This anthology focuses on office love, lust and sex as the central theme, some lust filled, some love filled. As always, I had some I liked more than others!

Power Play by Pelaam I liked this one, if for no other reason than what Connor wears under his regular clothes! There’s a case of mistaken (hidden?) identity and some light BDSM. I could have done without all the “Brat”, especially since that name started right when they met each other. I did have to keep reminding myself – the anthology is about office affairs, so sex in the office, suspend belief!

Between the Briefs by Noelle Keaton Seth has broken up with his boyfriend Winston, who is a rich, spoiled, narcissistic brat. He’s off to St Louis for a meeting and there is meets Jamie (who has had a crush on him for months) and decides they can have a no-strings fling. While Jamie is ready for the fling part, the no-strings, maybe not. When Winston comes calling to cause trouble things come to a head. I felt bad for Jamie because Seth was just so oblivious but at least he’s up front and honest. Likeable story with a very nice ending.

The Office Boy by Cat Blaine This story wasn’t for me, mainly because I found Dexter to be a jerk and I wasn’t expecting it to be a threesome add-on. Alex has been crushing on Dexter but I so wanted him to be with someone else. Right in front of him “This is the guy I was telling you about” “What? Are you serious?” Dexter looked flabbergasted. “He looks sort of scrawny.” I wanted Alec to smack him and leave! Menage fans will like this one more, I think.

The Art of Grant Management by Nicola Cameron Very sweet story of the grumpy Dr Peter, a scientist who needs grant money, who is being driven crazy by the sarcastic administrative assistant. I liked this because of the dancing around the two of them do, especially Peter. Admit the attraction? Never! And my favorite quote, “I would rather orally service Sarah Palin than ask John Quincy for a favor.” Now THAT is repugnance, there! Loved seeing Peter finally pull his head out of his butt and admit what he wanted. And then the scientific way of noticing arousal, that was so Peter! This one was a favorite.

Under the Boss by JC Holly Paul has a new boss and he wants to make a good impression. Craig, his boss, seems like a decent guy although he runs hot and cold. Paul has to find out how to handle it all. This one is mostly just sex and it was bareback within days of meeting, didn’t like that.

His Assistant by Nikka Michaels My favorite of the bunch, because I am a sucker for the twist, the tough guy who can only show his real self to the one he loves. John is Justin’s boss and he’s a pretty tough guy at work, the “undisputed alpha in their financial industry” and only Justin knows John’s real side. I loved that John is not just Justin’s sub but his love. The scene when Justin has to print something for a senior partner, perfect!

Business or Pleasure by Xondra Day Trent is Peter’s assistant and he’s arrogant and wants what he wants, regardless. Have to admit, I really didn’t like him. Change your plans, this is what we are doing. The fact that he had a private detective check out Trent irritated me to no end, since Trent never came on to Peter, it was the other way around. He spied on him in the shower, for heaven’s sake. This one didn’t work well for me.

I love a good anthology full of sexy hot stories. I meet new authors and read a variety of stories. Some great and some okay, for my taste, but that's the joy of anthologies. Something for everyone.

I loved Nikka Michaels story "His Assistant." Justin and Jonathan were hot. The story had a twist I did not see coming but loved it. I love this new author and look forward to more from her.

3 stars for every story. None were that steamy. I was hoping, but didn't get it!

The Takeover --- Doris O’Connor

Emma is all prepared to meet the company’s new CEO, but her immediate boss plans to take all the credit for the work Emma has done.
Her friend Shane has seen how Emma is treated from the moment he met her. He despises how her boss treats her but he has a feeling that things will change.
When the time comes to meet the CEO Emma walks into a room with her immediate boss, and shockingly Shane is already there. The truth comes out about how it is Emma and not her boss that does all the work and that her boss in incompetent. Shane, the friend she’s been attracted to since she met him is not just another employee, he’s the new CEO. He wants Emma and he will do what he can to prove it to her.
Not all office romances are bad. Some are bad in a good way.

I chose this book based on the title alone for the 2016 Reading Challenge and wasn't sure what to expect. This ended up being a "fun" read taking me out of my normal reading comfort zone to a book of short stories about fantasy office sex. You won't be able to look at people in your office the same anymore!!

What an array of scenarios! Some were naturally clichéd, because how can they not be, but others were quite inventive and entertaining. And the heat factor ranged from hot to unable to breathe. The stories were just enough of a taste by the author to interest looking into other tales by them and it worked. I have added to my author TBR list.

OMG!! I've always loved the office romance stories, but this collection is scorching hot!

My favorite story is Unravel Me by SJ Maylee. Colin and Mary have an instant attraction that can't be denied. I wouldn't mind working for him, so where do I sign up!

I was given this book for an honest review: This was an anthologies so I both liked and hated it. I liked it because there were a lot of great short stories and they were truly sexy. I hated it because they were short stories and I wanted more.
