Fun & interesting trivia questions broken down into categories such as A Poirot Perspective, Mon Ami Hastings, Fifty Ways to Kill Your Victims, Secondary Sleuths, etc. Each section lists the numbered questions & is followed by the corresponding answers. You would have to know all the Christie works in extreme detail & have a fantastic memory to get even a quarter of them correct. Having just re-read them all, I got several I probably wouldn't have remembered normally. Some are quite obscure & others are pretty obvious, but it's always fun to test your knowledge. There were only two errors that I found (& double-checked them in my Christie Companion to be sure) which slipped past the editor, but, otherwise, a fun book.

The questions range from the amusingly easy (“What was Hastings’s rank when he was discharged from the service?”) to the definitely challenging (“Roger Ackroyd has been described as ‘the most famous victim in detective fiction’. If that is true, then his home is the most famous scene of the crime in detective fiction. What is the name of the Ackroyd estate?”) (As for me, I’d take issue with that “most famous”—not when compared to the Orient Express!)

Anyway, a nice assortment of questions. I just wish I could answer more of them…
