very interesting book that traces the earliest efforts in the area of mystical religion. I particularly found the numbers of such movements and the personalities fascinating - and all prior to the Reformation.

Rufus Jones' Writings Speak to Me

This is a fascinating book. However, whoever uploaded it did a terrible job. Footnotes are in the middle of sentences, and the next part of a sentence may be on the next page or two. Therefore it is challenging to read. I did finish it, but I then ordered a paperback copy which just arrived. He has important things to say about the development of the many Christianities.

a lot of good analysis about the mystical religious tradition in Europe.
