Charles Eugene Belknap was an American politician who served as a representative from the state of Michigan (1889-1891). During the Civil War, he served in the Army of the Cumberland during the Atlanta Campaign, and with General Sherman's March to the Sea and through the Carolinas Campaign. He later published his memories of early Grand Rapids, MI history in The Yesterdays of Grand Rapids, along with a history of Michigan soldiers' involvement in select Civil War battles.
