Up in the Air

Rate this book
Ryan grew up as a military brat, and always looked forward to joing the USAF, and following in his fathers, and grandfather's, footsteps. With college done, he was ready to start the next step in his life, but not before seeing if the woman of his dreams would be his wife.

Elana had known since high school that she would marry Ryan. She'd also known that it meant she was destined to be a military wife, something that had never truly bothered her. Never until Ryan left for basic training right after proposing.

Love or duty? Both are on the line as Ryan and Elana struggle to find themselves in the newest chapter of their relationship. The military lifestyle isn't for everyone, and only time will tell if they choose to say "I do".

Lexi Ostrow has been in love with the written word since second grade when her librarian started a writing club. Born in sunny southern California she's spent time in various places across the country and can't wait to settle down somewhere in the French Quarter when she's able too.

Lexi has been a writer ever since the second grade in some form or another. Getting her degree in creative writing and her master's in journalism she couldn't wait to get a chance to put her fantasies down on paper. Her debut novel, Torn Between Two Worlds is something that was simmering in her mind since middle school and she's so grateful to put it out into the literary world. From paranormal romance to thriller there isn't a genre she doesn't love to spend her time reading or writing.

Reading and writing are her first loves but her passion for shopping, love for yummy food and her love for all her many pets. She hopes to one day help other readers fall in love with writing as she did.

Real life

This one was very interesting to read. I don’t know why I thought there would be a little more, but I liked it. I have seen people go through something similar and it is no fun, I’m glad it had a happy ending.

I do so enjoy reading military romance. This author knows how to write them right. this one will also pull at your heart strings and keep you transfixed as this story develops as you read it. Ryan had known he was going to marry Elana but before he asked her he had enlisted. I know personally that has caused a rift or two in a relationship but that being said it does go with who you are with if that is their heart's desire. Elana does say yes but then you see the struggle she has and the wear and tear it puts on their relationship once he is in training. Oh my then it gets really emotional but love will have to work overtime. The thing about love it will overcome many mountains as this author will show. She will tell you what Elana does with her decisions, time will tell how it all works out.

A very touching, sweet and romantic story that will get to your heart and under your skin. I loved every word on every page in it! So so realistic written about a soon to become military wife and her airman/pilot, Elana and Ryan's story won't let you loose until you read the last page. I won't spoil anything, but you have to read this! And be prepared to have some tissues next to you. Highly recommended!!

Up in the Air in Service, USAF by Lexi Ostrow is a novella about Ryan and Elana his high school sweetheart. Ryan has always wanted to be an Air Force pilot and carry on the traditions of his family. He joins before asking Elana to marry him.The story shows how hard it is to be a young couple in love and facing continuous separation. Can Elana stay strong for Ryan? That is the question.
