Fascinating book for anyone interested in the history of the Lewis and Clark expedition, and Especially for anyone medical.

This was a good summary of the expedition and the medical issues involved, but I would read this after I’ve read Dr. Peck’s book, “Or Perish in the Attempt”, which goes into detail about the medicines of the expedition.
