mei mei is infatuated with the octopus and is going to be one for Halloween. Thinks "An Octopus's Garden" is her song. Stands to reason that she LOVES this book. I think it is just okay.

This is a fun and very silly book that depicts a young boy imagining what it would be like to have a pet octopus.

The narrative is simple enough for beginning readers and has a larger font. The illustrations are colorful and cartoonish and completely fantastical.
