WARNING: THIS IS AN HONEST, HIGHLY SUBJECTIVE AND MAY CONTAIN SPOILER REVIEW.
I didn't enjoy the main characters. Their romance felt forced, no chemistry and the forced attraction happened in a flash. Everything revolves them just bland. I thought with Darcy the Druid could make things interesting because she's more than human but unfortunately, she is just the same with previous damsel in distress human heroines.
I was getting bored with the endless fight between Con and Ulrik why can't the two just start killing each other already bet it can save others' energies and time. I was as always bored when the book keeps repeating and repeating and repeating the history of these dragon kings yada yada yada blah blah blah there there there notice my frustration is because I bet it's quite crystal clear shine bright like a diamond starts singing Rihanna's!
I don't know if it is sad or not because the only thing that kept me continuing the torturous journey till the end was enjoying Rhi's part. Only Rhi's part that is interesting even though she started becoming pathetic I just wanted to kick her to stop.
The joy simply ends there right after I read the excerpt of the next book. I'm disappointed because the heroine is a human and that human is better be lethal. I don't think I could endure another torturous read about saving another yet damsel in distress. It makes me insane just kill me already.
Oh how I wish I could skip it but I know I could not, I cannot because Rhi will be in the book. She has this important role that she's featured in all books in the series so far. Overall, Soul Scorched wasn't for me. Sorry, but not sorry.
Main characters: Warrick (Dragon King of Jade) + Darcy (Druid)
So I have a thing for a man that’s only nice to his woman. And if that’s not Warrick idk what is! What a enigma of a man but dang I’m totally into him! Loved this story and loved the little nest eggs Donna Grant has in this book. We learned a lot in this one! I won’t give away anything to future readers but I will say that Con has some audacity!!
One of the reasons I really NEED to read every one of these books is something that happens in THIS book. I'm addicted. I admit it. I want them all. I want to know how many there will be in the series. I want to know every King that gets a book. I want to know what happens with all the players. And this book just made that need worse.
Darcy is Druid and her magic has caused some concern among the Kings. What, I cannot tell you. But it's enough to have Warrick going to watch over her. And she definitely needs protecting. The dark are out for her and they won't stop at anything until they have her. But protection detail turns into something more as War spends more time with Darcy. And these two together? Well, as with all of these books, they are HOT - scorching HOT.
I didn't know Warrick before this book. The Kings sleep away centuries sometimes so I don't know how many there actually are. It's part of my issue - I really want to know when I'm going to find the overarching story finished. So many things are happening there. I want to know about Ry and that King that shall not be named. Oh and....yes I can't tell you about that. I just want to know it all. This series consumes me.
I love the characters and the way they fall for each other. I love that the previous Kings and their mates are around. I love that Con is forever making me wonder. I want to know which King...aw, yes something else I can't tell you. But I love it all and just keep reading book after book.
Have you started this series? If you love paranormal romance with a healthy side of yummy dragons, then you MUST.
I read Darkest Flame from this author, the first in her Dark Kings series, and fell in love! Donna Grant knows how to swirl fantasy, romance, and a moving overall plot. I love how each king is destined for a mate and each one receives one whether they like it or not. Soul Scorched receives high praise and a full on 5 dark and delightfully bright stars from me.
This book focuses on Warrick. He's the king that is an observer, he's fascinated by the human species and enjoys watching them and using their technology. He tends to be on the quiet side as he can get awkward in conversation. I loved him. His fated one, Darcy, was great for him and with him. She made him feel comfortable enough to have lengthy conversations and push him mentally.
Darcy isn't a regular human but a Druid. She has the gift of reading palms and seeing futures which is how she makes her living. She is tangled up in the dragon kings due to helping an enemy king gain some of his stripped magic back. Darcy believes there are two sides to every story and that she should remain neutral. It gets harder to remain neutral when she's feeling a rather massive pull towards a certain dragon.
I liked Darcy and Warrick together. While the story is mostly about Warrick finding his destined mate in Darcy, there is the overall theme of all out war with the Dark Fae that carries from the very first book and the ever rising threat of the banished dragon king of the silver dragons. The story is engaging, witty, and sexy.
This series is beginning to lose steam for me. There is too much repetition of information already learned in previous books which had me skimming quite a lot to get to the new stuff. Re-hashing the back story of the Dragon Kings history is not necessary in every book. The parts of this book I loved the most were the ones revolving around my favorite character Rhi, but I wanted more of her story with Balladyn and less of Warrick and his lady Druid Darcy. There characters were okay but not nearly as appealing as some of the already established characters I've met in previous books. I really hope this series draws to a close soon because I want to know how everything is resolved. But, I'm not interested in anymore dragons finding their mates. Each book seems to follow the same formula so the element of surprise is somewhat missing. More action and less mating would be a plus! Anyway, I liked this one but I just didn't love it like some of the previous installments. But, I will still be on board for the next books because like I said... I need to see how this ends!
Living in Edinburgh away from her family on the Isle of Skye, Darcy spends her days in her shop reading palms, telling the secrets that the tarot cards show, and accepting a challenge that will irrevocably change her life forever. She never expected the change though. She thought her magic would protect her from the consequences. Still it was a challenge and she wanted to test out just how powerful that magic was. Her powerful magic drops her into the center of the Dragons and the Dark and a war she never knew existed.
Keeping an eye on the Druid and finding out her secrets is an easy enough task for Warrick. Unlike most of his brethren he likes the curiosities that are humans. He has always been fascinated by them. Warrick finds them intriguing. He finds that Darcy captures his attentions for a completely different set of reasons. He’s always believed that he never wanted a mate, until Darcy. The problem here is the fact that the reason she has captured the attention of the Dragons puts her not only in peril from numerous enemies, it also puts her at the top of Con’s most wanted list.
I think I’m at the point in this series where I’m enjoying the shift of character personalities and traits and motives more than I’m enjoying the new couples. Constantine has went from concerned leader who does what is best for his people to a complete and utter asshole. Rhi has been a favorite of mine from the very beginning. I’m actually starting to worry about her the same way everyone else has been for several books now. She does a few things here that really make me wonder where her character is going. Then of course there is Ulrik. I love cheering the underdog and hoping for the best out of the villain and their true motives. That keeps Ulrik a favorite of mine. He is still doing many questionable things for far too many different unknown reasons. I love it!
Donna has had Con waking the sleeping Dragon Kings for the impending war. Soul Scorched introduces several new Dragons while mentioning quite a few that are awake and coming into the fold after their time away in their hidden sleeps. I’m so happy that this sexy paranormal series will continue for a while.
I'm thinking the next Dragon King I want to read about is Thorn, he was a hoot, "there was a smile in Thorn’s voice when he said, “I gave my jeans to Warrick. I’m no’ shy, lass, but I doona want to embarrass Warrick.” A growl rose up from Warrick as he faced the shadows , his nostrils flaring." Warrick may be thinking be doesn't want a mate but Darcy has that way about her that gets him thinking naughty thoughts, "just when I was looking forward to a hot bath and my bed,” she said with a grin. Warrick looked at her mouth at the mention of her bed, his balls tightening as he recalled how close they’d come to kissing." This one was my favorite book out of the series so far. I really want the next one I need some answers about our little light fae Rhi.
This novel is #6 in the series, "Dark Kings" by author; Donna Grant. Okay, I'm 6 novels into this series and there's just not enough praises to give to it! Another great addition to that HOT Scottish Alpha male that's able to shift into their natural form as a Dragon! This story has a lot of heart, heartbreak, some crazy passion and of course there's the plot twist that has the reader saying "OMG! Seriously!!" I fell in love with the female main character and her spunkiness. She's just super unique! I did find myself chuckling over another character whose story is coming up soon because he was just funny. This is a GREAT series, it really is. If you are stuck in a book rut give this series and author a try. You really won't be disappointed! =)
I'm a fan of dragons, and Warrick, the lone awkward and strong man, is a great dragon hero. The Dark Kings series is fun. Simply put, it's steamy, passionate and has fantastic interactions between the main characters and the people populating this excellent world. This is the sixth book, and Donna has set up so much for the next books that I can't wait to read about the bad boy of their world!
Head over to the HEA Blog to read a mini interview with Donna Grant on her awkward hero and the Dragon Kings!
Darcy and Warrick are great together. I love how his friends pitch in to help, plus it's great seeing all the other Dragon Kings. Bad guy needs to die!
This was good. It really was. I liked Warrick and Darcy. I was rooting for them. Plus more and more secrets and more questions were revealed. But tbh I want to skip to Ulrik's and Con's books. Especially because Audible Escapes is going away. I may do that. I never do that. I'm going to miss something in the overall story arch. Especially something with Rhy. But I'm going to do that. 😳 Happy reading!
Dark Kings is a series that just keeps getting better. Some 6 books in, and there still seems to be nowhere to go but better still. Soul Scorched features Warrick, Jade Dragon King, and more to the point, his stellar leading lady, Darcy.
Why do I make such a distinction between Warrick and his leading lady at such an early point in my review? The answer to that is simple. The story...is...about...her!
That's right! This story is all about a human, Druid, from the Isle of Skye, who opens a Pandora's box, and winds up in the middle of a WAR!
Oh yeah! There's also the part where she... Ahhh...Ahhh...Ahh... Can't tell the whole story here.
But I can tell you this. For the most part, Warrick is one of the more mild mannered of the dragons. He spends a lot of his time either behind the scenes, or playing peacemaker. So, seeing him front and center, saving Darcy from the Dark Fae is quite the surprise.
It seems that the Dark Fae are getting bolder than ever. Even endeavoring to show themselves in broad daylight. In answer to this, Constantine is forced to send his dragons closer to humans and human detection. Unknowingly putting one of his dragons closer to the choice between duty and love than anyone ever thought possible.
The Reason?
To put it mildly. Darcy is a girl in very, very, deep (insert appropriate expletive here.) But that is what happens to anyone who helps exiled Dragon King, and all around bad guy, Ulrik. In her defense, she never knew the half of what she was getting herself into. He didn't exactly come with a warning label. But Darcy is also a girl who proves time and time again that she is unafraid to stand toe to toe with the best of them, and unafraid to defend her actions. Which is a good thing, because she spends most of her time doing just that.
It seems that Darcy has the ability to bring out that bad in just about everybody. Constantine is so convinced that she is working for Urik that he interrogates her relentlessly. Even though he is the one who calls for her protection in the first place. The Dark Fae want her for...well? And...then there's Ulrik? Is it any wonder that she chooses the gentle and understanding Warrick as her go to?
Webs...upon webs...upon webs. Bravo Miss Grant. There is so much here to get angry, curious, upset, or just plain intrigued about. That one is always anticipating the next word, sentence, paragraph, or page.
Things are lightening fast and frying pan hot, both plot and action wise; from the start of this book, right through to the end. With focus shifted much further away from the Dark Fae side of things. Readers are once again seeing a tale that is all about the dragons. Well, them and a few pissed off Druids. The Dark Fae meanwhile, are relegated to some very choice fighting scenes, and Rhi's part of the story.
As always, no Dark Kings novel would be complete without all of the toe curling sex, and passion that have become trademarks of this series. But be prepared to lose your heart this time around. Because while Darcy does get her happily... There are more than a few surprising storm clouds marring her walk into the sunset.
Darcy is a beautiful woman with many gifts and she is the only Druid who can unlock the secrets and desires of a Dragon King and it’s up to Warrick to keep her safe in this spectacular paranormal romance.
Darcy sets his soul on fire but protecting her puts himself and his entire race in jeopardy and the reader can’t help but be mesmerized by the hypnotic spell of these strong compelling characters as they fight their attraction while in the middle of a deadly siege. The chemistry between Warrick and Darcy sizzles throughout the story and the sex scenes are steamy but Darcy has some conflicting views on certain subjects that angers the Kings and Warrick doesn’t want a mate so the relationship is a work in progress which adds lots of spice to the story, While the fast paced, smooth flowing plot enthralls readers with lots of suspense, excitement and passion.
Excitement and tension consumes readers throughout this story which never has a dull moment with all the dark fae attacks, betrayals, emotional turmoil and heated passion. Unexpected twists and turns keeps readers guessing and let me tell you there are quite a few that I certainly didn’t see coming and I have to tell you that the tension among the Dragon Kings themselves add to the overall expectation building throughout the story and adds to the pressure of the war with Ulrik. It is easy to become engrossed in the story because of the well written scenes and details that bring the story to life and the intriguing events ensure readers come back for more.
Warning: This story will have you questioning everything you thought you knew about this series and may even have you switching loyalties, so be prepared to get caught up in an action-packed intrigue full of the sexy Dragon Kings because you do not want to miss out on this mind blowing romance.
Donna Grant continues with SOUL SCORCHED the sixth book in the Dragon Kings series. With the heroine, Darcy born on the Isle of Skye, she possesses some extraordinary gifts. But her gift of fortune-telling has made her special because only she can unlock the secrets of a Dragon King. More on the sweeter side, Darcy is a little more subtle I think compared to the other heroines in the series. She is kindhearted and intelligent, which makes her admirable in my eyes. However I don’t think I connected with her as much as I have with the others for some reason. I think this is mainly due to the fact that Grant takes a slightly different approach in this book. While the writing and plotting is still excellent, she pulls back on the action and suspense in the beginning and opts for building that up as the story progresses instead of throwing the reader straight into the heart of the fire. That being said, I still very much enjoyed it.
I feel the same way with Warrick. Grant made him desirable and sexy but it’s more of a slow burn rather than a full blast of a dragon’s fire. Because he feels partly responsible for the trouble that Darcy finds herself in with the Dark Fae, he wishes to protect her and that kind of proximity will only lead to more trouble of a different kind.
While Grant always comes up with new and inventive ways to build on her Dragon Kings world, you can always count on her to deliver some enchanting characters and sizzling chemistry!
It is obvious that the series is building up to something huge. I hope my heart can take it!
The Dragon King's gaze turned to her. Darcy watched him standing in the glow of the streetlight, completely mesmerized by the dragon tat that ran from the King's right shoulder, under his armpit, and down his side to the top of his right thigh. The dragon's head was at the front of the man's shoulder and had his mouth open as if on a roar. He was rearing with his wings up and out. It was his long tail that stopped at the King's thigh. The King glistened with sweat that made his muscles gleam in the light. Darcy had the absurd notion to run her hands all over his body, learning the feel of his hard muscles and warm skin.
Linda's Thoughts:
SOUL SCORCHED by Donna Grant was an exciting, solid installment in Donna's hot Dark Kings series. I honestly can't get enough of her sexy Scottish dragons! This was the story of Warrick, a Dragon King, and Darcy, a Druid from the Isle of Skye. I liked them both.
I strongly recommend that the Dark Kings series be read in order as there are several ongoing storylines within the series. That said, Donna does include needed historical info so, if you are a newbie, you won't be completely lost if you were to pick this book up first. The romantic relationship and the primary danger plot are fully contained within this novel, so if you are determined to read SOUL SCORCHED as a standalone, feel free. If you do, I bet you'll be intrigued and resolve to go back and catch up with the series.
As the story opens, the Dragon Kings have discovered that a Druid named Darcy helped Ulrik regain some of his magical powers. Con sends Warrick and Thorn, a newly awakened King, to protect and convince her to come to Dreagan as Con wants to interrogate her. Warrick finds her just in time as the Dark Fae have staked their claim to her.
There were so many twists in SOUL SCORCHED! I muttered "what the heck" and "how can that be?" too many times to count while reading it. While it wasn't one of my favorites in the series, it was still very enjoyable and I wouldn't have missed reading it for the world. I love how the Dragon Kings are being mated even if it wasn't their intention. They are dropping like flies.
WOW! I am speechless! Just when you think you got it figured out Donna throws us for a loop! We discover something about a certain Dragon King that left me so mad at him! I about threw my kindle! I did have to stop reading for a minute to calm down!! lol! Everything we think we know of the Dragon Kings is changing. You are pulled in from the start and surrounded by the magic and mayhem, Donna writes so well. Darcy is a powerful Druid that left her home on Skye in search for something she hasn't yet found. Though leaving her home wasn't a hardship because she felt confined there. So she has made a life for herself in Edinburgh. Years ago she helped Ulrik unbind some of his dragon magic and that puts her on the Dragon Kings radar. They soon discover they are not the only ones that want her. The Dark want her dead. As they search for answers to give them an advantage in their war against the Dark Fae, Warrick is sent to get the information she holds at all costs. That is until he lays eyes on the beautiful Druid. She stirs all these new emotions in him and he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Darcy doesn’t know who to trust. All the people at Dreagan look at her as the enemy. Now realizing how evil Ulrik has been she doesn’t blame them. She helped release a terrible evil on the world. Warrick seems to see her differently, but she is unsure of how they can be more when all his friends look at her with distrust. Warrick doesn’t care what she did in the past, he knows she is not in league with their enemies. As more trouble brews, Warrick will have to do something he never dreamed he’d have to do. Protect her from one of their own. He may be too late to save her. My heart just aches for Rhi. I truly hope she gets some peace soon, but I have a feeling it’s going to get a whole lot worse for her before it gets better. There is so much going on in this book. The world as the Dragon Kings know it is going to change. Counting down the days until Passion Ignites!
ARG!!!!! Okay so I'm happy that Warrick is the latest King to find his mate in Darcy. Sucks that she has to be the one that Ulrik uses to gain magical powers which in turn forces her to lose hers. Warrick has to come out of his shell to protect Darcy and find out just what the heck is going on. Darcy, for her part, stays neutral about most things and tries to see all sides of the issue. Could she really be the only one who suspects that someone other than Ulrik may be pulling the strings. While I love the romance and chemistry between each couple it's the side stories that are really grabbing my attention. Those are what I want answers to; (1) Rhi---what the heck is going on with her? Three men who are in love with her yet she still yearns for the unnamed King who dumped her. (Still have a feeling it's Con even though it now looks like he might be making whoopie with Queen Usaeil.) And what is going to happen when she decides just who she is now? (2) Ulrik--- how long is he going to wait before he unleashes his vengeance against the Kings? How much longer will he let his uncle think he's in control? And what's with him kissing Rhi...say what?!?!?! (3) Con---now he is in serious trouble; between losing his grip on reality and control of the Kings he's heading for a MAJOR breakdown. Is he really spending time with Queen Usaeil and to what ends? I have a feeling there is a lot more to his back story and Darcy looking into Ulrik's memories might hold the key to shedding some light on some interesting facts. Now I see that there is the mention of a mysterious missing King simply known as "V"....and a close connection to Ulrik was hinted at....hmmm. Thorn's story is up next and since we haven't seen much of him this could be an interesting read. Just hope it holds it's own against the trio of Rhi, Con and Ulrik.
Each time I review and read a book of Donna Grant's I am not disappointed. As we are introduced to more and more dragon kings I am always wondering who will be next and if we will finally find out who Rhi's dragon lover is. In this novel we are introduced to Darcy, a Skye Druid, living in Edinburgh. She has run her own little shop for several years reading palms and tarot. When she gets a visit for Ulrik she has no idea that her life is about to change.
Warrick is a solitary dragon, he never knows what to say or how to act around people. When is he sent to Edinburgh to watch the druid that has helped Ulrik unbind some of his magic he does not expect to be drawn to her, much less want to spend time with her. As he talks to Darcy he grows closer and closer. He is not looking for a mate, but could it be her? As he defends her from the Dark and even some of his brethren he comes to realize that she is the one, whether he wants a mate or not and he will stand up against anyone who means to hurt her.
As Darcy falls more and more in love with Warrick, she struggles with how they can ever be together. She unbound his enemies powers. And she refuses to come between him and the other dragon kings. But when tragedy strikes she realizes that she is now a part of Dreagan and has finally found what she left Skye looking for.
I can't praise this series highly enough and if I could give it 10 stars I would. One thing you are always assured of with this series is mystery woven into fantasy along with intense sexual heat between the two main characters. I am still loving the ongoing storyline and Grant is superb at keeping you hanging on in suspense for the final epic battle, whilst moving it along at just the right pace to hold your interest. Each dragon king has a unique personality and Warrick is no different, Darcy however is different to the other mates in what her involvement with Ulrik is (don't want to give any spoilers so I'm being careful what I say). It puts a different spin on the story and continues to keep you guessing as to Ulrik's true nature, as you never can be quite sure, one minute you think you know who the good guy is and then next it's up in the air. This is the book where I feel that all the players are gearing up to make their move, but it also puts into question some of the dragon king's loyalties and where they lie. Rhi's character has become the biggest mystery of all and I'm so looking forward to her full story and finding out who her dragon king was? is? Who knows, anything can happen.
Book six of the Dark Kings series begins with finding out more kings have awakened in preparation for the coming battle with Ulrik. This installment focuses on Warrick whom we met briefly in Night’s Blaze. He is sent to watch over Darcy, a Druid, who garnered the interest of the kings because she is the one who helped Ulrik get some of his magic back. What makes the whole situation complicated is that the Dark Fae are after her although we know that they are in league with Ulrik who still needs her to get more of his magic unbound. Warrick ends up having to protect Darcy from the Dark Fae and the Dragon Kings.
Donna Grant continues to build on the series. There are some big revelations in this installment but also more questions. The series is definitely building up to something huge; there is just no way of knowing exactly how it will unfold at this point. With an influx of new dragon kings the series could continue indefinitely which is a double-edged sword; readers want to see the coming battle but as with all series there is an attachment to the characters you don’t want to end.
NOTE: I read SOUL SCORCHED as a 4 part serial-these are my final thoughts
SOUL SCORCHED is a revealing storyline that focuses on Con’s need for revenge, and Ulrik’s determination to get back control and the power he believes he deserves. As Con begins to mobilize the Kings in a war against the Dark Fae, Ulrik’s silver dragons begin to stir and awaken from their eons of magically induced sleep.
Donna Grant is a fantastic storyteller; her dragons are sexy, determined, charismatic and strong; the romances are compelling and hard fought; the matings are unexpected. SOUL SCORCHED continues to focus on the possibility of another war but the who and the why are not always readily apparent.
Repetitive. I 🤔 think the series can be told without starting all over again. It’s like a tv series - DG goes through all the seasons summary before beginning the “new” story and that took 19 chapters 😤 We know they’re dragons 🐉 and Ulrik’s part! Just continue please!
Well damn. We got a lot of truths in this one. Some of them I literally dropped my jaw for. This was, in my opinion, one of the more interesting couples too. Darcy is fascinating and I hope this isn't the end of her story. I want good things for her in the future. (like...the return of what she lost...) SPOILERS: Holy fucking shit. I've been #teamulrik this whole time but now everything I suspected has been blown to smithereens. Ok, I'm making another prediction then. I predict that Ulrik is still mostly innocent and tried to kill Darcy because he knew Con could save her and he needed Mikkel to believe him. Honestly, I just feel for his character. Who wouldn't be a vengeful prick after everything the Dragon Kings did to him? Or maybe that's just hopeful thinking because I actually find myself really liking Ulrik and want him to not be the fuck face everyone thinks he is.
Quotes Warrick reclined in the overstuffed chair, his feet propped on the stool before him as he randomly looked through Facebook pages, Twitter posts, and Instagram pictures. He was constantly amazed at the brilliant and idiotic things humans imparted about their lives. For some reason, the mortals truly believed everyone wanted to know every detail of their lives like when they got up and what food they chose to eat. Warrick didn’t understand this need humans felt to convey such mundane intricacies. Nor could he fathom why he looked at their posts almost every day. [Same Warrick, same.]
“There is darkness within you. I feel it.” “There is darkness within every creature, just as there is light. You brought more darkness out in me, but I didn’t give in to it.”
Unrequited love was the worst. It killed souls, slowly destroying all hope until all that was left was a hollow shell. A soul that was withered and dry. Like hers. It was also the reason the darkness was able to enter her as it had.
War is war no matter who is fighting or what time period. There is death and destruction, and both sides lose.
For thousands of years, Ulrik has roamed the realm as a human, his powers bounded by the other Dragon Kings. He was a dragon unable to be in his true form. Until now. Three years ago, Ulrik's search brought him to Darcy, a druid from the Isle of Skye with the power to touch Dragon magic. By touching Ulrik, Darcy saw into his past and what he had endured for millennia. Compelled by curiosity and sympathy, Darcy helped the banished Dragon King to regain some of his powers back. As a druid from Skye, Darcy was held by code to never use magic to help evil. Since her powers remained, she knew she had done no wrong. What she didn't know was that by helping Ulrik she became a target. Now, as dark fae and dragon kings fight around her, Darcy will need to learn in whom to trust in order to survive. Warrick was never very good with people or dragons for that matter, but with Darcy conversations flow, his smiles come easily, and passion stirs within him. Determined to keep her from harm, he will do anything, even forfeit his own life. For the first time in the series, Dragon Kings, druids, warriors and fae wonder if there is an unknown player plotting against the kings. Constantine is sure all blame lays on Ulrik, but the others have their doubts. I'm curious to know how long it will take them to uncover the truth and fight the true foe in this battle of Titans... Darcy is sassy, smart, and kind. A diplomat at heart, she is open to both sides of every story, which gives her a fresh perspective on the war. It also exposes her and puts her in the path that will lead her to her mate. Even though Warrick never wanted a mate, he is struggling to let Darcy go. Will it be too late when he figures out what his heart wants? A seriously action-packed installment of the Dragon Kings series.
