Fivefold Sanctification
‘No believer is perfect’. Of course not! And yet... every sinner, the moment he believes, is perfect. Indeed, he has been perfect from eternity past, he has been perfected in the death and resurrection of Christ, is being perfected in life, but will only be made perfect in glory. So the Bible teaches. Replace the word ‘perfect’ with ‘sanctified’ and you have what this book is about. The child of God is sanctified in God’s decree in eternity, sanctified in the work of Christ, is sanctified the moment he believes, is being sanctified throughout the rest of his life, and will be sanctified when Christ returns.
