Approaching Zero

Epic!
Surely, this articulate author has commend this tale with excitement and adventures mingled in mysteries, bravery and death. The story starts as a dormant volcano with not signs activity, then at the introduction of Suri, it started to burn with uncontrollable thrills. The unique imageries and well-seasoned characters testifies to the electrifying ambiance roaming each chapter. Kathy and Suri, posed as the lead characters and they both dominated their roles. With the awakening of Kathy, the true essence and plot of the story took shape. Indeed, this book earns the right to provoke one thoughts’!

Amazing tale!
I stood up one night to read this amazing tale and boy was it filled with unpredictable twists and turns. The writing style is exquisite and the pace is good. Journeying with Kathy and her companion Suri to vanquish the present evil lurking around the dark corners is epic. My eyes were glued to the Kindle screen and I refused sleep. Kathy as a vigilante dominated the story and her list became shorter and shorter. All in all, this brilliant author has crafted a tale that leaves vivid pictures in one’s mind. I love it!

Most books allow the reader to pause; to decide I will stop reading at the end of this paragraph, this chapter but "Approaching zero" does not allow the reader any such luxury. It draws the reader into Kathy and Suri dangerous world compelling the reader to keep turning the pages. The author paints such vivid pictures that the raw essence of emotion’s such has dread, hate, disgust and trepidation become palpable to the extent that you no longer feel simply entertained you become one with the characters.

To imagine what a parent feels when a child goes missing in mysterious circumstances? To imagine what would happen if you had two people that could rid the world of perverts and peodaphiles? This book, drew me in with such a pace and with such vivid imagery it was truly terrifying, not in a scary way but in the picture the author had painted over what went on.
A really good read, reminded me of A Mo hayder novel.
Good writing and paced just enough, but you still cant catch your breath! Until the end...Worth it.. just worth it!

Approaching Zero is one of the rare books I've read in a very long time that had me intrigued from beginning to end. This crime novel is very well written with just the right amount of thrill, suspense, crime, and action that had me glued to it as I turned every single page. All of the characters, my favorite being Kathy because of her abilities, are all unique and really well put together as you go through the book. I actually had never read a book by R. T. Broughton before this but I have to say I am now a fan.

Loaded with mystery and suspense, this read kept me intrigued from the first page to the last. Not only were the characters interesting and easy to relate to, but they were also extremely well-written. Author R.T. Broughton, does an amazing job of writing vivid descriptions that really stick with you long after the book is finished. Overall, this isn't a book I won't soon forget and highly recommend to everyone.

One thing that I love about a good crime fiction novel is that the stories are generally close enough to what could actually happen in this world that they give me honest to goodness chills. Nothing can do that quite like a crime against a child and author R.T. Broughton tackles the subject of pedophiles in "Approaching Zero".
The story of psychic, Kathy Smith, a psychologist who has taken a sabbatical from her work to pursue these monsters vigilante-style. In over her head, she gets the help that she needs from a young Malaysian psychic named Suri who has some very strong abilities in this area. As they continue on their mission, it becomes clear that Kathy has her own demons from the past that she must confront that are related to what is going on in the present. Not to mention the fact that other psychics are being murdered in serial killer fashion all around her. There is also a romantic element to the story as Kathy becomes involved with the cop investigating the crimes, who continuing warns her to remain uninvolved.
This was definitely a fast-paced crime story with many elements that fit very well together. I related well to the main character, who was a strong protagonist, yet still had a lot of issues that made her very human. The story line itself was quite original and I liked the inclusion of the young psychic, Suri, who brought a sense of innocence to a story that was anything but. A great read from a talented writer that I would love to see more from in the future.

I really enjoyed this fast paced novel. DCI Spinoza is a great character coupled with Kathy Smith, the psychologist with a knack for getting rid of unwanted miscreants such as child molesters and paedophiles! with the help of her Malaysian side kick..Not too long just about 376 pages or so, and defiantly not boring or long winded. the kindle edition was good, just enough..Recommend if you want to get to grips with a bloody good crime/thriller that keeps you on the edge of you seat! I don't know how many times I said, "Oh shit" when reading! keeps you on the edge of your seat! so to speak.
