Fun theme for this Housewife Assassin installment

I really liked having the family Stone thrust into the Hollywood scene for this book. Their script consultant job paralleled with their clear-Donna's-name agenda. Although way too convenient and contrived, it worked for me as a lover of escape thrillers. At this point in the series, I'm getting frustrated by her childrens' failure to connect, well ANY dots whatsoever. Do they know about their parents' jobs or not? Have they not realized that nobody ever calls their father Carl, as he is commonly addressed as Jack by everyone?

I didn't enjoy this quite as much as most of the series but then it was supposed to be a worrying period in the lives of the main characters. Looking forward to the next one (again) though :)

Wow, I have to tell you, I had fun with this one!

When the one person who can hurt you the most has been sanctioned by the government to do so, what recourse do you have? Go on the run, of course--which is exactly what my housewife assassin, Donna, does-with Jack and her family of course.

Donna does it in style: a Hollywood producer hires Jack and her to consult on a thriller. In no time at all, he figures out that she's the real deal, and her life is more exciting than anything he's seen from his screenwriters.

The exotic locations give Jack and Donna the opportunity to chase down leads that will help them clear their names. Their adventures have a dark side for their family. In this book, everyone grows up fast. Secrets are revealed, and Donna has some very important decisions to make.

Josie Brown continues to tickle my funny bone with the other Housewife Assassin series. She also frustrates the hell out of me, because please, could somebody please please PLEASE kill Carl already!!!! The guy is like a bad smell!!!! But Carl annoying the crap out of me aside, the book is once again fun, sweet, sexy and a real joy to read!

It was another excellent read but I'm a little disappointed that Carl is still alive and or has not been put in prison. I guess this series is dependent upon him too which in my opinion is not necessary since Donna is not interested him. But I'm still want to know what happens next in the next book.

I just LOVE this series - it has it all: well developed characters, engaging plot, and plenty of snarky humor. If you like snarky and smart humorous chick lit, you will love this series. While this book can stand alone, you will enjoy it even more if you start with book one.

Another great read from Josie Brown. This time Donna's soon-to-be ex-husband Carl is appointed to a position that oversees the agency that Donna and Jack work for. He frames them for a murder that he commits and they spend quite a bit of time trying to prove their innocence. Great read Josie!

I've loved all the Josie Brown books I've read so far, and this one is no exception. I have several of her books already purchased, but I ration them out like a miser, deliberately letting time go between books. I'd hate to come to the end of the series and know that there weren't any more to come! Can I make any better recommendation?

I love this series!

I have read every book in this series so far and they are all so much fun to read. There’s so much action and surprises in each one. There are times while reading that I try to figure out what will happen next based upon what I am reading and most of the time what I am expecting happens later. I will definitely keep reading this entire series.

***SPOILER ALERT***This book is just so hilariously Hollywood, while still allowing for spy thrilling moments, it's my favourite in the series thus far.

When Carl is appointed to head the defence agencies of America, he doctors things to make Donna and Jack look like murderers, and manages to close down Acme.

It's brilliant to have Jack and Donna take their kids to shoot a Hollywood movie they're consulting on about being assassins, while they also track down witnesses to help prove their innocence. All while escaping from Carl and his goons.

The kids love it, but do eventually miss their friends and get bored, and Mary is definitely old enough to have some real suspicions about what's going on with her parents.

All the drama of the Hollywood movie shoot fits right in with the rest of the drama, and of course, the Quorum figure into everything as well. Luckily, Lee's found again to be a good guy as the president, and will be part of future missions for sure. Good news for me, I love his character.

Also, FINALLY, Arnie and Emma get engaged, but with some weird stuff happening to get them there. Still, more fun to be had in future books. Love it!
