On the other hand, if the experimental data of the last two decades are wrong in minimizing the relative value of chemical purity of the atmosphere, then window ventilation as we have described it is inadequate, and it will be necessary to insure at all times voluminous and continuous ?ushing of the room with outside air. This can be done only by mechanical means, that is by plenum fans or blowers.
