Or will faces from the past make this even more tricky then either of them thought? THIS BOOK CONTAINS MANY SEX SCENES AND SHOULD ONLY BE READ BY A MATURE AUDIENCE ) 18+
I enjoyed the story. It was not your usual take on an arranged marriage among shifters. They were not from the same clan or even the same species and their marriage was arranged to unite the clans and prevent war among the clans.
Alan is a lion shifter who works in a bar as a bouncer. He likes simple things and loves his motorcycle. He is the liaison for the clan and not happy to bring the news of the arranged marriages to his friends who are also presented with a note about the mate selected for them.
Anastasia is very different for Alan. She is a wolf shifter who is used to servants and a much higher class of living. She tends to speak before thinking and hurt Alan's feelings.
They do both try hard to make it work and Alan starts seeing a new side to Anastasia. You see them slowly fall in love. Just when things seem settled, a surprise from the past comes back to haunt them. You see a very different Anastasia as she deals with that issue and you realize she is not just a spoiled, rich girl.
I like when an author takes time to develop a relationship along with the sexual chemistry. I want to get to know them and like them and this author did a good job of that. I would like to know more about Alan's past and why he is such a loner without much female companionship. His friends are interesting too and I look forward to hearing their stories of how they make it work with their mates. I did notice the author likes to focus on bodily fluids a lot which was a little odd during those encounters.
fleeing a destined marriage to an abusive wolf a wolf princess promises herself to a lion to keep peace between the clans. the male wolf comes after her. HEA prevails as does true love. shadow to shadow.
This was a very well-written, descriptive story that was both interesting and intriguing and the plot was quite exceptional. Sent to Cedarhaven as a child, Kyle has never been interested in his family’s wealth; it set him apart and alienated him from the rest of the community – but Kyle wanted his own empire and his father was not going to allow that. Promised to Krista in an arranged marriage, a tradition for centuries to ensure peace among the Clans, they find they have quite a lot in common, particularly their early childhood; it was as if they filled a void in each other – she soothing his dark dreams when her coyote spoke to him. When Kyle’s invention disappears, as well as Krista, Kyle has to confront Krista’s grandmother, the Maven of the House of Roseblood, a white tiger and true killer, and listen to the treachery and betrayal that has been instigated against him by her and his father – Krista and he merely pawns in their plan. Her grandmother, thinking Krista is weak soon realises that is not the case; and Krista is finally free. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and would have no hesitation in recommending it. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Alan and Anastasia have been paired in an arranged marriage to prevent war between the clans. As the representative for the ruling counsel he cannot even voice objection when he announces the same fate to his two friends.
His bride to be appears to be a spoiled, wealthy, gorgeous wolf shifter, perhaps better suited to his billionaire friend. But she is his, and is she in for a shock. No servants. Life changing living for her. Is Alan ready for this? There is attraction but who should make the first move? She seems to be hiding something and can't bring herself to tell him.
Will her secret prevent them from keeping the counsels mandate? Can they really come together, and can it be a happy union?
Read and enjoy the coming of age and awareness of these two and what they do and become. Interesting characters and mix of shifters. It is a short with a satisfying ending and enough steam to heat of up the pages. A recommend.
I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Lilly Pink.
Alan is a go between for the shifter clan Cedarhaven and the Council. Now Alan is getting an arranged marriage to keep peace. Anastasia of the Stormfang Cloud shifter clan has to learn things she has never know before in order to make this marriage work.
This book has a great story line and wonderful characters for any reader to enjoy. The author gave the characters very good interaction.
This book is for any mature paranormal romance book reader.
This was a very nice, sweet and easy read. Alan and Anastasia were the opposites of each other but like most people that is sometimes for the best. It worked out that way for them. They worked through them and came out stronger together.
not a regular paranormal and instead of the man saving the day, the woman did. not every book when a woman shifter gets to fight her own battles. a definite plus for me.
