The legendary Berlin nightclub Berghain celebrates its tenth anniversary with works by renowned artists--including Norbert Bisky, Marc Brandenburg, Ali Kepenek, Sven Marquardt, Sarah Schönfeld, Piotr Nathan, Carstel Nicolai, Friederike von Rauch, Wolfgang Tillmans and Viron Erol Vert--installed upon the former power plant's raw concrete walls.
I really enjoyed this book. I picked it up the first time I ever visited Berghain in March 11, 2023. Kr!z was closing and I stayed until the end. I bought the book on the way out of the club. The book itself is very beautiful, has lots of bilingual interviews with different people who have influenced the club over the years. The art work in the club and in the book are incredible. In reality, the whole club is a piece of art work/social experiment. If you do go to Berghain and have a nice time, I would suggest buying the book (i'm not sure if they are sold out, they are hard to find). It's a great memento and really nice read.
--- Update 2025. I actually met Yusuf at berghain during my most recent trip. He was one of the nicest people I have ever met and really fun at the party. The silverster party is quite hard to get into but was truly the greatest party I have ever went to. Berghain is really a piece of art in itself. Everything about the club is so detailed and intentional, its truly incredible. Seeing the whole building open up and exploring how it works was really eye opening.
