The writing could use some work and the flow of the story was all over the place. Overall though I got way more insight about the story than what the songs gave me.

Well, okay, I have to say that I was expecting something better. The first half, even though it was necessary for introducing all of the characters, was really long-winded and for me actually kinda hard to read. The second half unfortunately couldn’t save it.
But I still have high hopes for the second volume.

No, čekala jsem, že to bude lepší. První polovina navzdory tomu, že byla potřeba, aby představila všechny postavy, byla neuvěřitelně rozvláčná a četla se mi dost špatně. Druhá to pak bohužel už nebyla schopna vynahradit.
I tak mám ale pořád docela velké naděje, co se týče druhého volumka.

Finished the first volume of Bad End Night and this what what I think about it, I heard about the novel after I saw music video series with the same title, I watched it again and again, and read the lyrics to form the whole picture but I was left with some random and mixed pieces that were hard to assemble for me, so I decided to read the novel.
The start of the novel was encouraging and I liked how the novel was mostly carried by the first person perspective of the main protagonist, and how she was describing every action the other characters were doing and tying it with her thoughts about them, and I think this perspective suites the story perfectly.
The first vol ended in a good way that makes me want to read the next one right away.
I want to thank both the writer and the translator, the writer for writing such a wonderful work, and the translator for putting great effort translating this novel from Japanese to English, I barely felt that I'm reading a translated work it felt more like a native English written novel to me.
