3.5 Stars and a Val Man Bun Diatribe

This was a super decent read. I have enjoyed most of the books in this series, although I skipped Jesse's book (book three).

Because DIRTY MAN SLUT.

description

The whole "the H is so badass and swoon worthy that every woman lays their vagina at his feet" gets super old.

description

In fact, one of my favorite aspects of this book?

The fact that Beau doesn't dip his stick into every every willing wet nook and cranny.

That's right, I said NOOKS AND CRANNIES.

And not the kind you butter and jelly up.

description

Tasty as those might be.

description

Go on with your bad self, Sponge Bob, go on...

Seriously though, I get that the sweet butts and club pieces are part of MC life and all that supposed jazz, but I just get sick of feeling nauseous reading about my H banging women other than the h, especially after they have met each other.

Unrealistic of me?

Mebbe.

But I don't fucking care.

I don't read ROMANCE novels for REALISM.

description

Something else this book surprised me with?

Beau's hair.

Typically, I am NOT a fan of the MAN BUN.

In fact, my normal stance on this issue?

description

FUCK.

NO.

No.

No you should never, not ever, grow a man bun.

Whatever kind of man you are.

Because NOT CUTE.

Soooooooooo NOT CUTE it borders on FUGLY in my opinion.

description

Seriously though, man buns make me think of awful hipster grandpa sweaters, incense, and and ball-crushing skinny jeans.

Case in point?

Look.

Look at all these hot so-called heartthrobs lookin' like total tards with their hair like this.

description

description

description

I mean, if Bradley, Colin, and Jake can't pull it off...?

And just look at this fucking train wreck:

description

I mean, my God, is that HAIR SPRAY?

Methinks it is, for fucks sake.

description

And if LEO of Titanic-bang-every-22-year-old-blonde-model-fame can't pull it off, who fucking can, right?

Answer: BEAU

Beau can.

Because the Beau in my head - and as proven via Pinterest - rocks that man bun better than a fucking beast mode ballerina.

description

description

So thanks Beau.

Thanks for showing me that there are caveats and exceptions to my stance on the wonders of the man bun.

Now don't get me wrong.

I have not pulled a 180 on this by any means.

If my husband came up to me and said he was gonna grow himself a man bun?

description

Seriously though. My husband is pretty hot.

But still.

If he ever grew one of these, I would weed whack that shit off his dome so fucking hard, he'd probably have frontal lobe damage.

But I digress.

The book.

Beau and Mackenzie's story was super solid.

They both have feelings for each other that are made evident from the onset.

However, due to Mackenzie's past and their "situation," they both fight these feelings - of course - to the point where it almost becomes blue balls annoying.

description

But like I said earlier, I liked that Beau's eyes didn't stray from Mackenzie once she arrived on the scene.

So for all my Safety Gangers, I would deem this one as a safe read.

Some things that annoyed me about the story were the constant flashbacks - which I ALWAYS loathe, although it wasn't the worst I have ever seen here - and the fact that Mackenzie withholds some information from Beau and the club that bordered on lying to me.

Her reasoning for withholding said info was reasonable - to a point. But in my opinion she held onto it for just a little too long for it not to irk me in the end.

Other than that, I thought this was a great addition to the series and I enjoyed it.

4.5⭐️ and let me just tell you why. . .

Sit down folks, we need to talk about this book. Don't make me get the rope. .

Let start with discussing a very touchy subject matter - abuse. This is a hard topic to discuss, let alone write about. And not only write about, but write it in such a manner that it touches you, you feel it. You hurt for Kenzie, Missy, all the women Beau helps. River didn't just write it into a book, she gave us a freakin screenplay, a mini movie. She delivered it in such a way, for me, it was like a movie playing out in my head as we read it- past and present.

Let's move on to the chemistry. I have always been a Nix fan. Always said he was my favorite. But I don't know now. Beau may have just topped Nix. And not only did my toes curl every damn time he said Darlin', but Jesus I feel like my hormones got a live wire jump start. Can you have an out of body orgasm just from reading? I think I may have. Seriously. Me saying it was hot, doesn't do it justice.

Now, still with me? Can we discuss this freaking club? I don't even want to call it that anymore. Because this club has such a bond of friendship, loyalty, and brotherhood, that club doesn't do it justice. River has given us a family. River have given us men that, as good as they were single, as epically incredible with the women who stand next to them.

Lastly, let's discuss the smooth and flawless writing style of Mrs Savage. From the minute I picked up this book, I was done for. River's writing style is always so flawless, so smooth, so addictive and Infatuation doesn't fall out of that mold. Even with the heavy topics and bumps in the road, it was still so flawless. And if you've read River before, you shouldn't be surprised. If you haven't, you may be missing out on one of the best MC writers to enter this genre within the past few years.

Mackenzie Moore is yet again on the run from her abusive husband and thinking of the safest place for her to run too is back to Beau who transported her to a safe house back in BOOK #3...

I have no idea what I'm doing, or if they will want to help me, but I have no other options and nowhere else to to. - MacKenzie

I've spent no more than forty - eight hours with her, yet she has a hold over me, a hold I can't explain.

The last time I saw her I told her we would keep her safe. - Beau

We finally get the full picture into why Beau rescues beaten up, abused woman and gets them away from the dangers of their lives and into safe homes..

My sister. The reason I started all of this.

Full of angst, grit, sexiness and the hottest damn alpha male of the Knights Rebels MC..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Mayor Morre is worse than his son. And now he has a score to settle.

Out of all the men that make up "The Knights Rebels MC" Beau would have to be my all time heart throb, he's closed off where it comes to woman until MacKenzie comes barrelling into his life all broken and bruised, it's an instant BOOM, she's everything he thought he didn't want in his life, but needs, she's sassy, tough, fits into club life and gets on with the other men's woman, this isn't dark like most of my MC reads it's focuses more towards the romance readers and that's where it gets your heart melting for all that is Beau..

I loved it! Infatuation is book #4 in the Knights Rebels MC series. The storyline and suspense sucks you in from page one. River Savage never fails to deliver a beautiful and deep emotional love story.

I just couldn't put it down at all and was really on edge with how everything would play out!

Kenzie is a beautiful and loving woman who gets caught in an extremely abusive marriage. She briefly met Beau 18 months earlier when he helped her and saved her life. Right away, they felt something for each other but given the circumstances Beau drove away.

Wanting to escape her tragic past Mackenzie tried to build a new life until her violent ex-husband located her once more. At her breaking point she fled leaving everything behind her and showed up at the MC's door to ask Beau for his help.

His arms became her home and his heart her shelter.

I loved Beau and Mackenzie together. They both live messed up lives and experienced things no person ever should. Beau is just wow! So easy to fall for and definitely book boyfriend material! The sex scenes were scorching HOT!

Though this book mainly focuses on their relationship, there is plenty of behind the MC scenes with drama, violence and grit that occur.

I highly recommend this book and the entire Knights Rebels MC Series, and look forward to the next one (hopefully Brooks and Kelly's story).

4.5 BEAU AND MACKENZIE STARS

This is a very moving story that centres around Beau (40) and Mackenzie (35), a woman he once rescued. Eighteen months have passed since Mackenzie fled an abusive relationship and was saved by Beau. He had helped her find somewhere to recover and thought he would never see her again. They both felt a connection to each other despite their contact being very brief. Beau has never looked to settle down .He is a fully paid up member of the 'one and done' crew, plus he demands control in the bedroom and he could never expect Kenzie to be up for that...could he?

Lots happens in this book both to the club and Beau and Kenzie. They have a gorgeous ending but there are plenty of other stories just waiting in the wings. I love this series and am itching for more.
Word of warning, if domestic abuse is a trigger for you , you should be aware that that constitutes a large portion of this book and includes quite graphic flashbacks. I felt it was done sensitively and with great care. There are also violent scenes which centre around 'club business' and those are between Beau and a rival club member.

RE-READ VIA AUDIBLE IN 2021
Narrated by Joe Arden and Lidia Dornet.
I kicked off 2021 with the desire to have Mr Arden's dulcet tones accompany me to and from work and I wanted to listen to a book I already knew I loved. Infatuation fit the bill completely. Great story and fabulous narration from both Joe and Lidia. Why is it the hot parts always seem to be playing as you pull into the car park at work though???

RE-READ VIA AUDIBLE IN DECEMBER 2024 - I still love this book. Beau and Kenzie are great characters. I would love to read the next book, Reminiscence but I'm not sure if Ms Savage is writing anymore. I really hope she is , because she is so talented.

HEA? Yes but only four months into the future. I felt Kenzie and Beau were definitely a forever couple and there is lots more brewing in the club with another couple.
Cheating? No

3.5 stars!***

I was really looking forward to Beau's and Mackenzie's story. I enjoyed it, but I wasn't blown away. It was an okay read, although I felt it was too static sometimes. Looking back at the story it was the same thing over and over again.

Kenzie was saved by Beau several months ago. Her husband was an abusive SOF who didn't take no for an answer. His way was the only way. After a year he found her again.

Beau is surprised when Mackenzie appears on the doorstep of his club. He thought she was safe, she was supposed to be tucked away at some place, living happily. But here she was, looking way too thin and way too scared for his taste.

He was affected by her before, but now.. when she's not beat up and smiles at him.. he knows he's in a deep trouble.

It was lovely story. Not really remarkable though. The only thing that really stuck up with me was the ending - not the epilogue, but the part about Kelly and Brooks. Those two were together from the very beginning of the series and now they are facing troubles. Which means they'll get their book! (they have to!)

Kenzie went through a huge character development. She changed from a shy, scared abused woman into a confident, self-asured, bright woman in love with her man and in love with life. Even her panick attacks became less frequent.

And Beau. He should cut his hair. Long hair are not hot. Not even when you have a beard.

Even he changed a bit. He was comanding manwhore before and Kenzie turned him into a bit less comanding, cuddle loving man. He even learned how to sweet talk!

The ending was cute and all the questions regarding those two were answered. It was bit rushed. But I didn't really mind, I could see that they had genuine feelings for each other and it was a long time coming. So, actually, it was not so rushed after all.

I wanted to see a bit of Jesse and Bell and was disappointed when they were there only for a little while. I still don't know a thing about her sister Paige and what happened to her while she was held captive.

Hopefully she'll have her own book soon. And Hunter. (Maybe Paige and Hunter will be together?) But Kelly and Brooks should come firts.

Infatuation was the long awaited story of Beau McIntyre and Mackenzie “Kenzie” Morre. Kenzie, as you all may remember, is that beaten woman of whom the Knights Rebels MC encounter, after running away from her abusive husband.

That’s easier of course, said than done, when your husband’s father is a powerful senator with a lot of dangerous connections and your ex has a deadly obsession with you.

Not to mention, a sex on a stick biker, who screams everything you should stray clear from, evokes something in you as sinful as it is addictive, and makes you feel you feel things you haven't in a while...loved...cherished...and above anything else, protected.

“Part of me should be scared of him, but for the first time ever, I trust this stranger is going to save me, so I hold on tighter, willing to go wherever he takes me.”

I really loved the give and take of Beau and Kenzie.

Both carrying the burden of broken pasts and a weight of vulnerability that no one else can possibly fathom, Beau and Kenzie’s relationship to me, started off as kindred spirits, with this irrevocable understanding of the pain, loss, and unsurpassed trust they feel in the other, into something more.

“She is dangerous. She has gotten under my skin and buried herself deep. And I’m not sure I want her out.”

They just had this spark and connection that transcends all others and gives the other the hope, motivation, and completion to want to fight for themselves, each other, as well as others.

1782084 1620540678212174 3780559312932917218 n

Definitely a fine tale of love, honor, faith, family & brotherhood, redemption, and commitment.

I really hope Brooks and Kelly’s story is up next, as I was most certainly intrigued and heartbroken, with the turn of events for them. So, so unexpected!! And yet, so damn fascinating.

I’m also DYING (yes, dying!) to get my hands on Bell’s sister’s story!! That one looks to be one for the ages!! Aww, I can’t wait!!

Btw, River, I’m still crossing my fingers that Heidi will somehow make a miraculous appearance in the next book! I am dying to know what happened to her and still am praying for her. I don’t know why, but I felt a pang of respect and sense of admiration for her and her unfailing allegiance to Kenzie!! Aww, the suspense!!

Anyway, great, great story!! Although, it was kinda awkward to read an erotic story with the male protagonist with my little brother’s name, doing sensually naughty things! Hahaha. It was both satisfying as it was also uncomfortable to say the least.

12088045 1619074198358822 386574664014163246 n

All in all though, so worth the wait!!

I love it when authors handle sensitive matters with care in their books. I love it when books dig into the ugly side of life and that is what River Savage did in this book.
Mackenzie is a victim if domestic abuse. Having no one else, she seeks the help of the Rebels when her violent ex husband locates her once more.
Beau saved her the first time and he is willing to risk his life and his club for her again. With his own burden to carry, he supports Kenzie in any way he can until her nemesis is found.
I loved the dynamic between our couple. I liked the writing and how it flowed. MacKenzie went through a lot but she was strong and knew what she wanted. The chemistry between her and Beau was amazing and I loved how the second characters really added to the story. Nix, Jesse, Kadence and Kelly really made this book even better. Also, that twist! Loved it. I so did not expect that!!!! Kudos to the author for that clever turn.
If you are a fan if the series, do not miss this.

Ok so I finally finished the 4 books in the series. Let me tell you this, these books were amazing !

Book 1 was the introduction to the MC club and I loved everything about it. I loved Nix and Kadence, and the chemistry between those two was hot and charming. Nix is the President of the MC, so I guess it made him hotter haha ! Kadence is suffering from bad injuries and she doesn't really accept how it made her feel and look. But of course, Nix is here to make her feel better and make her feel beautiful. For me, this is really important. Even if you have a complex or a handicap, you have to be accepted with your imperfections. Those who can see past your imperfections are the ones that you need to keep close. This book is teaching us a lot of things and i love it !

Book 2 is the story between Sy (love the name!) and Holly (Kadence's best friend). This book guys gave me the chills. It is my favorite in all the series. I don't really know why, but we had a little taste of her story in book 1 and for what I knew, Holly's story is extremely sad. I do like dark books but this one is more 'sad dark' then 'sexy dark'. I fell in love with both of them. Sy was the type of guy who didn't talk that much and just stayed in the dark watching everyone. When he met Holly, everything changed for him, his perception of life and how to act. Anyway I loved them so so much. They went through a lot together, even if they weren't in a relationship. Anywhhooo this one is number one (for me).

Book 3 was dark but heartbreaking dark. Jesse is the manwhore of the club. We all see him on the outside like the happy and joyful type of dude. But as I always say, appearances can be deceiving... We are brought to a broken Jesse on the inside fighting to get peace. He has dealt with a lot of bad luck and bad family stuff but when he met Bell, a nurse, everything changed for him. Both of them are dealing with a lot on their mind but they complete each other. Sometimes, i found that Jesse was an ass and a bit rough with Bell but i liked the story and the context in general.

Book 4 was a bit darker, with the story of Kenz and Beau. I felt really bad for both of them because they had a terrible past. They both endure so much so they deserve each other so much. A lot of women is being mal treated and hit by their husbands. This is why you'll feel Kenz because this is a subject that is important in our society.
The end got me really sad because of the accident that caused the loss of Kelly's memories. I can't wait to read Kelly and Brooks story which i think is going to be hard to read. I'm sure Brooks is struggling so it makes my heart ache...

In general, i absolutely loved this series. There was action, romance, suspense, mystery, funny stuff and a looooot of sex hahahaha in all of the books. All of the characters are struggling with what they lived but Love is healing them all. I can't wait to read book 5 and book 6 !

"I'm consumed by everything he gives me. Everything he takes from me.

I’ve been a fan of the series since the beginning and River Savage continues to astound me with her brilliance! The stories just keep getting better and better, Infatuation being no different.

Mackenzie Morre is resilient, fierce, a warrior, and a fighter. We’re first introduced to her in book 2 in which we immediately see her strength. After escaping the grips of an abusive relationship, Mackenzie is moving on with her life. When her past comes knocking on her front door, her only option is to fight back as she runs to the one person who promised to help her no matter what.

Beau.

Beau McIntyre has always been the broody and quiet one, but in this book you are finally able to see this whole other side to him. Each of the Knights Rebels are alphas, but Beau wins this round. He’s in a league of his own. We get to know the man behind the cut, discovering he’s got wounds. Wounds that slowly begin to heal thanks to Mackenzie.

She’s just what Beau needs.

This story was raw and real to the core; full of suspense, angst, healing, second chances, surviving, and lots of sexiness.

Beau will capture your heart and never let you go while being sure to melt your panties right off. I’m so proud of how much this series has grown and I’m honored to be apart of this journey. I can’t help but get excited about this series as I look forward to more from the Knights Rebels.

This series is been very good, I absolutly loved it all this far.

There was one thing I missed a bit, it's known that Beau has a kink side and yet we didn't really get to see it. But despite that it was a fantastic read!

Mackenzie has a very terrible past and horrible abusive husband, who I hated from the start! One down side I really want to know what about Heidi? Do we get to know what happened to her?
Even though it was an amazing read I saw a few things coming.

I don't know what I was thinking the first time I listened to this book. I'm lowering it to a 2-stars because MacKenzie is a twat. Even Beau and his pierced d*ck cant save this fic.

Beau (woman rescuer, pierced dick) is really involved in rescuing women from abusive relationships and sending them into hiding, especially to honor his sister who was killed by her abusive husband. During one of the runs, he and Sy helped rescue an abused MacKenzie (details in Book 2) and create a new identity for her and send her on her way. Now, a year later and MacKenzie is back and asking Beau to help her again because her ex has found her. Beau and Kenz have a connection, but Beau doesn't want to go forward with her because he likes to dominate women in bed and she's been abused. Yada yada, Kenz has been keeping a secret, they have sex at like 42%-ish, then something happens to Kelly, then a HEA for them, but an unresolved cliffy for another couple.

I wasn't a fan of Kenzie's at all. There are too many flashbacks that go over everything that's happened since Beau rescued her the first time. In the end, nobody cares about that. I also got really tired of waiting for them to hook-up in the beginning. They kept doing that song & dance of we should/we shouldn't. The book is also very anticlimactic.

Now.... here's why I'm really pissed.
potential spoilers ahead: this is partly why I hate Kenzie so much.

So this ends on a cliffy for one couple and I'm going to put it in here because this author has disappeared and it doesn't appear you'll ever get a resolution.

Kelly gets hit in the head and is in a coma, when she wakes up she has amnesia. Brooks is a total wreck. Sad that the author ended this book that way.

Infatuation is book 4 in the Knights Rebel MC series and its Beau and Mackenzie's story. I loved Beau he was caring, patient and totally sexy. I also enjoyed Mackenzie as her confidence grew while she dealt with her past abuse. Their chemistry was really hot and they were great together. Unfortunately the story was boring. I felt like the story needed more or should have been shorter because it just dragged on for me. My heart broke for Brooks and Kelly and I look forward to the next book in this series.

If you ever read a book from River Savage then you are fully aware that this author takes her readers on a whirlwind of raw emotions and surprises. And in her newest release to the Knight's Rebel's MC Series, Ms. Savage holds her readers hostage as she consumes us with raw emotions, grittiness, intensity, and passion. Infatuation was so much more than your typical MC romance of a good girl meets bad boy biker. This book sends a powerful message that no one is truly broken and life is full of second chances.

#Infatuation

Infatuation centers on the story of Beau McIntyre and Mackenzie Moore. Ms. Savage introduces her readers to a broken, beaten Mackenzie Moore. A woman who has first hand experienced physical abuse from her husband. A woman who lived the tale of what it means to escape from a monster and be a survivor. Mackenzie Moore is a resilient woman, who just needed time to really see how strong, beautiful, and tough she is. And the only person who was able to transcend and help bring out this side to Mackenzie was Beau McIntyre.

"I'm consumed by everything he gives me. Everything he takes from me."

When Beau first rescued and helped Mackenzie, he never thought he would see her again. But eighteen months later, she shows up at his MC clubhouse asking for help and protection. There was something about Kenzie that instantly gravitated him to help her. There was this strong sexual, emotional, and physical connection that was buzzing through the air whenever they were around each other. As Kenzie and Beau continued to spend more time with each other, they soon found themselves crossing that invisible line and they knew once that they crossed that line, there was no going back. Kenzie is well aware of Beau's need for control and submission, can Kenzie submit and let go knowing that she was abused by her husband? Can Beau heal the shattered pieces of Kenzie and show her that she is not broken?

"The truth is I do. I love the way he is. Love the way he speaks, the way he treats me. I love it all and yeah it scares me. Oh, God, does it scare me."

As always, River Savage did another phenomenal job writing Infatuation. It was an emotionally raw book that evoked a wide range of emotions. Infatuation was brimming with grit, passion, grief, loss, hurt, pain, love, and second chances. I loved that Ms. Savage continues to blend and integrate layers of suspense, romance, and raw vulnerabilities. The story of Beau and Kenzie is a reminder that love has the power to shine in our darkest and weakest moments. The strongest light is the light that shines within you.... and for Mackenzie Moore, it lead her way to Beau. Although this book exposes all facets of love and second chances, I loved that Ms. Savage raises awareness on domestic violence. River did an amazing job showcasing that LOVE HEALS and that starting over is a gift that we should not waste. So if you are looking book that reminds us all no matter how much you may think you are broken, you can always build yourself back up and start over again. It's never too late to start over; never too late to love, and never too late to be happy.

P.S.~ River Savage please tell me the next book is Brooke and Kelly because I seriously can't wait for their story. This couple's story gripped and tore my heart. Please don't keep your readers waiting long.

Here I thought I couldn't love River Savage's Knights Rebels novels any more than I already did. I mean, how can you think that there could be a more badass alpha male once you get your taste of Nyx, Sy and Jessie? Yeah, not very likely. With INFATUATION though?

Jesus. Bloody. Hell.

I think I need an intervention right about now, because Beau? He is biker that will 100% make any girl squirm in the sits and have each of our boyfriends scowl at the thought of madly crushing over a bun made, alpha ridden, all things sexy as hell male.. Yes be jealous boys.

Beau may be fictional but he damn well knows how to make us all go insane.. I have officially lost it. Sigh. See? That's EXACTLY what happens when you get into Beau's head or read through Mackenzie's eyes. It's just not possible to stay calm or normal when a biker with an attitude and a dirty as hell mouth, shows the male population how to make her weep without so much as touch her..

Can you kind of tell that I might have a slight *cough* obsession with this creature?

Beau and Mackenzie have captured my attention from the very first page! I was intrigued by Beau's appearance in Decadence, hell I was drooling even back there *ahem* but that's for another story. INFATUATION begins with a glimpse into Kenzie's past or rather, her current situation before she is running away from a life that she fought so long to try to make work.. Her abusive husband gives off that vibe that would make any sane person want to trow their kindle at the wall, and quickly regret that they ruined such a precious thing based on a characters who I'd rather choke slowly.

Ugh. I hated Chad with so much passion, and every flash back that Kenzie was a part of, I just wanted to hug her and tell her that she is finally free of that jerk.. But truth be told, I might be lying since is she safe?

She runs straight in the compound that without shame I would call my personal type of a Disney World.. Yup. I did just go there. A Disney World where I could only ever wish to find my own alpha male to tame. I can dream right? ANYWAY, distraction truly is an understatement when it comes to this book. Jesus. Get yourself together Yelena!!

She met Beau once before, 18 months earlier when she was in such a bad condition that despite Beau barely meeting her, he wanted to kill him. Chad. The guy who just does no stop when it comes to making poor Mackenzie's life worse than living nightmare. An abusive husband that just doesn't have a soul, let alone a heart, to see through all that alcohol ridden hate.. Poor Kenzie.

I cried so much just from the first glimpse into her past I had to put my kindle down and hug the nearest beating heart. My 2 puppies. No boyfriend was near enough, and I just needed the comfort since I KNEW going back to reading the rest of INFATUATION? I knew it would bring my heart crumbling and my dark soul not to mention messed up mind in a weeping mess.. And boy did this happen!! Understatement of the century. Truly.

With Mackenzie back in his life, Beau has some major decisions to make and some heavy thinking to go through..

Beau isn't just another bad-ass biker who is looking for the next lay.. I mean, none of the Knights Rebels MC truly are, especially when they meet the girl/woman who makes them see through the past that clouds their minds and hearts. Beau has a dark and emotional weight that he carries on his shoulders. His sister. Just the mention of her name makes his see red and go into a near uncontrollable rage. He doesn't know where she is and being part of going on the road to rescue any girls who are within the hell's hands. Broken girls that just can't seem to run from the depths of abuse.. We find this out about Beau from Book 3, but now that we know more about him and his past? My heart officially skipped a bit and my soul seemed to have somehow left me for the likes of Beau..

He doesn't want to have his feelings for Mackenzie get in the way of finding out where Chad is and how they can take him down. Not only that, but with Chad being the Mayer's son, there are certain limits to power that can overtake that of one with such strong connections.

This story doesn't just grip your attention from the very first page, it captures all your future breaths, heartbeats, tears, scowls, blushes and horrified gasps.. And it truly doesn't let go. Not even when you get to the very last page. Even now, writing this review, I cannot stop thinking about what those two are going through, what might happen next.. I NEED MORE BEAU!!! Dammit!!

ISSUES.

ACTION PACKED.

ADDICTIVE.

BEYOND SEXY.

DROOL WORTHY.

HEARTFELT.

SOULFUL 100%.

DARK.

EMOTIONAL.

TEAR JERKING.

MASTERFUL.

INFATUATION is a story that will capture every soul and heart that so much as look at the cover.. We see a tattooed long haired sexy guy who seems to be hiding or is in pain. But that's JUST what we "see"..

When we look closer, we get a clearer glimpse of those scars beneath the tattoos.

The dark shades of grey that seem to hold so many painful moments and memories.

We will see 2 tortured souls who have fate to thank for bringing them back into each others hands..

This isn't a simple story. No.

This is just another MC based book. Not bloody likely.

This isn't just another sexy romance story that craves attention for it's "erotic" scandals. No.

This simply isn't just a story. A book. Mere words. NO.

INFATUATION is an emotional, heartfelt and sad, depressing, dark, and dangerous way of pushing every boundary there is when it comes to setting some things straight. It shows the truth behind we could only ever imagine that Beau and Mackenzie must have gone through.

INFATUATION. IS. MORE.

Without spoiling anything else or end up writing a whole new book about everything that makes this book my one and only favorite dark read, I'll leave you with a warning.

Things to have at a touching distance when INFATUATION is in your hands. Tissues. Chocolate. Glass of wine (*cough* bottle.. *nervous grin*). A punching bug or a pillow will do. AND something resembling a sexy shoulder to cry on.. I think that covers it all. Oh and a new set of a heart and soul because God knows how much yours will be ripped to pieces going to this one. You have been warned ;)

THANK YOU so much River Savage for the ARC!! There wasn't a time where I looked crazier screaming like a kid, with happy tears blurring my vision (a near death experience "DID NOT" happen while running down the stairs...) and and exciting I-have-a-new-sexyashell-ARC-land-on-my-kindle dance, as I was with INFATUATION.

THANK YOU!!

I adored your work before, and now with Beau and Mackenzie's story I have a new admiration for how I can only ever wish to accomplish a quarter of the touching work that you do. A true inspiration in so many ways :)

Before I start crying over my lovely Beau yet again and before I turn this into a never-ending emotional mess, I thank you once again for creating this POWERFUL book that is your best yet - and that says something since SY, NYX and JESSIE all hold a separate piece of my heart..

Just Perfect!

I'll be the first to admit that I am a little biased when it comes to the Knights Rebels series. I really enjoy the world Savage has created. Beau is one of the brothers that I really looked forward to having his own story and it didn't disappoint! Beau risks a lot both personally and for the club every time he goes in and helps another woman escape an abusive situation. He does have a personal link to his mission and it makes him just that much more endearing. Beau's issuance of justice may not always be strictly legal but it is always deserved.

Kenzie is one of the women helped by Beau through his network of safe houses. When Kenzie escapes her abuser for the second time she runs directly to the only safe haven that she can think of. To the one man that made her feel safe; Beau. Kenzie is a great example of how smart and otherwise strong women get trapped into relationships with abusive men. Kenzie isn't a doormat she simply chose to love, trust, and believe in a man who took all of that from her and made it into her own personal hell.

INFATUATION is a story of healing for both Beau and Kenzie. Dinged and singed they are still able to take a step towards each other and into a happily ever after. Beau really is the ideal gruff and rugged sexy biker! There is, of course, the extreme sexiness one would expect from a biker romance but this one will also leave you with the warm sense of family and the knowledge that happiness can sometimes come after suffering. This is a page turner that I can see myself re-reading and it will be added to my favorite reads list!

OMG I loved Beau and Mackenzie. I think I loved them just as much as Sy and Holly maybe even a tad bit more. I loved their story, loved them as a couple and individuality. I loved the domestic violence plot and I loved that Kenzie was the one that killed her pos husband! OMG I was freaking over Kelly getting hurt and was completely heartbroken for Kelly and Brooks. OMG I was tearing up over the way Kelly was acting to Brooks after she woke up from her coma. When does their book come out? I need their book and Paige and Conner and I wouldn't mind Jackson getting a book too just sayin' lol. I just need more!

5 Beau Saving Kenzie Stars

Beau saved a girl eighteen months ago and he let her go even though he got feelings for her. Kenzie thought she had a normal marriage until Chad showed her his true color. The only thing that Kenzie knew was walking into Knights Rebels Clubhouse and asked for Beau.....

The only thing I don't like in the book is Lissy, Bell's friend who slept with Beau in Vegas. I don't like how the author tried to make it awkward with h and the side character.

“Besides Brooks, who’s been tied down with Kelly for longer than I can remember, our club Prez and my best friend, Nix, was taken down first when his kid’s teacher knocked him on his ass and he willingly handed his balls over. It was fucking agony to watch. The last thing we needed was a pussy whipped Prez around the clubhouse. I gave him shit for a while, but in the end, I knew Kadence was good for him. For all of us.

Next there was Sy. The moody motherfucker was the last person I expected to take on an old lady. But the little blonde, Holly, who has a smart mouth on her, was able to fuck with his head enough to have him giftwrap his balls and send them to her.

Then there is Jesse, the latest bastard to be tied down. He might have fought his way against it happening, but he got there in the end. I can’t say he’s as whipped as the other fuckers, but wouldn’t be surprised if the prick has his balls sitting in Bell’s handbag.

“I know I’m fucked. More fucked than any of these assholes have ever been. So why doesn’t it scare me? Because you want what they have and she has the power to be the one to give it to you.

Fuck me.

I can already feel my balls going numb.
God help me.”

FIVE 'LAUGHING, SMILING AND DREAMING AGAIN' STARS!

River Savage has done it again with the fifth installment in her incredible Knights Rebels MC series. Infatuation is Beau and Mackenzie's story. Due to the violent nature of Mackenzie's past, this is one of the darkest books in the series. But, ever the masterful storyteller, River Savage gives her readers an amazing journey of pain and fear turning to hope and redemption all wrapped up in a gorgeous love story.

"...you want what they have and she has the power to be the one to give it to you."

Beau is hard man, but underneath his intimidating exterior lies a man driven by his personal demons to help those unable to help themselves. Mackenzie was one of those people. He's complicated, he's bossy, he's controlling. But he is also a fiercely loyal, uber-protective, all-alpha-male packaged up as a bearded, tatted, badass biker.

"I am free. I have escaped."

Mackenzie escaped her husband and the violence of her marriage once, only to be tracked obsessively by this evil, vicious man. When he finds her, she runs back to the one person who made her feel safe - Beau. She is broken, she is scared, she is confused but she is also surprisingly attracted to Beau, and deep down she knows she wants the promises in his eyes. With Beau's kindness, patience and care and the support of the Knights Rebels, Mackenzie fights through her fears and her emotions reaching for the happiness, the love and the family she desperately wants.

"She's no longer this jumpy, scared woman in fear of her life. She doesn't let the past hold her back. She's stronger, braver."

Both Mackenzie and Beau have a lot to overcome emotionally before they can truly come together. But they put in the work, and it was that part of the story - both of them individually facing and then fighting through the tragedies and drama of their personal histories - that was the best part of the story for me. They both knew if they could just wade through murky waters of the past, they could get to the smooth sailing of the future. These were two determined people, both seeing everything they ever wanted in the other and willing to put in the difficult and painful work to offer the other the best versions of themselves.

"I close my eyes and pretend he didn't just threaten me with a beautiful life. A life I didn't think I'd have. A life I want as much as he does."

River has a way of telling a story that just grabs the reader and drags them right into the thick of the story. The world melts away, and there you are - a fly on the wall inside the story as it unfolds around you. I love that about her books. She is, without hesitation, an author whose releases I eagerly anticipate and set aside uninterrupted time so that I can devour the book.

I've been a fan of River Savage's since her release of Incandescent. I love her writing style, the way she tells her characters' stories and the voice she gives them. I adore the characters she's created here and their individual stories. I've been all in on this series since the beginning, and Infatuation didn't disappoint. It was all that I was hoping it would be and then some. Complex where it needed to be and simple when it was called for, this book offered it all: a sexy badass biker hero (that beard!), a strong, brave heroine. An interesting, exciting plot. Super sexy and steamy, while still managing to be gentle and loving. All of that coupled with the superb handling of a sensitive, difficult topic, and this story was an absolute winner.

Another phenomenal addition to a fantastic series, and it's back to stalking her author page on Facebook for news of the next Knights Rebels release, which I'm praying to every incarnation of a higher power is Brooks and Kelly's story. Thank you, River, for another amazing love story!

I'm a huge fan of this series with Nix being my favourite and I really look forward to any Nix appearances in the other books, even if its only briefly but now I just don't know???? Beau may have just topped Nix *sigh*. Must admit I had my reservations about the quiet Beau from the previous books but they have all been blown out of the water. (spoilers)
This book deals with a very sensitive subject matter - abuse. In my opinion this is a difficult topic to discuss and read about so to have this author write about it in such a way that it touches you deeply and makes you hurt for Mackenzie, Missy and all the women Beau and the MC helps is absolutely amazing and I cant sing her praises highly enough! Well done!
Now Beau.... I could rave all day and night about him, his heart is so big and beautiful and there wasn't one thing I didn't like about him, which is huge, from his tattoos, piercings, man-bun and beard to his deep growly dirty-talking voice, just so sexy. The way he treats Mackenzie just melts my heart.
It was great to get the snippets from the other members of the Club, including the women who are strong enough to partner them. Don't get me wrong he is still all badass biker and proves it on numerous occasions.
This story was heartbreaking, scary, beautiful, funny and the sexy times, oh my *fans self* it kept me reading late into the nite and really not wanting to put it down. I really loved how Beau and Mackenzie's relationship had time to develop before the sexy times started, so realistic for Mackenzie's circumstances, it didn't feel rushed or forced.
I cannot say enough about how amazing this book, and series, is. This instalment has set the expectation of the next one very high for me.

I am an avid lover of River Savage's Knights Rebels MC Series. River is not afraid to speak about current social issues and this book is no exception.

I looked forward to reading Infatuation since I met Beau in Book 3. His capacity for compassion was the reason I fell in love with him. He is sexy, bossy and a Bad Ass but a man with a pure heart. Mackenzie finally turns to Beau to save her from her abusive husband and also from her brokenness . Can Beau deliver? But Beau is also broken. Can Mackenzie mend him?

The relationship between Beau and Mackenzie is beautiful. Through her superb writing, River allows us to experience the hurt these 2 go through and also the passion they feel for each other on their journey.

When Beau makes love to Mackenzie, he displays patience and understanding and Mackenzie begins to trust again. But also there are scenes where the sex is off the charts.

After reading Infatuation, River left me an emotional wreck. I cried, and I laughed. She is a gifted author and every book she writes get better and better. You will fall in love with Beau. I whole heartedly recommend this book and I give it 5 stars.

4 Solid Stars

I loved both Beau and Mackenzie but their story wasn't my favorite. I think because it was all just too fast for me. I loved getting to see more of my previous characters that I have come to adore. Sy and Holly, though, hands down are my TOP FAVORITE not just in this book but amongst all of my favorite book couples over the years. Those 2, I can never get enough of, lol:)

I was stunned and saddened by the whole Brooks and Kelly situation especially at the end of the book so that has me wondering.....alot about WTH happened????

All in all, it was a good book and as usual I can't wait to read much more on all of these great characters!!!!!! Congrats:)

Synopsis

Beau McIntyre is driven by a past smothered in blood and covered in bruises. Though tragic, it's help shape his future and define the man he's become.

Day in and day out, he's reminded of his failures in the faces of the women he saves. But what happens when one girl threatens to blow all of that apart? Will Beau lose his grip on the controlled lifestyle he abides by?

Mackenzie Moore is running from a past she needs to forget. A past that has molded her into a woman living in fear. One fateful night, her carefully constructed world is pulled down around her, forcing her to make a decision she's not sure she can live with.

Turning to the Knights Rebels MC for help is the last thing she wants, but everything she needs.

Can Beau save her once again, or is what she running to far worse than what she’s running from?

I know when I read certain authors

I will not be disappointed,

River is definitely one of them.

She knows how to create the perfect

MC biker boyfriend.

A HOT,

Cocky,

Bad boy

that never knows

when he's gonna fall hard

for the girl until he hits the ground.

This story draws you in immediately.

I liked the blast back to the past

that revealed all the pieces to Beau and Kenzie's story.

The seriousness of

the situation of domestic violence is prominent throughout the story.

It is an issue today that needs addressing and they way Kenzie is portrayed gives women a sense of hope in a hopeless predicament.

I know many people that have experienced this having worked in a shelter

and I take my hat off to River for taking this on in her story.

She nailed it!

Of course Beau is also a certified Panty Wetter being a in the Knights Rebels

and he doesn't miss a beat.

Life it isn't always roses and unicorns,

but it's nice to have them sprinkled in here and there.

NO situation is Hopeless

and I think that was captured beautifully in this story.

*ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review

I have been waiting for Beau McIntyre all my life (feels like it!) and now he is finally here. This is the fourth book in the Knights Rebels MC and it was everything I was hoping it would be.

There’s something about a man who you can’t figure out and the mysterious yet sexy Beau has always held my attention. The intensity of his stare and his domineering way just click my kink button but it is also the softer, gentler side he rarely shows that just has my heart swooning, like his willingness to help victims of domestic violence. Well now his story unfolds and we find out more about his past.

Beau helped rescue Mackenzie when she ran from her violent husband but nearly two years later she shows up again at the door of the Knight Rebels asking for his help again. Beau has never forgotten Mackenzie and upon seeing her again something switches inside him and so begins the ride that is Beau and Mackenzie’s story.

Mackenzie has spent the last two years looking over her shoulder and when she finally feels she can relax something happens that has her running again, straight back to Beau and the Knights Rebels. They take her in to protect her and start up the hunt looking for Chad, her ex, but it appears he has gone off the grid. It’s a game of sit and wait because the threat is always there, however her time spent at the compound gives her a glimpse of what she could have had but when she feels she is putting the club in danger she feels she needs to move on. But Beau won’t let her and agrees she can move into his house as he is not letting her out from his protection. How can they keep up the platonic stance they have going on when the proximity to each other is going to get a lot closer?

I loved the build-up of the chemistry and tension between Beau and Mackenzie, the dance is slow and sensual but when it finally explodes it is off the charts hot and passionate. The erotic moments just sizzle off the page and had me hooked. And don't get me started on what Beau was hiding in his pants! Whoohoo. RAWR!

They both become closer and we find out more about Beau’s sister, Missy and why he now helps women who have been victims of domestic violence. It takes some time for them both to open up about their pasts but when Kenzie reveals her final secret the ante is upped as does the threat to her and the club.

The storyline was complex and in depth and kept me engrossed throughout. Beau is a gorgeous hot biker with a need for control but he knows he needs to tread carefully with Kenzie. However Kenzie needs Beau to take the lead and let him protect her. When she has her panic attacks and her guilt is gnawing at her it is Beau who is the only one that can calm and ease her. The romance was a beautiful and flowing story and I loved both Beau and Mackenzie’s characters instantly. It was great to see how Mackenzie eventually overcame her insecurities and guilt and learnt to let Beau in. On the flipside it was so darn good to see Beau take charge and the banter between the two was a delight.

As always it was great to catch up with the other brothers and the women, Nix and Kadence, Holly and Sy, Jesse and Bell but it was good to find out more about Brooks and Kelly. Not to give away a big spoiler but something happens that had me dreading the outcome but there is more to come from that, I can feel it.

There was something that I instantly picked up on and knew what was going to happen, not sure if this was the intention of letting the reader in or me being Miss Marples again. However all’s well and cool and we definitely get a whopping happy ending for Beau and Mackenzie, which is what I have been hoping and praying for. This book was one of my favourites of the series and one I would definitely recommend. Five amazing stars.

River Savage delivers a chilling story that will completely captivate you from beginning to end as it takes you on a journey where the past collides with the present.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Barely getting out alive, Mackenzie finds herself running for her life after being trapped in an abusive relationship. Through this process we witness Kenz's strength, time and time again. She's a survivor, a woman on a path of healing. She never expected to see Beau again, but when the ground beneath her feet is rocked and she has nowhere else to go, her feet right along with her heart takes her to the man that saved her are all those months ago.

Losing his sister changed Beau's prospective on life. He's a protector by nature, a rescuer of woman from abusive relationships. He'll go to any lengths to save as many women as he can, while living in a guilt ridden life where misery has become the new normal. All around him he sees his brothers finding their happily ever after's while he commits more of himself to his side job within the club. The night he saved Mackenzie, he is forever tainted by the feelings she causes to stir within him.

From the moment they meet, both have a connection that is undeniable, instant, and real. That connection only intensifies as they reconnect. Though they are aware of their feelings for one another, they both don't look past the friendship line until they can no longer resist the pull. And let me tell you, when these two finally give in, they light those pages up into a roaring fire pit of steam, control, and submission.

Together, Beau and Kenz evoked heart felt emotions in me. I remember reading *THE SCENE* in Affliction, where Sy catches Beau holding Mackenzie in his arms after the escape. That scene destroyed me silently and I knew right then and there I wanted to read their story. Something about them drew me in and that moment solidified my love for them, but this story, their journey set in stone the feelings that I have for them. I am enamored by these two characters, inflamed to the core by their very beings.

The broody man of few words we have known since Incandescent bares it all in Infatuation. The STORY that comes full circle, hitting us with a trifecta of suspense, romance, and angst.

P.S. I love Sy, with every single part of me, but Beau walked his magical, beard wearing, sexy behind into my life and stole an entirely different part of me. Where I loved Sy with my heart, I love Beau with my soul. That man is beautiful, from the inside out and has so much love inside of him that it pours out of him and knocks you on your knees. There are no words to truly express the way this book made me feel while reading it. It touches home on a topic that has broken many women, picking them up and giving them the strength to keep surviving, healing, and fighting with each word that River has written.

Infatuation swallowed me whole as River's beautiful words squeezed my heart over and over again. She keeps getting better; her words, plots, and story concepts continue to twist me right into the pages of the Knights Rebels where their brotherhood is not just a word, but a bond created by family.
