The newest publication from the Tilt-Up Concrete Association is the second in a planned trilogy of resources covering the architecture, engineering and construction of Tilt-Up. Continuing the high quality with which The Architecture of Tilt-Up was printed and assembled, the new (10" x 10") book presents state-of-the art information and large colorful imagery of the construction process. Topics planning, slabs and foundations, panel layout and forming, reinforcement, inserts and embedded items, placing and finishing of the panels, lifting, setting and bracing of the panels, connections and finishing touches.
I recently read "The Construction of Tilt-Up" and I was thoroughly impressed with the level of detail and information provided in the book. The author does an excellent job of explaining the entire process of constructing Tilt Up buildings, from the initial design phase to the finished product. The book is well-organized and easy to follow, with plenty of helpful diagrams and photographs to illustrate key concepts. I particularly appreciated the practical advice and tips provided throughout the book, which are based on the author's years of experience in the construction industry. Overall, I highly recommend "The Construction of Tilt-Up" to anyone interested in this construction method or looking to gain a deeper understanding of it.
