I very much enjoyed this book, but my opinion is biased because I'm related to the author. My grandfather, Ernie, Willis's brother, is mentioned in one chapter.

of course I am going to give a great review to this book as i love reading about historical or cultural stories during 1800-1900's America. I enjoy a good story teller, and that's exactly what Handlogger Jackson is. A memorable autobiography, some amazing adventures, and a great snapshot in time of early Alaska at the turn of the century.

This is an awesome book that is REALLY hard to find. It describes the life of an early pioneer hand-logger in southern Alaska.
