This book is a nice brief look into raising livestock. It had a good foundation, without becoming too technical. If it had included color photographs and diagrams, I probably would have rated it 4 stars. I would recommend this book to people who are newly exploring the idea of raising animals, not to those who have already done some preliminary research.
great, easy read with a lot of pertinent information including facilities, common diseases, conformation, breeding, butchering, etc. I would recommend additional reading on any specific animal you choose to raise, but this is a great first book to read when considering raising livestock.
