In Veiled Obsession (book 1) a broken and lonely damsel, Haley was rescued by a Knight in shining armor, resort developer and real estate mogul Jude Macknight After fairytale wedding, damsel Haley felt the walls of their kingdom closing in and tried to release the drawbridge. Her Knight in rusted armor turned into a beast which threatened their happily-ever-after.

Dangerous Intentions (book 2) has damsel Haley rescued by another Knight and he looks to be her prince. Her beast of husband, Jude has dangerous intentions. Set on winning back her heart he goes to gruesome lengths to catch her attention, leaving a trail of dead bodies and the sheriff in hot pursuit….
I am still not clear if Jude Macknight is her true prince charming or forever the beast. Eleven words to describe Jude: Commanding, nurturing, possessive, irrational, obsessive, controlling, demanding, complex, broken, volatile and ruthless.

Phew. What a ride! Jude is back and things are about to get ugly!
In the second installment of His Agenda, we finally get to know more about Jude and Haley. We get to see how Haley needed Jude's assistance in the first place and we get a glimpse into what really happened the night that changed Haley's life forever.
With the help of Dustin, Haley will fight against her greatest fear; Jude and his sick mind.
We get to experience how Jude slowly spirals out of his thin control and everything comes together into the ultimate battle.
I loved everything about the book. It was edgy, suspenseful and extremely exciting. Our insight to Jude's quite disturbing head was amazingly creepy!
I cannot wait for the final book.
If you loved the first book, you will surely like this one as well.

Holy moly, this book is AWESOME!
Haley has finally escaped the evil hands of Jude. Escaping was the easy part and with a little help form another knight, Dustin, she must find a way to finally escape Jude for good. This will be the last time she escapes and she knows if she doesn't succeed, death is the only outcome.
Not wanting to put Dustin in any more danger than he already has put himself in helping her, she tries to push him away.
(yes this has the wrong title on it, but it is apart of the His Agenda Series, my bad.)
Dustin is not letting go to fight Jude on her own. She walked away from him once, so many years ago. That will NOT happen again.
Dustin takes Haley to his ranch out in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin. This will give her some time to recover from the nightmare she has been living. A little fresh air and time to breath. Together, they need to come up with a plan. Time is not on their side and both know that Jude will not let her go so easily.
With a little help from Dustin's private investigator brother, they find the information they need to finally take matters into their hands. The secrets that are unfolded shock everyone. They finally have the information they need to go after Jude with the help of law enforcement.
Jude is a smart man, their plans are about to be rattled to the core.
Haley thought she had to fight before, that will be nothing compared to her face to face with Jude.

Can you say Mindf***! Wow- I thought Dori had blown me away with His Agenda which is Book one in the series, but boy did she take it much further in this one! Like explosions, well not exactly but that's how my heart was beating as I kept flipping through the pages like a little explosive bomb waiting to burst and it DID! The twists in this one I totally did not see coming and she kept me wondering how it would play out until the end. I love how the characters in her book always seem to crossover in one way or another and I found that pleasantly surprising. The story moved at a great pace and with the way this story turned out at the end it leaves me pondering what we are going to be surprised with next. The characters are very relate-able and love-able. You can feel emotion coming through the pages from them. All in all this was an epic continuation of Jude and Haley's story and I can say no more with out getting into the gory details SO I will leave it at that and let you draw your own conclusions.

Without question, this series is now considered one of my very favorites of Dark Romance!
Ms. Lavelle nailed the first book with her characters and a plot that blows your mind and then proceeded to continue this WOW-factor in her sequel - Dangerous Intentions.
After every page I turned, I literally saw myself anticipating something as if I was watching an intense horror movie. This series takes you on a serious ride of ups and downs, twists and turns and you can never forget the big, steep hill! "Hold On To Your Hats" - Although don't be fooled because there are subplots that are turning into or could be turning into major ones which make for an even more interesting journey.
I could truly say so much more about this book but I dare not give away any spoilers because you need to experience this yourself I'll just leave this review with one question that I have..
Do you believe or not?? (you'll know what I'm talking about after you've read it)

The fact that there is a book 3 tells me that we're in for some more twists! If you like to read about psycho anti-heroes, then this book may be for you.
I actually liked this book. I liked being in Jude's head. He was so cray cray but it worked. I was in constant anticipation of what he would do next. His complex and warped thought process was pretty funny and I was on my toes wondering what kind of evil deed he would concoct.
Haley still annoyed me. Her thought process was less than intelligent. She kept talking about getting back her life. Ummmmm. What life?! She had no real plan and that irked me. And instead of making real use of her support network, she kept screaming for independence. TSTL-syndrome in full effect.
I'm about to start book 3 and I'm busy trying to figure out exactly what the twist will be. I think I have an idea and a huge part of me hopes I'm right! Thank you Kindle Unlimited for providing me with the opportunity to read this series!

This was good but not as good as book one!!Jude is a psychotic freak (and I don't mean in the sheets either)! I have a feeling Haley's terror has just begun! I think Nolan's sick ass is going to terrorize her life way worse now that Psycho is gone! I can't help but wonder... WHY DIDN'T HALEY HAVE A GUN? If it were me, I'd have one in my hands at all times!
I hope Dustin can rock Haley's world! He's a great guy but he would be perfect if he can bring some serious game to the bedroom!

Hmmm... Where to start? Where to start?
Let's start with the three main characters of this book.
-> JUDE: In book 1, I actually liked his character a lot until he changed and became a monster. I somewhat understood why he was like that, but in this second volume, I got more details. I really liked reading about a bad character's past. It's something that interest me a lot.
-> HALEY: I loved reading about her! I put myself in her position the whole time I was reading and I felt really really scared all the time because I felt like Jude was always around watching her. I was reading this book around midnight and my heart was beating faster than it normally does, you have no idea. I love that kind of feeling though. I know I probably said this already, but I'm always amazed by how words can make you feel all sorts of emotions. That's why I love reading and writing.
-> DUSTIN: I LOVE HIM TO DEATH! Do I need to say more? Hahah. Seriously, he's perfect. I love him like I loved the other main male characters in Dori Lavelle's other books. He was just ahhh *swoon*

I loved the first book 'VEILED OBSESSION' and loved this second book as much. I'm liking the story so far and I'm actually curious to know what will happen in the third book, because I feel like the major problem of this story was already solved. I guess we'll just see.

Most of time, the sequel of a very good first book isn't that spectacular, but this one is not one of those.

Why is everything suddenly so easy? Is this a set up to give her a false sense that the time for escape is now? Is Jude watching her from his office, thinking of all the terrible punishments he will deliver? There's only one way to find out.
Haley is running from the monster that's held her captive for years. His twisted illusion of a marriage will kill her if she doesn't find a way out fast. Jude is doing everything in his power to keep Haley tied very securely to his side. Now his obsession has included a baby to round out their happy home.
How much more time will she have?
Thankfully the car she's hiding in belongs to someone that will do anything to protect her, but it might not be enough.
I LOVED this book. Dori Lavelle can spin a story that keeps you glued to it. This series is at the top of my dark read list.

This book hooked ne from the second I started reading it. I couldn't stop reading it, till the very end. This is book 2 in the His Agenda series. It continues Haley's story, after she succeds in escaping from her abusive, obsessive, domineering husband. What I liked the most about this story, is how Haley changes and transforms into a stronger, more confident woman by the end of this book. I enjoyed continuing reading the dark story of Haley and Jude, and am looking forward to book 3 (?).

You don't realise how scary Jude is until you start turning all the lights on in the house.

This was defiantly a wild ride that you will have trouble putting down. The author gives you some very heartbreaking writing that deals with some major abuse. This is a great addition to this series. I was so glad in the last book that Haley got away from the monster she married in this one the author puts on her thinking cap and gives you a very suspenseful read. Murder, rape, the hunter becomes the hunted or does he.
Haley is still leaving in fear she might have escaped her husband and ran away but he is on the hunt for her. Harley does grow as a character as she gets back somewhat to her old self. This time she will stand to fight to the last drop of blood. It was nice to finally see her take the bull by the horn as she pulls him down a peg or two. I didn’t feel as sorry for her in this book as I did in the first one that might be because she is a stronger person here. There are secrets that come out, she finally has to go to the police even knowing she might be going to jail herself for killing a man. It will be worth it Jude must be taken down at any cost it just isn’t her life anymore that he is playing with. Haley gets a few shocks as the story goes along I was glad to see that some of them ended the way they did. I feel I would have felt the same way but I do believe I would have run for the hills making sure I past a doctor’s office on the way.
Dustin become a major role player here as her protector and the man that still loves her. I really liked him as a character he is strong, caring and loving. I didn’t feel the pull between him and Harley but I am not sure the author meant us to. They were once lovers and now friends but I am not sure they will ever become a couple.
We do get to know more about Jude and watch as he spirals out of control trying to gain control of his life as he makes plans to get Haley back. He is holding a few cards close to his chest and has been for years. I expect this from the first book and as we go into the second one I was sure of it. I am not sure we have seen the last of him yet. Either he or his brother will be back in the next book. Yes, Yes I know how this book ends…just saying. It was nice to see more into his crazy mind as he takes his pain out on other women in hopes to bring Haley back into line. This is really one messed up man who really needs to die, heck I am willing to pull the trigger if no one else wants to. The author makes sure he isn’t a character we will like there is no way anyone could ever feel sorry for this man who hates life and will kill those he said he loves.
I did have one issue with the lighter I am not sure if you throw one it would have happen as the author writes but I could be wrong. There were times my heart was in my thought and thought OMG take that man out please. For me by the time I got to the middle of the book it was a page turner for sure. I really enjoyed seeing how Jude thought and how through his mind he was doing it all for love. I loved the ranch life and how the author pulled the farm animals into the story. Raised on a farm it brought back some wonderful memories of feeding the calves and lambs.
I have read many books by this author as she takes me to the darker side of life it has been a suspenseful ride that had me holding my breath. I had no good feelings for Jude and felt he got what he deserved or at least I hope he has. The author gives a wonderful story that will hold your interest. I do highly recommend you read book one before you start this one. I found I was a little lost and had to go back to retouch on a few things in book one to make things a little clear. Ms. Lavelle always gives you a well written story that keeps you guessing. Once you get a taste of her style I am sure just as I you will want to read more of her work.

WOW!!! Ms. Lavelle has continued on in fine fashion. As a reader, I hope that each book of a series grabs me on its own. And I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt….Dangerous Intentions certainly grabbed me and did not let go until the final word was read. I suggest that if you have not read book 1 of the series, Veiled Obsession, that you do so before reading this second book in the series. I know I went and re-read it, just to make sure I remembered the characters to their fullest.
The story of Hayley and Jude continue with Hayley having finally escaped the marital home and Jude. She is safe….or so says Dustin (Hayley’s wealthy, ex – high school beau) who assisted in the escape and is now putting Hayley up in his ranch. The hard work is now upon Hayley…how to proceed with her life to fully extricate herself from her abusive marriage. She has endured unimaginable atrocities (you will have to read book one and two yourself….I am not spoiling anything ☺). Frankly, everything Hayley has had to put up with at the hands of Jude had me shivering…
The twists and turns were both unexpected and yet expected. Unexpected in that I was taken aback by what was happening, but expected in that Jude is a truly evil guy! The development of each character added depth, which surprised me, given the length of the book. Actually…I take that back….it did not surprise me because Ms. Lavelle is a truly gifted writer!!!!
A few characters were introduced…one being Nolan. He had an integral part in this story. I am anticipating that his role is still to be developed further in book 3…though that is just my conjecture given that I did not sense closure with respect to this character. Is Nolan truly as depraved as Jude? What is his relationship with Jude? Good questions and at least one is answered in the book. Another character – Grace – was also introduced. I found her relatable and would be fascinated to learn more about her as I felt her true depth was not 100% explored in this book….but I shall see :)
The pace of the story kept me engaged throughout and in fact; I read it all in one sitting, without looking up or stopping for anything or anyone! And when I finished, I just sat there thinking WOW.I can’t help but wonder…. how will the third book in this series play out? Where will Ms. Lavelle take this story? Who is featured? I shall wait (and probably NOT patiently) for the next book in the “His Agenda” series – Broken Illusions.
Dori Lavelle – thank you for penning a truly gripping, dark story. Not generally a genre I would read – but very glad I am. Your talent seems to know no bounds. I can’t wait to read the conclusion to this series.

I found her relatable and would be fascinated to learn more about her as I felt her true depth was not 100% explored in this book….but I shall see :)
The pace of the story kept me engaged throughout and in fact; I read it all in one sitting, without looking up or stopping for anything or anyone! And when I finished, I just sat there thinking WOW.I can’t help but wonder…. how will the third book in this series play out? Where will Ms. Lavelle take this story? Who is featured? I shall wait (and probably NOT patiently) for the next book in the “His Agenda” series – Broken Illusions.
Dori Lavelle – thank you for penning a truly gripping, dark story. Not generally a genre I would read – but very glad I am. Your talent seems to know no bounds. I can’t wait to read the conclusion to this series.

Oh Jude is a bad, bad, naughty, naughty boy! How will he ever redeem himself after the terrible things he's confessed to in book 2? Question of this lifetime: Jude MacKnight who and what are you????
At the end of book one, Haley successfully escapes Jude and their dysfunctional and sham of a marriage. After Haley's first failed attempt at freedom and the repercussions of that attempt, Jude was positive Haley would never try to escape again. Book 2 -Not only does she escape, she's gone for 32 days! What Jude does to commemorate each day she is not with him is sick, twisted, and unforgivable!
What do we find out in book 2- crazy is a rather tame word to describe Jude. Jude MacKnight is not Haley's husband real name. Nolan is Jude's biological brother. There is more between Haley and Dustin than we were led to believe in book 1. Last but not least, Jude knew about Haley hiding the BC pills and he switched the pills out for sugar pills (not sure what but that's my spin on the pill issue) and boom!!! Haley is preggo! She's hiding from Jude the fool, the father of her baby, and living with Dustin.
What is it about Jude that doesn't allow us to completely hate him and wish him dead? We know he is a deranged psychopath but yet there is a sliver of something that inspires empathy for him. I don't believe we've seen the last of Jude despite what we've read in book 2...the barn situation seems too neat and tidy.
This series is FANTABULOUS (yep Jude inspires me to create words because he's special) and it will definitely keep you guessing with the twists and turns! Dangerous Intentions is a great read and will definitely satisfy you until book 3 is released.
Five stars because on the low low I hope Jude will emerge and all of this will be a dream and he'll prove he's really a nice guy. I simply can't hate him....not yet.

Wow!!! Dori blew me away this book, if I could give 100+ stars for such a brilliantly written thriller I would.

Dangerous Intentions by Dori Lavelle is the second book in her new trilogy His Agenda. While still VERY dark and VERY twisty, this book was slightly less dark and twisty than the first.

Now that Haley has been rescued from Jude's estate by none other than her childhood sweetheart Dustin Brannon (a hottie we have met in other books by Dori) she has a decision to make. What will her next move be? She knows in her heart that Jude will NEVER stop searching for her or hurting her - it's only a matter of time.
How willing is she to gamble with the clock?
Haley is so relieved to be back in Dustin's presence but is also fearful for the danger she is bringing to his doorstep. Dustin, however, is determined to uncover the Haley he loved so many years ago that is cowering underneath the woman she has been forced to become. As strong as she has been to make it through the horrors Jude has exacted upon her, she needs to become even stronger when she realizes that she will always be tied to him, irrevocably.

Nothing will stop Jude from finding Haley! His obsession has now turned to full-blown madness and no one is safe. As far as Jude is concerned, Haley will come back to him. He is sending "messages" to her that she will not be able to ignore. She will come back begging him to take her back. This man is delusional!
Haley has now escaped from under Jude's control. The only problem - she knows Jude will never give up trying to find her. She is terrified of her own shadow!
As this story evolved, I could not help myself feeling so sorry for what Haley is going through. Even from far away, Jude still exerts his influence on her life. His sick mind will forever haunt her at night. The nightmares are but a replay of the torture she experienced at his hand.

This is the second book in the His Agenda Series. The first book Veiled Obsession needs to be read first. This is a dark read that will that will have you on the edge of your seat.
Haley has escaped but can she hid from Jude? Will he find her? and if he does what will happen?
I won't give any spoilers but I will tell you that you are on the edge of your seat waiting for the answers to these questions. I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Haley is living scared but Dustin is trying to make her feel safe and protect her. Jude won't give up on his wife. As the story progresses he gets more and more dangerous.
Dark, angst, suspense, anticipation, these are all of the feelings you will have as this story progresses. This story flows well and keeps you on your toes. The danger lurks around every corner and you don't know what to anticipate next. Twist and turns keep coming. This did wrap up some questions but still leaves more to come. It left me waiting and anticipating some big twists and turns coming in the next book.
Ms. Lavelle writes a smooth flowing dark read. Another great series by her.

The word that comes into my mind after finishing this book is WOW! What a roller coaster ride of emotions that was! Dori Lavelle has done it again!!! My head is still spinning from all the twists and turns in this book...
The second installment of the His Agenda series will answer many questions of ours. We will finally have the opportunity to know more about Jude and Haley. The mystery surrounding that unfortunate night when Jude helped Hayley will be uncovered. Though Hayley is terrified of Jude, she is prepared to do anything to be free from his unhealthy obsession, with the help of Dustin.
We get to see how Jude loses his grasp from reality and to what extent he will go to possess what he considers to be his in his depraved mind. I absolutely loved this book. DANGEROUS INTENTIONS is one hell of a ride! I cannot wait to read the conclusion to this amazingly beyond creepy story- I'm just addicted to Jude!

OMG!!! OMG!!! This is the second book in the seris and it was intense, intriguing, wicked, and dark!!
You finally really get to dive into what happened to Jude!! that made him such A sick twisted man. This book has so many twist and turns!! Jude is one of those characters that you just kind of can't help but wanna know more about and how his sick and twisted mind works it was very well written that you get an understanding and you get into his head!!
Haley, wow she has been through alot I loved her character and I connected with her and everything she was truly going through I really loved her connection with! Dustin, was undeniable and thier relationship was sweet I really enjoyed it! Some light to the dark she has went through!

Wow what a read. Is Jude really who he says he is? Will Haley ever be free if him?
This is the second book in His Agenda series we find out more about the night Haley first met Jude. But what she doesn't know is he has been watching her for a while. And her predicament has put her right in his arms. We find a little bit about Jude's past and what made him the man he is today.
With prostitutes being murdered Haley has pieced it together and now she feels she has no option but to go to the police and if she goes to jail for murder but Dustin is on hand to help and with the help of his pi brother Cole they find some things out about who Jude really is and with the end game being Haley.
Another great readjust s pity for the wait for the next book.

Omg!! I floved this book so much!! An amazing continuation to a fabulous series. So where do I even start with this book. It was beautifully written and full of suspense. I almost felt like I was in the story with Haley looking over my shoulder to see if Jude was there.
I completely underestimated the level of obsession we were dealing with. Is it weird that the whole time I just wanted Haley to go back to Jude? Not sure why but I feel like all of Jude's actions are driven by something good inside him. Or maybe it's just me lol
Anyways... Absolutely brilliant read!! I could not stop reading even if I wanted to (which I didn't). The one thing I will say is that this book will make you want to sleep with the light on. Soo...fair warning lol

Beyond BRILLIANT. Dori had done it again, she's a amazing writer who can just trap you right into the story. Harleys run away from Jude, will Jude find her?..... You see more of both pasts in this and it's bone chilling. It will definitely have you on the edge of your seat. You can't even imagine where it's going. This is one of the best series this year, so dark, so edgy, so gripping. There needs to be more stars 5 isn't enough. This series has me hooked. One warning this series is highly addictive. If you read one and loved it, you will definitely love the continuation of this amazing tale. Dori had become one of my favorite authors after this. 100 stars.

omg just fantastic started where it finished once again absolutely blow away. In this book we find out more about haleys childhood, haleys mother the alcoholic and prostitute. Then there's judes abusive childhood at the hands of his father and the children's home. I'm not going to spoil it for the reader but there's twists and turns, thought out this book you'll be gripped from start to finish looking forward to the concluding book 3 .

Frankly, everything Hayley has had to put up with at the hands of Jude had me shivering…

Omg she has done it again Dori such an amazing story.

Then the unthinkable thing happened she knocked oil over in the barn took his lighter and set it alight.

Ok, this one was slightly less dark than the first one BUT that does not mean that it was not good, because it was great!!
I have to confess that I'm always attracted to the bad ones, but this time it was hard to feel more than hate for Jude. Hate-Love-Hate-Love. Yes, in a very very twisted way I could say he was sexy but no, I could not love him.
Haley has been rescued, but she is still in danger. In order to survive Jude, Haley needed to be strong, being afraid of the devil was not an option.
I have yet to get more about Dustin, I mean, I like the guy, he is a keeper but, even tho I DON'T LOVE JUDE, I don't love Dustin either. Haley is the one who has my love right now. Maybe that is going to change in the next book.
Hope there is a HEA for Haley, the girl deserves it, but knowing Dori, you never know. The woman is mean and she is proud of it.
