The three stories were great, but I felt somewhat cheated because Adventures in Friendship isn't a separate series. It is actually a re-packaging of the Friends Forever series.

If you strongly prefer hardback or are only interested in certain stories, Adventures in Friendship is fine. If you want somewhat taller and wider pages, the original Friends Forever compilations are better. But if you want value, go with the new Friends Forever omnibus which contains 12 stories (vs. Adventures in Friendship's 3 stories and the original compilations' 4 stories). That way you get 3-4 times the number of stories at only twice the price.
