1. No awards
2. Kindergarten to 2nd grade
3. This book takes you through the journey of a frog from egg to tadpole and all the way until it becomes a frog. Each page is a different stage of development and it includes how old the frog is, and what it eats and does at this stage. Real life photos show you exactly what the frog looks like at each stage.
4. I like that this book showed great photos, and a good description of each stage in the frog cycle, but it didn’t have a glossary or table to contents. I liked that the last two pages is a recap of photos at each stage.
5. Have students draw a frog life cycle, learn more about amphibians

This is one I use for lessons with first graders when we talk about lifecycles including those of the butterfly, chick, and frog. Kids love this book. It has "gross" pictures and clearly shows the progression from tadpole to frog. I love these books!

Very simple text to help readers learn how the frog changes from when it is born to when it becomes an adult. It is a short story, but done in a way that younger readers will be able to see with the pictures that are used and the visual at the very end of the story.

This book shows how a frog grows. Frogs start out as eggs that the mother lays in water. They are black eggs that are surrounded by jelly so they all stick together. After two weeks they hatch into tadpoles. They are able to swim and breathe underwater. The next thing to develop is the back legs. Now that they have their back legs they are able to swim by themselves. Once they are nine weeks old they are considered a frogpole. In this stage, the front legs are growing. After about twelve weeks the tadpole turns into a frog. They are able to swim and get out of the water. This would be used in a science classroom. It would be useful for a frog unit.
