After an accident, Elle has not only lost her eyesight but also her best friend, Kaleb. And now, knowing that Kaleb may still be alive, Elle decides to do whatever it takes to find him again. Even though it means she has to go to a different realm called Acryen, where a great adventure and monsters await her.

Starting from the first sentence, I knew I would be hypnotized by this book. Yasmin successfully created a sense of mystery from the very first page, and it made you eager to know more about the characters and the story itself. The beginning of this book easily became my favorite part, for it was captivating, engrossing and leaving you no time to catch your breath.

As for the writing, it was really direct so I could get into the story easily. Its directness helped me flip through the pages, making this a quite enjoyable read. The story somehow reminds me of Lord of the Rings, with the creatures involved and the settings. If you like to read about an epic journey with various interesting races, this book is for you!

My only problem is that sometimes this book can be confusing. Since the book follows different story lines, it may mess your head a little bit. Like you're following this group of characters at first, and when you start to get to know them better, the view changes, and you're suddenly introduced to a new group of characters. Although I love how the plots are related, it's still hard to follow them sometimes. However, I still can't wait for the sequel so I can finally see all the plots join together and this thought alone is worth all the confusions.

FULL REVIEW AS PUBLISHED ON BLOG

The author; Yasmin Fazli was kind enough to send me an ARC of her book ‘Will of Hope’ earlier this year. I’d like to thank her for giving me this beautiful piece of work to read to my heart’s pleasure. :)

This book and I had a very slow start. We didn’t really get along at first and I was playing a game of tug of war with it. Eventually, I was able to push through and actually ended up staying up until the early hours to finish it. It was so addictive. Yasmin Fazli certainly knows how to spin a tale.
You can see the potential this author has right off the bat. In the very first chapter, I loved the way she wrote the detailed prose.
There a lot of characters to get familiar with and at times the flow of the story is a bit hard to follow. But if you stick around, it definitely gets better.
The best way I can describe it: In the beginning of the story, I ran my fingers across the surface, trying to test the waters. I thought maybe the water was too cold. Well, I should have been leaping in, fl0aties and all!
I went from slumping in my chair to sitting at the edge of my seat by the end of the book! Oh, and that cliffhanger ending! My only problem with this first of a series is that it sometimes felt disconnected. Like there were some loose threads fluttering about. I still haven’t been able to put my finger on what I felt but it isn’t that much of a big deal because it doesn’t affect how I feel about this book overall.
[I had a mini heart attack when Elanore’s character was introduced. I read her name as Elle for the first couple paragraphs before I realized what I was doing.]

I grossly underestimated this book. I was expecting a mediocre protagonist without much on her mind than finding Kaleb and then getting the heck out of there. Woah, was I wrong. Elle Carlton has such a steady character development that you don’t even notice until the very end, how far she’s come.
For some odd reason, I found myself relating certain elements of the story to Lord of the rings. But the thing is, I’ve never read a single page of the LOTR series and the last time I saw any of the movies was when I was eight years old.
Usually, a lot of authors attempt to introduce the reader to this new world that they’ve built but fail to bring the right elements. Most world building is bothersome in my opinion because the writer doesn’t always grab my attention and doesn’t bring forward the detail I look for regarding this ‘brand new place’. Way too many people use the same blueprint and make minor tweaks. Acreyn is none of those things. It was beautifully described and very intriguing. I goes on to my list of epic fantasy places, among the likes of Narnia and Neverland.

Conclusion:
This book surprised me and I loved it! I am eagerly waiting to get my hands on its sequel to see where Elle finds herself next!
As for the author; she’s been incredibly patient with my ridiculous delays and was kind enough to send me the ebook in the first place. One of the best start out authors I’ve seen with such potential. I’m looking forward to what else she’ll whipping out next. I am most definitely reading it.
She’s brilliant.
Hands down, one of the best fictional books I’ve read this year.

For the Reluctant Reader:
If you’re still feeling a bit of reluctance, disregard everything. Forget the blurb and the cover and everything else. If you want to read a book packed with action, adventure, mystery, kick-ass characters, big climaxes and a lovable protagonist, look no further!

RATING: 5/5 STARS!!!

This book is hands down my favorite YA fantasy novel that I have ever read (and I have read so many books that were top sellers in this category) :D
Will of Hope takes to a land filled with danger, adventure, prophecy, magic and romance and it all starts with a girl named Elle. Elle lost her best friend Kaleb as well as her eye sight in an accident before the story starts and one day she has a visit from a mysterious stranger who tells her to go to the lake where it all begun. Little does she know that she will stumble in Acryen and that it already has her fate written out for her.
I am not going to give away spoilers BUT this book is phenomenal because the writing style is fantastic!! It reminds of the way Sabaa Tahir writes in that every sentence makes you remember it because it is written so beautifully!! Another aspect that really made me fall in love is that there are multiple POV (7-8) and you get to know each character so well which is something most third person books lack! You end up knowing each character and even ones that you don't like or can't relate to fully, they all have something to their character in which you can see yourself and that is what makes this book fabulous!! My favorite character is Enidah because I see myself in her the most but I also see myself in Elle, Asparis and that is why this book is amazing!!
This is definitely a MUST READ!!!!! I can't wait for the next book <3

I randomly stumbled upon this book when I was browsing free books on Kindle about a week ago and purchased this because it sounded interesting and it absolutely blew me away! I usually don't read YA Fantasy novels but Will of Hope is definitely a diamond in the rough and I can't wait for this Saturday when Will of Fire comes out because I am so excited to read the next one and figure out what happens.
If you love a book with adventure, magic and epic journeys, Will of Hope is for you

Will of Hope is such a confusing story for me. Overall, I had so many problems with the story, but I still think that it has a great potential and I wished it was better constructed, so I could enjoy it. But what I read wasn't so good, and I'm sad about that. The second book in the series was just released, and I'm debating if I'd like to read it or not, to see if it's better and if the world I like is accompanied by a great story.

To put it simply, the book tells us a story of groups of people that have to travel throughout Acryen. They have various reasons for that, but it all goes down to one, special girl - Elle. She is the prophecy child that all the kingdoms want to have in their possession. Elle is from Earth, and in transported to the new world by accident when she falls into the lake. The same lake her friend Kaleb fall into eight years ago and went missing. She also lost her sight at that time, but right now I'm not sure how that happened. The story at the beginning is so choppy and confusing, that I just couldn't get what is happening really. The chapters were short, and the narrator was changing its focus from one person to another, and I couldn't follow.

Anyway, Elle is transported into Acryen and some kind souls are taking care of her. There is mysterious women that seem to know a lot more that she lets on, an annoying girl who doesn't like Elle, a joyous brother of that girl, and a mysterious Peter that the village is waiting for to return. This part of the story is quite boring when I think about it after finishing the book. But at the time of reading, I was just confused and annoyed with Elle. The timeline of the events was blurry at times, sometimes it seemed like Elle was in the village for quite some time, and the next time it seemed like she just got there. There was a fight scene at the beginning, but little was described, and it focused mostly on Elle throwing a fit for no apparent reason. And she does that a lot throughout the story. Her actions have no reasoning about them that I could understand. She is the most annoying character I ever read about. I cannot stand her. You'd think that she would be more composed, and wary in a completely new world, that she didn't know existed.

Luckily, there is an abundance of characters. There are Elves, Dwarfs and many other creatures that we follow throughout the story. Each few chapters we are introduced to new characters. Pretty confusing because quite a lot of them have a name starting with 'E' - why?! There are so many characters and bits and pieces of information that they bring to the main storyline, that it is hard for me to write about it. This book was more of a description of a lot of characters and world building, not much actually happens that will take us to the main quest of the story. There is some romance thrown in there, which was really annoying to read. Some characters are traveling to places for no reason that I could understand, they just go there because they have something to do, but it doesn't bring us to anything! They just go there, do something, and then they go to another place. And they didn't have to go to that city in the first place, there wasn't anything that they have to do there. The main reason why all the characters are traveling is very vogue, and not much is said about it. Which is irritating, because I couldn't get why the fuck is everyone on the move?! Why?! What for?! The book is ending in a place, where we have absolutely no answers, but a promise of more traveling. This time one of the crews will be on a ship.

I received the book from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

ONE WORD: WOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!
Will of Hope definitely took me on an adventure that my heart needed all along but never knew about <3 I have never read a book that gave me indescribable feelings the way author Yasmin Fazli did! I was on the edge of my seat with every single page and the numerous amount of characters was just the icing on the cake and the fact that I love all of them (except Asparis she needs to chill out but she's still a badass and I like her lol). I fell in love with PJ!! Omg he is the cutest little dwarf I have ever read about and we share an obsession with muffins and Elanore, God bless Elanore!!!!!
This is definitely a must read!! I would rate it 6/5 stars if I could but Goodreads doesn't let me express myself that way haha

What a great debut Will of Hope by Yasmin Fazli is! I highly, highly enjoyed reading it.

Meet Elle Carlton, a girl who hasn’t seen light (both literally and figuratively) in eight years until the day she returns to the place where it all began, the place she thought she’d never return to, the place where she lost her beloved Kaleb. Here, Elle meets the girl that had been haunting her dreams. Elle is told that Kaleb is alive and that she has to ‘jump’ if she is willing to look for him. Elle’s hope of finding her friend leads her to the otherworldly realm of Acryen where danger hides in every corner. Will our heroine finally be reunited with Kaleb?

The story starts at the lake where the tragedy took place. We’re thrown right in the middle of the event, which was somewhat confusing at first. I loved how Fazli kept throwing clues that helped me piece together the story. This created an air of mystery that made it hard to put the book down. Once I had a clear picture of what was going on, I was in for a real treat. The characters embark on a journey in which they find themselves along the way. There is a huge difference character-wise between Elle at the start and Elle at the end of the book. I became attached to the characters fairly quickly, which allowed Fazli to play with my emotions on more than one occasion. We read from different points of view, which, again, was a bit confusing at first but became very interesting once I got to know all the characters. The way Fazli writes is effective in sparking my curiosity and I never found myself dreading chapters of any one of the characters. The story is fast-paced and left me wanting more, so I’m excited to dive into the second instalment as soon as possible. If you’re looking for a tale filled with magic, fantasy, mystery, and adventure, be sure to pick this series up as it’s a fantastic one!

Author Yasmin Fazli has a brilliant and vivid universe introduced in the Acryen series first book, Will of Hope. A careful balance is maintained within this story which features various character point-of-views throughout the chapters. Each character arc is unique and telling of Fazli's abilities to provide a fresh take on fantasy. Finishing this book left me ready to read the next one.

THE MOST AMAZING YA FANTASY I HAVE EVER READ!!!

I feel so blown away by this book that I cannot even contain my excitement for it. You have NO idea how much I fell in love with this book. Acryen is such an immense planet that I yearn to travel to!
This book is a clash between Game of Thrones and Chronicles of Narnia!

It revolves around a girl named Elle Carlton who lost her sight and best friend/lover Kaleb in an accident years ago. One day, a mysterious person who seems to know a lot more than we do, offers Elle the chance to find Kaleb. Obviously, being desperate and wanting nothing more than to be reunited with her lost love, she dives into a new world to find him. In doing so, she runs into a plethora of problems that all start with Peter, the village protector. She must follow him on a quest to find keys to their way out. What she doesn't know though is that the other kingdoms know of her arrival, and they are preparing to hunt her down for themselves.

It. Is. Incredible! The writing was so smooth and beautiful! There were so many lines I re-read because they just hit me hard. The dialogue was crisp and every time I read an argument or a confession or realization or any sort of commentary between characters, I felt as though I was watching it on the big screen.

Mrs. Fazli, thank you for showing us the world of Acryen because I CANNOT wait to see what you do with this series!

I am forever a Willer!!

******WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!******

Guys! Guys! Guys! This book is seriously one of a kind I have never read a book published by an indie house before but I am sooooooooooooo happy that I did!!
Will of Hope is about a girl named Elle who finds herself in a world called Acryen where she is told her best friend Kaleb is at (who she thought had died 8 years prior). She finds out that she is the chosen one/savior of this epic prophecy and everyone is trying to get her! She is being hunted down by the elven King Saladose who is so sketchy I want to know all of his secrets now and everyone is trying to find the human girl it's so intense! It's like in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe when the siblings find out there's this huge prophecy that basically revolves around them! But it's not just Saladose, the king of Dwarven Isle is also trying to find Elle and she goes on this journey with Peter and ends up in Engola (my favorite part of the book btw) where Peter has to fight in the blood games in order for him and Elle to survive and the romance between Elle and Peter is to die for! Every single scene they have together is magical but hilarious at the same time and I absolutely love it!!
I can't wait to see what happens next and this book definitely is 100% amazing to me! :)

Will of Hope is a good read. I have to say I was a little worried about it being too sci-fi and the length of it also worried me. Once I got over my fears and just jumped in, I was hooked. Fantasy books are always either a hit or miss with me and how much I like the story has to do with how well the author writes it. I'm happy to say Will of Hope was very well written. I was transported to the world of Acryen while reading.

Elle lost her eyesight 8 years ago. She ends up getting her eyesight back and she no longer on Earth but on Acryen. I loved Elle. She is very trusting. She is thrown into life on Acryen. We learn about Acryen life and the different words they use as Elle does, which makes the story flow nicely. She wants to find her best friend Kaleb and in the process she meets Peter. Peter is great. Elle and Peter have great chemistry.

The story is over 500 pages and the size of it scared me but there wasn't a point in the story that I got bored. Her path crosses with a lot of interesting characters. The ending left me wanting me. I can't wait to red more of Elle's story.

I would like to start by saying that I received the e-ARC of this book in turn of an honest review and this is it, this is my review of this book and I'm being a 100% honest writing it.
Omg Yasmin!! What did you do to us!! That cliffhanger is so painful!!
This book is about a girl named Elle who stumbles into the world of Acryen looking for her friend Kaleb. There are a lot of characters in this book and the author has done an amazing job in giving each of them equal importance and also in the way she brings all of them together. Coming to the world of Acryen, it's exhilarating!! I would love to go there and visit Elven City and Dwarven Isle!! The plot and the way the author writes is so captivating! It makes you want to not stop reading. I dreaded the end and I didn't want it to end at all and I read the last 10 pages for like two hours simply because I couldn't bear for the book to end!! But sadly it did.

This book was very hard for me to get into. There wasn't a whole lot of action at the beginning, though I have to admit, that it did start picking up at the end of the story. I couldn't connect with any of the characters because the author would jump from one set of characters to another. When I started a new chapter, I never knew who I would read about next. I did try really hard to like this story, but I just couldn't and it just seemed to drag on at times for me. I think the story-line would have been really awesome if I could have gotten into it. I do want to add that just because I didn't get into the story, doesn't mean someone else won't. I still give this book a four book review, because the ending was awesome for me.

The author provided me with a digital copy of the book for review purposes only. No remuneration was exchanged.

I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into reading Will of Hope, this was a new book and new to me author. After finding out that there was elves, dwarves, pixies and so much more I was hooked. The adventure these characters went on was amazing but just as it got good and juicey it ended!!! lol I want more, I need more of Elle and her friends, I need to know where they are going and what's going to happen and more importantly does she fulfill the prophecy!! Such a big journey, so many secrets and all for one person. Really loved reading this book and can't wait to see what's to come of these characters. If you love a book full of fantasies and imagination then be sure to pick this one up!!

If you love romantic yet adventurous fierce fiction young adult books you WILL definitely LOVE these ACRYEN series!!!!!!
I just fell in love with what WOH offered me! I love how our magnificent author Yasmin Fazli created this Acryen world and drove us inside it
to see its beloved good side of people and unfortunately the evil side of people as well.. I just loved how she made it seem yet fictional but in my own opinion a reality of harsh and sad issues that most of our beloved characters will have to go through and endure. But enough of the sad things I enjoyed the adventures our characters went through and the future ones they will embark soon!
I can honestly say I lovee every bit of this story and even when I am done with it I want more and more!!! <3

I absolutely fell in love with Acryen!!! My favorite is Elanore (OH ELANORE!!) and I just want to live there and be happy and help Elle on her quest and every character in this book is honestly so good that I can't even hate the ones that I don't like because I understand where everyone is coming from and their background stories (HOLY CRAP ARE THESE CHARACTERS COMPLEX FOLKS) blow me away!!
All around an amazing novel and I can't wait for Will of Fire to come out soon I am beyond excited :)

I must say I was exceptionally skeptical when I came across Will of Hope because I have a huge love for fantasy and never was too interested in YA Fantasy novels because they tend to butcher the true essence that I look for in a fantasy book. But Will of Hope is the exception to my "no YA books" rule!!! This book was the perfect cross of fantasy, adventure and just enough sci-fi to make you wish you could be transported to Acryen as well. I am really looking forward to see what Yasmin Fazli has to offer as the series continues and I am proud to say that this book surprised me in more ways that I thought possible.

This book was incredible! I was honestly leery at first of this book since it was a tad confusing, however the longer I read, the easier it became to keep everything straight. I don't think I've ever read a book told from so many different character's point of views, but it was an exciting journey. The closer I came to seeing I was almost at the end, the more I was cursing, wondering how long I'm going to be waiting for book 2!

I was contacted by the author about reviewing this book, and I said yes! I'm going to get the chance to meet the author at a book convention in a few months time, so it made sense for me to read her book before meeting her! I'm really happy I said yes to reviewing this book because it was really good! There was a lot in it and there were lots of different paranormal creatures too! It was very interesting and the paranormal creatures were different! The plot also engrossed me and I wanted to find out what was going to happen next for the characters! The plot also had a bit of a unique concept to it, and because of this, I found myself having to read every word to make sure that I understood everything that was going on lol! There was also some romance, action and suspense in the plot too! I do have to say though that I did think that the plot dried up quite a bit as it progressed! I found myself starting to skip and skim pages because there was a lot of description in them and I could still understand what was going on! Overall, I did like the plot and its development! There were also quite a lot of characters in this book! This did start to confuse me quite a bit as there were so many names to remember and most of the names were unique, but all the characters were awesome! Some characters were good and some were evil characters, but you also weren't really sure who you could trust! I would say that Elle was the main character, and she was a girl that had been through a lot and then went through even more in this book! She entered a different realm and she didn't know anyone and she didn't know the rules and such! I did feel sorry for Elle, but she handled everything so well and she fitted in well and met new people and made new friends! She grew a lot as the plot progressed too! Peter was the love interest of Elle, and he was a guy who was protective of her, but also had some secrets from her! I don't want to say too much about him because I might write potential spoilers, but he was a very intriguing character and I really liked him! There were also a lot of secondary characters in this book and it would take me this full review to name them all lol! They were all awesome though, even though quite a few of them couldn't be trusted lol! This book was written from quite a few different point of views! I normally prefer a book to only be written from two different point of views at most, but this book was written from five or more point of views! This did confuse me a lot as there were lots of different things going on in each point of view, but they all started to connect as the book progressed! I also felt at times like I was reading three different books, which I also didn't really like! I felt like some point of views weren't as necessary as others! Even though I didn't love this book as much as I was expecting too, I am going to read the next book when it releases! I know it releases next month, so I'm happy I've read this book now! The cover for this book suits it so well! It suits what happens in the book and it does make more sense after you read the book! Big thank you to Yasmin for a copy of Will of Hope!

I had trouble keeping track of the different kingdoms and characters. So many was thrown at you at once and it kept jumping quickly from character group to character group. I was never able to connect with any of the characters because of this. The flow of the book just made it hard to follow along with the story. I received a free copy of this book and it in no way influenced my review.
