Another classic Romantic Suspense from Debra Webb.
This is a story about a woman who owns a cleaning company that takes care of cleaning gory death sites and/or hoarding houses after the owner dies or leaves. The heroine finds something of significant value at a supposed suicide site She notifies her cop friend, who says he's taking it to a computer nerd friend before he brings it into the police lab. Suddenly, people start dying and the heroine is being watched by an "agent" she has never seen before. That's when things get even more interesting and the roller-coaster ride keeps dipping and turning until the very end!

This book could have been really good if it had been longer. As it was, the ending seemed rushed. Wyatt and Alex aren't even introduced until half way through the book then all of a sudden they're involved and he's decided to retire from the CIA.
When the story starts out, Alex is called upon to clean up a crime scene. It's part of what she does at her business Never Happened. She cleans up other people's messes. In this case, a man killed himself, or so it seems, and there's a lot of blood. So she comes in to make it all go away. The detective on the case is her former lover, Hitch who's been wanting to get back with her. He's a great guy but she doesn't want a commitment of any kind. At forty years of age, she's past the point of needing a man in her life. She dates occasionally but concentrates mainly on her business. They talk while Alex waits for the man's body to be removed from the scene. Once everyone is gone, including Hitch, she gets to work.
What She finds is the basis of the plot. It's an eyeball, the dead man's eyeball which must have popped out when he shot himself in the head. What's on the eye itself is a very weird looking contact lens. Certain she's stumbled upon something important, Alex calls Hitch. He comes back and gets it, telling Alex he's going to take it to a friend of his to have it analyzed. Later that night he calls Alex and tells her it's loaded with classified government information and he's going to turn it in the next day. However, he never gets a chance to as he's killed in a car accident shortly after talking with Alex.
While the police believe Hitch simply fell asleep at the wheel, Alex doesn't think so. He sounded perfectly fine when she talked to him. Excited, in fact. Then his friend who analyzed the lens dies when his house blows up. Coincidence? Alex is positive that wasn't the case and vows to find out what is going on. That's when Wyatt enters the picture. All he wants to do is keep her safe, he assures her, which is why he's been following her. He urges her to give him the lens but she isn't certain she can trust him. I won't tell you how she got it back so as not to give anything away, but suffice it to say her life is in danger. Some very bad people want what is on the lens and will stop at nothing to get it, even murder.
As I said, I really enjoyed the plot. It had kind of a James Bond sort of feel to it and the characters were the kind you'd like to know more about, but it's shorter length didn't do it justice. Even so I'm glad I read it. You might want to try it too.

El principio me gustó y lo empecé con muchas ganas. La protagonista era muy interesante y madura. Sin embargo, conforme ha ido avanzando me ha empezado a aburrir y algunas cosas que hacía me parecían un poco ridículas. La relación amorosa me ha dejado fría. Una de las cosas que más me estaban gustando es que parecía que ella era muy independiente, con una vida sexual activa y daba la impresión de que no tenía pareja estable porque no había encontrado un hombre que mereciera la pena. Al final, resulta que no. La escritora prefirió convertirlo en una fobia al compromiso. Algunas partes del libro eran un poco repetitivas (¿cuántas veces tenía que recordarnos que su ex amante había muerto?).

Such as the ME and the detectives the forensics unit, which will gather the physical evidence at the crime scene. Then the forensic laboratory, will analyze the evidence. After they release the crime scene then Alex, job being where she has to clean everything up.
Wyatt Murphy, is a CIA agent who is in the middle of a government investigating of something that was taken, and he is tying to retrieve it. It is new technology that the government need to get back at all cost before it falls into the wrong hands.
In the meantime Alex found something at the suppose suicide site. She notifies a cop friend of hers of what she found at the site that looked odd to her. WHAT SHE DOESN’T SEE is a fast moving mystery with a spy theme. The book is about Alexis (Alex) Jackson, is a founder of a cleaner service which specialize in crime scene cleanup. Alex discovers a false eye at a crime scene which turns out to be a high-tech device of some sort. The story line is full of intrigue and suspense as with the death of her friend with whom she gave the device to. Alex is grieving and decides to prove her friend was murdered.
Wyatt Murphy, a CIA agent, must find the gadget, and keep it from terrorists. Alex soon meets Wyatt and as the book becomes more intense, the pace is faster and keeps you on edge to the very end of the book. Wyatt believes Alex of being part of the group looking for the gadget.

Wyatt’s personal interest in Alex is increasing and she feels the same which adds to the story line. The terrorists kidnap Alex and her mother to force Alex to give them the gadget. When I pick up a Debra Webb book I expect to read a great book and every time I get what I expect. I loved What She Doesn't See. This book was a bit different from Webb's usual books because the main male character was a CIA agent so that threw me for a second but once I got over who Wyatt worked for I really liked this handsome agent. As for the Alex character her profession of cleaning up after death and things last like that is something I could never do but I found her absolutely fascinating. Anyone who could do that job would be a person I would love to sit down and just talk too and her views on relationships was also very interesting to say the least.
As for the plot of the book I also highly enjoyed that. It was very steadily paced and action filled. There was never a dull moment in this book from the mess Alex got into with the device she found to some of the jobs she had to clean up. I am not going to give details for spoiler reasons but this woman did not have a dull moment.
With all that said, I am going to highly recommend this book and give it five out of five stars.

Alexis Jackson has built up a business that allows her to be independent, just the way she likes it. Never Happened, her clean up service, specializes in murder scenes, suicides or any other scene that no one else wants to deal with. Alex is good at her job. When she is cleaning up from an apparent suicide she find a high tech contact lens that is missed by the police. She calls a detective and close friend with the police and he comes and gets the evidence. Next thing she knows he is dead in an automobile accident. Suspicious events surround his death, but Alex is the only one who has all the facts and she is not convinced it was a simple accident. The police think she is in denial about his death and won't listen to her. She is determined to find out the truth about her friends death, but who can she trust? A handsome agent who shows up looking for the device? Is he a good guy or a bad guy? Another good romantic suspense from Debra Webb.

Alex Jackson is a cleaner by profession but likes to do investigative work on the side. So, after finding an unusual item at the scene of a murder being called a suicide, Alex contacts her friend Hitch who is a Detective with the Miami Beach Police Department who was at the scene earlier. She tells him about her find and turns it over to him. After more bodies start piling up Alex is sure there is something else going on and doesn't know who to trust. She wonders what she found and why it seems so important and deadly. Should she trust the handsome Wyatt Murphy who keeps turning up everywhere and wants to get his hands on what she found?
What She Doesn’t See is a page-turner full of mystery and intrigue. I loved the interesting characters, the story and the loyalty Alex shows toward people she cares about. Another great book by the talented Debra Webb.

Debra Webb is one of my favorite authors, and What She Doesn't See doesn't disappoint. This book had a very interesting technology-related plot twist, and I loved the overall feel of the book, sort of a cross between a thriller and a spy novel. I highly recommend reading any of Debra Webb's book, and for my friends who love murder mysteries and spy thrillers, you'll love this book!September 1, 2016
I'm a big fan of Debra Webb but this book was a miss for me. It would have had a lot of potential if it had been longer. At this length, I wish she had just cut out the romance aspect. It was so rushed and felt completely unbelievable. The couple doesn't even meet until halfway through the book. They barely talk, sleep together once, and apparently they now love each other. The mystery had promise but the rest just took away from it.

Alex Johnson has her own business as a clean up person. As she is cleaning up her latest crime scene, she finds a unique contact lens. She gives it to the cop at the scene and he brings it to his tech friend. The next morning her cop friend is dead and the tech's house has exploded. Now will they come after her? And who can she trust to help her? This is a great, fast read. It doesn't disappoint!

I find it hard to like a book where the H/hr don't meet until at least halfway, yet have some sort of instant-lust connection when they finally do. The case had an interesting build-up, until it sort of fell apart at the end when it was all abruptly solved and cleaned up, almost as though the author had tired of it and was impatient to wrap the story up.

this is another winner for Debra Webb I highly recommend this book u will never see the ending coming and I will be reading this one again . I try to get my hands on any suspense novels debra writes and I am so glad I do. you will not be disappointed with this book.

Anytime I pick up a Debra Webb book, I know I am in for a great read! This book is no exception. It is fast paced, never dull, and kept my attention through to the end. Absolutely loved it!
