A friend gave me the book as a gift. The title was lost in translation from Italian because it's really about interesting races of all distances on 5 continents, from 10k to several hundred kilometer relays. Each race comes with brief logistical details, history, course record holders, artwork drawing of the course, and of course, fabulous pictures. Interspersed throughout the book are tips and advice for marathon training, hydration, fueling, racing, etc. It's a little dated now since it was published in 2015.
If you're looking for ideas of global events, beyond the Majors, this would make a good bucket list.
