Where do I start with this book? First off, if you haven't read the series, do yourself a favor, and pick up the entire series right away. I have read all three books in the series now, and wow! What a whirlwind, roller coaster ride Anie Michaels will put you on.
After a crazy, coincidental night that landed Porter, and Ella a chance meeting, everything has tested their love, and their life that they had perfectly planned out. From a crazy ex-boyfriend stalker, to something that would be a HUGE spoiler, Porter, and Ella really fight for their love throughout the entire Never Series. Never Giving Up closes off their whirlwind romance with a bang. I absolutely loved this series, and will plan on reading it in the years to come.
Ella and Porter have had a lot of life changes. Between commuting back, and forth for the first few months of their relationship, her crazy ex-boyfriend, the thing that I won't mention(!), and expecting their first child, life couldn't be any better for them. When Detective Dillard calls them, explaining that they may have who they're looking for, fear rips through Ella's life once more to the point that she knows the stress is bad for their baby. But until she knows for certain that her life is no longer in danger, she cannot find the peace, and quiet that she knows she needs.
Upon returning to the house that Porter built for Ella, she feels as if Porter has rejected her since having the baby. Porter does his best to reassure Ella that things have not changed, and he's just determined to help out more now that the baby is here, and that Ella has placed most of her focus on their baby. Things take a turn for the worse as the book comes to a close, and its devastating whether you are a mother, or not. The pain that Anie painted between Porter, and Ella was excruciating as their child was rushed off for blood work, and other medical testing.
Overall, Never Giving Up, was a wonderful conclusion to a really well-written, well thought out story line. Anie Michaels really out did herself this round with Porter, and Ella. They easily turned into my favorite couple of the year. I do look forward to revisiting the books at a later date.
