan did a good job holding his family together after his dad died. He'd kept his little sister out of trouble and taught her about life. It's just too bad he couldn't do the same for himself. Now he's the man your momma always warned you about: charming, smooth talking--and jobless. He's got a phony business card and a line for every situation--and every conquest. But the ultimate player is about to play himself right outta the game. Because a couple of Trent's ex-girlfriends are about to make him wish he'd listened to his momma. . .
The only person Trent can't seem to get around anymore is his big brother, Wil. Wil's got problems of his own. He thought he was happily married, until his wife, Diane, stopped being intimate with him. She's got her reasons, but if she doesn't explain herself soon, she may lose her husband to his voluptuous--and lusty--new secretary.
Meanwhile, little sister Melanie is all grown up and sure she's met her prince--literally. Prince may be a friend of Trent's, but the two men are like night and day. Prince is the kind of man Melanie would like to have kids with. Trouble is, she's not alone.
Pretty soon, these three very different siblings have something in common--they're all in hot water. And they need to find a way to help themselves--and each other--before they get burned. . .

This book was hilarious. The ending was the funniest of all. It had me hooked from page one. Trent was a womanizer. He could talk the money and underwear off of any woman. Melanie was a true friend who wanted to believe the best about everyone. Will was a loving husband whose wife was holding out on him. Besides being family, they all had one more thing in common. Either they were the player or getting played. Once you throw in the additional players, you have a great mix of love, family, friendship, humor, craziness, and dedication. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Good Job Carl Weber!
I Love Carl Weber books. He usually has a nice twist to his stories. This book was very disappointing. It was Very different from his writing style. I researched it and found out that this book was the second book that he’s ever written so it makes sense. Overall it was an ok read. I just read it to pass the time of waiting for my books to come
I discovered that I really love Carl Weber's books. I love his style, and the way he puts some much needed drama in everything he writes. The only thing I didn't like about this book was the title. That part wasn't creative, but that's neither here nor there.
PLAYER HATERS is the story of the Duncan family. Wil, Trent and Melanie Duncan are close as siblings should be, standing by each other and helping to resolve each one's issues.
Wil loves his wife Diane, but she has been keeping a secret and turning away from him, leaving Wil to suspect only the worst from his wife. When his new temp secretary, Mimi comes in, Wil may turn to her for what he feels he is missing from Diane.
Trent, Melanie and Wil's playboy brother, is a scheming, and low down dirty ladies man. And boy do the ladies love him. He has the charm, and swagger of a man who can talk the panties off a nun. But that charm won't get him out of the predicament of having someone's life on his shoulders. He needs to grow up fast, and take care of the son he has been denying before he loses everything he has.
Melanie has met the man of her dreams in Prince. He is attentive, romantic, and not to mention handsome. She sees Prince in her future, and thinks he is the one for her. The problem is, someone very close to her thinks the same thing. If this person can't have Prince to herself, then she will make sure Melanie can't either.
this book is about a "player". his girlfriend has a baby but he doesn't think its his.everyone keeps telling him its his.EVEN HIS MOTHERF.so he starts to believe its his.he goes onto this show thats something like maury and finds out the baby isn't his.

I've read this book twice and still enjoyed it. the story line was excellent and. the drama was endless. It's usually not my type of book but nonetheless I loved it. Still debating whether I should read more of his books though...
what an absolutely amazing tale! somewhat predictable, but still a FANTABULOUS read! it was just juicy! no need for soap operas and maury when i have one of mr. weber's books:)
I thought Trent Duncan was a straight up A**HOLE in this one. But cracked up laughing when Trent was screwing some chick in his cousin's crib & the cousin, I think his name was WILL DUNCAN, erroneously believed that Trent was screwing WILL's wife(TRENT: "Who's P---- Is This?! I Said 'Who's P---- Is THIS?!?!?"WILL-With a weapon in his hand as he heads into the direction of the bedroom where TRENT is GETTIN' IT IN): "MY P----!" HILARIOUS! I wished that CARL WEBER wouldn't have had TRENT Killed off in TFB2 though. He could've been of use somewhere down the line in future books.
One of the stories has nothing to do with a player or a hater. That chick is just crazy and deranged!! I wish we had gotten a little more of a happy ending for one charecter. And I will say the one that needed to get played did, lmbo! Overall, it was a good book and worth the read. I still just thought one story didn't fit.
I love Carl Weber books for the humor and his versatility to act out the minds of men and women alike. It’s amazing how great he is at capturing the attitudes and personalities of us women, love his writing style for that. His books always keep it real and hold my interest from cover to cover.
This book had me on the edge of my seat everynight. All three siblings had great stories, but that ending..lol.. I bout threw the book as I bust out in laughter. Players eventually get played and he sure as heck caught his. Leave it to Carl Weber to get me out of my reading funk. Great book!!!
One of my favorite novels period...Carl Weber at his best...I keep this one locked away in a box...lol... Not a flat moment...will hold your attention from start to finish...
Another great read from Carl! Very talented. He knows how to draw in his readers. Once again, secrets, lies, deceit, and everything else great in ONE book. Loved this!
Pretty good book. It needed better than I thought it would. I enjoy reading Carl Weber's books. This book was crazy. Mimi needed help her sister stepped in too late. I'm happy that she didn't hurt Diane or Will, but she end up killing herself. I'm glad that Will and Diane's marriage is doing better. Trent got what he deserved in the end. I really thought the baby was his, but he got played. Melanie finally got a good man and got rid of that trifling friend of hers.
This book was great! It follows a man named Trent and the people in his family. The family is strong and very tight. No matter what happens with anyone they always come out supporting each other. They even threw in a crazy girl to spice it up even more.
So far both Carl Weber books have been juicy, for lack of better words. My goodness! They are drama , but at least it's someone else's and not your own. It's like being a fly on the wall as you listen in on what his characters are going through.
Awful. One of the worse books I ever EVER read. I dont know, but I think this author hates women. The women in this book are either crazy or stupid. And the men...well, I had no sympathy for any of them. Honstly, if all the characters had died I wouldnt even care.
It was entertaining. But it didn't get that way really until over hundred pages into it. Of course I finished and found it to be somewhat good. Its kind of like those movies that if you see you are like that was alright, but your not gonna miss out if you didn't see it.
I LOVED this book!! It had me on the edge of my seat the whole read and if a book has talking to it like I do the tv when something good happens then it is a damn good read ...looky looky, what a good booky !!!
Took me several months to finish bc I couldn't get into it, but mid way through it got much more interesting. Loved revisiting with Wil and Diane from the book Married Men. Did not see the way the book ended coming!
