With great power, comes great... er... celebrity! Now that the world believes Greg to be a superhero, everyone wants a piece of him -- the League of Defenders, Hugo Boss, his roommate, groupies, Hollywood agents, uber-villains, and his mom. Some want to put him on a pedestal. Others want to bury him under one!Collects issues #5-10.
This was a blast. The fist volume was just a warmup for this being the main event. Funnier, more in-depth storytelling, and more pages to flip through. The art was about the same in quality as the first, but I'm pretty sure it was a different artist (too lazy to check...). Different writer too (hence the better overall read). It's really probably only a 4 star book, but I gave the first 4 because I really liked the goofy concept, so I gotta give this one the extra twinkler. If you liked the first one, jump right in to this; you're gonna dig it. I just wish there was more to come... -growls frustratingly-
A fake superhero in LA? Who'da thunk, right? This is one seriously funny book. Greg is as hapless as they come, and his family puts the fun in dysfunctional. And then there's Barry, the best and worst roommate and sidekick ever. I truly believe that if you don't love this book, you don't love superhero books. Or you're dead or something.
