Overall, this was pretty enjoyable. The illustrations were well done and I felt that the art style compared to the first volume was a tad bit different (which is a good thing), there was high attention to detail especially on Junketsu and Senketsu. However, this wasn't perfect. I was disappointed to see that most of the transformation sequences were shortened in length and didn't build a sense of wonder and importance which made the kamui reveal all the more awe-striking. At times, it had trouble conveying the power and intensity of the fight scenes. This problem, however, was rarely present in the Ryuko vs. Satsuki fight. All in all, coming from someone who watched the anime, this was great and lives up to Kill la Kill's potential and rarely falls short.

I read this one on the bus on the way to the library to turn in some books.

I really enjoy this series. It is absolutely hilarious and packed with action. Those 2 things make me want to keep reading more and more.

Now that she is truly in tune with her outfit and is wearing it properly, $h!t is about to get real!!

Nesse volume fica ainda mais claro o quanto essa adaptação sofre por ser muito curta. É informação demais jogada na sua cara de modo frenético e o autor ainda tenta jogar as piadas pervertidas no meio que são parte intrínseca do lore de Kill la Kill, mas que ficam meio jogadas no mangá por não ter número de páginas o suficiente para ser trabalhado como deveria.
O ritmo desse volume sofre com a inconsistência, mas eu tenho certeza que se fosse uma série com mais volumes o autor conseguiria adaptar toda a essência do anime para o mangá. A arte é bem feita e a ação te deixa virando as páginas para saber como vai ser o próximo movimento, e até o humor puxado pela Mako tem um impacto parecido com o do anime, só sofre mesmo por não ser melhor trabalhado, por não ter página para se desenvolver melhor.

This review will apply to all three books.
I appreciate this as a fan of the original series but given that it's not a complete adaptation and in a lot of cases does less due to the removal of objective timing and beautiful animation, I can't really recommend this, especially over the original show. I have to stress that I appreciate the effort that was made here, there are some really well done translations to the page, but it's unfortunately not worth investing time and money in for it.

The only good thing I have to say about this volume is that it was quick reading; there is virtually no story and the art will not slow you down either. Thank goodness, I have only one more volume.

Il secondo volume dell'adattamento in forma di manga dell'anime dello studio Trigger mette ulteriormente in evidenza le peculiarità di questa produzione,per altro già evidenti nel precedente volume,la decisione di sviluppare il manga in parallelo alla serie animata e non in seguito,come normalmente accada in questi casi,comporta una serie di cambi nella trama(dovuti al fatto che l'autore stava lavorando sulla base di una versione non definitiva della stessa)e dei cambi generici,tra cui la mancanza di molti dettagli e sottotrame e la locazione di alcuni avvenimenti in frangenti temporali differenti e a volte non del tutto coerenti con l'evoluzione della trama complessiva,che nell'insieme rendono questa versione meno dettagliata e più breve,interessante per chi ha già visto la serie che così potrà andare a caccia di tutte le differenze e godere di una storia non completamenteidentica a quella che ha già completato,ma nel complesso più debole dell'originale.
Per quanto riguarda il character design,anche in questo caso il risultato è inferiore rispetto all'originale,soprattutto a causa della mancanza dell'attenzione estrema per la creazione delle espressioni facciali dei personaggi,la cosa è particolarmente evidentenel caso di Satsuki Kiryūin,che una volta privata della sua clasica espressione di feroce determinazione,sembra uasi un personaggio completamente diverso...
Nel complesso i difetti della serie sono tutto sommato relativi e non rovinano l'esperienza complessiva,ma continuo a pensare che la serie sia più facile da apprezzare dopo aver visto l'anime originale.

Crazy art style, insane characters, and yet I can't help but read it. I look forward to the next and last book in hopes there is some explanation for the craziness of this series.
